As for getting all panicy about this stuff.... DONT. We have enough to worry about with packing booze correctly, how many shoes does Christine have, will Okie only get to see the port side of the ship....

I went through a ton of material and the 02 cancellation that I could find out of 9 years of history. I think we're just fine.

I don't know if anyone answered your question from 7 pages ago about tipping at Topsiders. Last year we tipped in cash based on info I had read on the DIS. (Service was EXCELLENT, and we tipped accordingly.)

I'm not sure if that is still the case???? Guess we'll need to check it out.

I looked but couldn't find a guideline to follow...I find it really hard because I am use to tipping based on the price of the meal...if you find the info can you pm me...thanks...

There are cat 9 cabins left....put money down on onboard account last night...the cm said they had rooms left starting in cat 9...

Why, just this morning, I said to my dad, "I can't wait for snow." No lie, it's absolutely true.

Too bad you didn't live closer then...you could have cleared my driveway all winter....by time March comes we have no where to put the snow...the snow banks are too high...

Well, the neighborhood cancelled the garage sale. They're going to do it next weekend. They said it was up to us if we wanted to go ahead with our own. Gee......thanks for the permission. So, since I had it all down anyway; I went ahead. I closed down around 11:00 and made $150. I thought "Great, I'm leaving in three weeks and I'll pneumonia all for $150 dollars." I'll try again next weekend.

The day has turned out to be really nice though...........

Did DCL do anything to try to make cancelling your cruise ok? I would be very upset....

Can't say I like reading about leaking DCL ships either though....

I agree. That was the only odd thing about the time we spent at Sapphire last year..it felt as if we were sort of at a hotel (because they charged us a lot for the chairs) but when the girls wanted a snack it was tough to find anything.

Sapphire is great on Sunday afternoons with a live band at the bar...currently closed. It seems really commercialized and it is at the Sapphire Resort, so it does feel like your stepping on some toes.

Jaime, don't worry about it! First of all, DCL has only cancelled one time and that was in 2002 due to illness. Second, as long as you have trip insurance, if they did cancel, it would be covered, plus I'm sure in true Disney style, you'd be taken care of. Third, those ships are run by professionals, and are two of the safest ships on the sea. You can even check their safety ratings!
