Who has plans for the weekend??
Not sure for us, we have been thinking about zipping over to WDW for a day but it will depend on the weather. It needs to be a little cooler than it has been.

If it was only that easy! I would move to Florida in a heartbeat! I keep trying to get my grandparents to move down...they go to St.Pete's Beach every year from March to May.

WOW, 90 minutes without a post:confused3
that is unbelievable for this chatty bunch.

I may have to stoop to posting jokes again unless we get a few more posts this morning:idea:
If you've read any of my jokes in the past you will know you DO NOT want to read any more of them:rolleyes1

Lets see a few posts while I am gone to the store, I will check back when I get home to see if my threat was taken seriously:rotfl2:

Okay, to save Kathy from posting jokes, here is an article from Housekeeping Monthly on May 13, 1955....

The Good Wife's Guide
Housekeeping Monthly - May 13, 1955

  • Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favourite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.
  • Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you'll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.
  • Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.
  • Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dust cloth over the tables.
  • Over the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering for his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.
  • Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.
  • Be happy to see him.
  • Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.
  • Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first - remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.
  • Make the evening his. Never complain if he comes home late or goes out to dinner or other places of entertainment without you. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure and his very real need to be at home and relax.
  • Your goal: To try and make sure your home is a place of peace, order, and tranquillity where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit.
  • Don't greet him with complaints and problems.
  • Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or have him lie down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.
  • Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.
  • Don't ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.
  • A good wife always knows her place.

Good Morning! I don't know if I want to post after THAT or not! And I'm going to refrain from making a comment!

1/2 way done with the wash and have tidied up 3 of the rooms, Alexis is begging for breakfast (I don't know what she is going to do when the time changes!)

MaryEllen, glad to see you back on the boards! I can't hardly wait to leave for Florida. We leave in 26 days!

Home today so I'll be checking in. Dawn

Nuff said.

Oh - loved Jennifer Lopez on dwts:yay: she rocks but what was with the outfits?

Hi Meme!
Don't you know... JLo's PREGNANT and trying to hide it. I have to say too they did a great job of it, I was trying to see and you really could hardly tell.
You're still camping? I wish we could take ours out one more time but I don't think it's gonna happen.
Have a great Halloween!

But what happens when I'm the one who is at home all day and Mina works outside the house 3 days a week?

Sounds like you need to find you a flowerdy apron big boy!:rotfl: :rotfl2:

Hey everyone!
My ticker changed from months to days!!!:cool1:

Looks like it's going to be a fun day with the battle of the sexes already raging:rotfl2:

Welcome back MaryEllen. I don't have girls, but I have boys. 4 yo Alex and 16 mo. old Jackson. But Alex is a big hit with the girls, just like his father:rotfl:

I haven't posted a photo in a while. Thought I'd post one I took this morning of the skeleton hoodie I got Jackson at Target. Thought it might be nice also, as part of his pirate ensemble. It's glow in the dark.
