Good morning!

Kathy, I'll continue to cheer for the Bears, though I'm actually a Raiders fan at heart. (Though they broke my heart a few years ago and I haven't been able to get excited about the NFL since!:sad1: :sad1: )

Shell, you'll need to start working on Bill #2 to convince him that he's going on the 2008 cruise. When I told him about the 2008 dates/Western itinerary, he looked at me with a slightly blank look as if to say, "So?" I reminded him that we ARE going, but I didn't see him get up and do the happy dance. So send some emails to his attention with subliminal messages!:thumbsup2

Off to get ready for work! Have a great day everyone!

Cheri

Cheri, and Jennifer, back a few pages Tadsmommy posted that her 13 year old daughter, Tiffany is putting together a kids crusie list so kids can get aquainted. You can PM her at Tadsmommy and give her your information and either set up a cruise name for your kids so they can set up to PM each other to get aquainted with your help, or give Tiffany a e-mail address for each child or if you prefer ask her to use your posting name to PM to for the kids to get aquainted.
She wants to help all the kids get aquainted, but she will need your help by giving her all your information. I know she would appreicate this.
As more kids join the cruise this will be very helpful for all the kids if you want to participate.
Just thought I'd let you know about it, in case your interested,

Kathy

Uh ... groping innuendos needed? I'm still working on Mike, but I've actually talked to him on the phone and I think maybe ... maybe ... well, I know he's interested:lmao: . Yesterday when Wendy called me (she was pacing outside her home during the first quarter of the game insted of watching it!), I even offered to take him to Orient Beach with me. She seemed to think THAT would work! :rotfl2: Hey, if you come up in July, then we'll have the perfect time to convince him then, too.

Mornin everyone....my Pats lost...poor poor cousin Bill... (yeah, right....he's worth millions and I haven't seen a dime yet).

I'm talking to my bosses son who is going on his first cruise next week... he's terrified about it and has constant worries about sea sickness and rough waters. I was kind and showed him our pics of the rough waters we went through and the storm that snuck up on us Tuesday morning, was it? I also put a handful of seasick meds on his desk that I had leftover from our trip. He's still not convinced....serves him right for going against my advice and booking Carnival.

Anyways....have a good day everyone....

Minnie had a bad dream last night and woke me up shaking and cowering beside me. So I spent part of the night rubing and talking to her until she calmed down and went to sleep.:sad2: Kathy

Kathy: :dogdance: Our dog, JJ, also shakes and wimpers in his sleep. Why do they do that? Is he having a nightmare? We have to shake him and wake him to stop? We got him at a local no-kill animal shelter (Operation Kindness). We were informed he had previously been abused. Still, he is very well-natured and tolerant of the kids. Cole tackles the poor dog and he just looks at me like "get this kid off me". He has been a great family dog and very low maintenance.:) - Jennifer

Denise... the only fruitbasket I want to see is the one that our steward delivers to our stateroom with oranges, nanas and a pineapple. :rolleyes1
Someones gonna have to drag me by leash to that beach.

My husband is still twitching from this analogy. He concurs.

But I did make it more painful for him by changing it to "grapes and a banana." :rotfl:

Ok, back to work, just had to share before 5 pages went by...

WENDY! <shocked> You made BEAR STEW! Dimples dove RIGHT under the covers, whimpering, when she heard that!

Shell, Bill, love the doggie cartoons!! :lmao:

Shell,
the new cruise list is ALL I thought it would be:rotfl2:
Just remember I never get mad, but I do get even:rolleyes1

Jennifer,
our dog was an abused dog too. We have had her about 7 months now and she is my baby!! She is such a good dog and has come so far since we got her. She had many fears to overcome and still has some to go. But we are working on it.
I just cant understand how anyone could ever abuse such a wonderful dog.

I am glad you found JJ and gave him a good home too.;)

Many abused dogs never get adopted because they have so much trama to work through and can really take a lot of attention and extra love to help them through it.:dogdance:

We tell everyone she is our special puppy.

Well the clouds are coming in and that means the cold front is on it's way.

Time to clean up a bit, have a furniture repair man coming this afternoon to fix a defect in our couch and loveseat. thank goodness they are still under warranty!!!

Kathy

Good day everyone! It's been a busy day had to go back to school to pick up a sick boy...his sinuses

Regarding the St. Maarten excursion:
We were thinking of doing the 2 Flags Tour since we've never been there. The Birnhaum's Tour book gave it a thumbs up. Then pondering where else to go since it said that was only 3 hours long. Maybe Front Street, Big Bay beach along Captain Hodge's Wharf along the Boardwalk--the museum and such are suppose to be there also; or I've read Little Bay is a family friendly beach. In reading www.experiencestmaarten.com/familyfun/ page I learned of Simpson Bay--a floating playground there and family friendly. In my consideration is safety and appropriate adventure. Lot of the excursions were going to Orient Beach and I'm going to stay clear of that area! I wish that there was an excursion like Sunny Liston's in St. Thomas that took care of you for the day. I haven't been able to find that for St. Maarten. Unless we join up with someone else it will just be the boys and I. :dance3: Hey, you guys that are veterans what did you do on St. Maarten?

Yes, Cheri, we love Gurnee Mills. Last year we went there also for winter break then up to Wisconsin Dells at the Great Wolf Lodge. We also are reading for tickets to Great America. We had them last summer but never had time to use them. My understanding is that they are also discounting adult tickets also. :yay:

Talk to you guys later.

You know what, Dawn? There is! Let me e-mail Sunny and get his buddy's name and contact information for his St. Martin tour.

Dawn
we did the under 2 flags tour once. It was pretty good, not spectacular, but we couldnt understand most of what our guide said due to his strong accent which made it hard.
You do see a few spectacular views and visit a couple of gift shops that are nice. But our driver was a scary nut!!! We stopped at a red light, which does mean stop there , just like here, but he was going to run it but a pedestrian was in the cross walk, so he had to stop. He was yelling and shaking his hands at her and she was yelling back.
he also pulled across and stopped on the road where people coming around the corner could not of seen us in time to stop!! I know not all drivers are like this, but it did make for an interesting tour??:rotfl2: We were hanging on for dear life to our grandkids. But with a good guide it would be a good tour with plenty of time left over for shopping. Just take the water taxi at the pier for $5 per person and it will take you right to the big shopping area.

Alos a few feet from the place where they let you off the taxi is a nice beach where you can rent umbrellas and chairs for the afternoon and play in the water if you want and shopping is just a few feet away, food too.

We have also done a tour that is bus and boat to Marigot for shopping. But we found the prices were very high there!! The boat was fun because they had a man singing and talking with everyone on the top deck. He was very good!!
The other times we have been there we just walked around and shopped.

DD and family went on the sailing regattas and loved it!!! You learn to work the riggings and then you race against another sailing boat. Both ships had been in the Americas cup and one had actually won it once. There is an age limit on it, but not sure what it was. But she said it was an AWESOME excursion.

Now Linda tell Dimples she knows better, I was only trying to warm up those CHICAGO Bears before my boys got there and froze. Dimples is always safe, Plus Tinkabelle would never allow any animals to be harmed in the name of football:lmao:

Ummm Shell, catchbacks a b...., errr a woogal
