Happy Friday everyone!!!

well our cold snap seem to be over, at least for a few days.

I want everyone to have a safe holiday weekend, so if you party hardy, please DONT drive!!! I dont want to loose any of my new family to drunk driving.

We are staying home and watching movies. Greg is usually asleep by 9 or 9:30 anyway, so Minnie, Peter and I will welcome the New Years.

We are going to put the Leg Lamp in the upstairs window this evening and light it up each night through New years. Hopefully the neighbors will see it and say something. I will try and take a picture of it, if it comes out I will post it.

Happy Friday Everybody!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve! We will probably go and hang out with some friends from church, but then be back home before midnight. Our old man (not me, the dog) gets scared to death of fireworks, so I don't like for him to have to be in his crate when they are being shot off. So, we will probably spend midnight at home with just the two of us, and the six furry children!

Happy New Year to All.
We will go out to dinner (the whole gang) relatively early and then head home and have a home based New Year's Rockin' Eve. Elizabeth found a New Year's Eve kit last year at Target and she wants to get another for this year. It comes filled with hats, noisemakers, etc. and then we make some popcorn and guacamole and stay up late. If it wasn't for the kids, I probably would have a tough time making it til midnight!

Then New Year's Day, we are like Bill, we gotta have the pork and saurkraut. Not my favorite meal of the year, but my mom (despite being Italian) drilled it into my head that we needed to eat that for good luck for the year. We also observe a Greek tradition (Mina is Greek and her mom hails from an island and is stuck here in Pittsburgh - poor Elli) in cutting the New Year's bread. There is a coin hidden inside and whomever gets it in their slice will have good luck for the year. You even cut a piece for "the house" - i'm not really sure why - you just do.

Linda - Mina is hoping to submit her baklava recipe for the cookbook if she ever gets 10 minutes to sit down and type it.

So what are everyone's New Year's Resolutions. I used to make fun of the people who would show up at the gym starting on January 2 but after 3 months of complete chaos in my world (work, family, vacation and the holidays) I am one of them.

You are right, I do want to remove it. However, a point of discussion came up last night. You all know that we are huge college football fans. Well, this year, the cruise leaving on a Saturday wasn't a bad thing. The in-state rivalry (Ga. Tech vs. UGA) was at UGA, so we didn't have tickets anyway. However, next year, that will be a home game for us. This makes for a very troubling set of circumstances. You have to understand, Lisa would not even set our wedding date on the day of a home game!

So, we just realized that and are still discussing at this point what we are going to do.
