Christine: I sure hope they get you all "adjusted" by the cruise

Dawn: what a cutie pie your granddaughter is:cutie:

Kathy: we are 2022-anyone heard any reports on this room??

Okie,
here is the only report I have seen for your room.

Sail Date: 04/29/07
Notes: We liked this room, the location was very convenient to the fwd elevators. Has a steamer trunk, so plenty of room for 2 adults & 2 small children. No loud or unusual noises from anywhere, and we would be happy with this location again in the future!

Kathy

Christine ,
you asked what everyone was doing after they board until they can get into their rooms?

First we go up to topsiders and have lunch. we only have one small carry on that has wheels so we take a walk around deck 10 to walk off lunch, then grab something to drink on deck 9 drink station and find aplace to sit down around the family or adult pool area and people watch. We like to take some photos before the ship gets crowded too, ,after which we go to the room, unpack the carry on, drop off pillowcases at guest services desk.
watch people boarding the ship from an upper deck, until time to go to the meet.

Then we go to the meet, dash to the room just in time for the safety drill, then hopefully luggage has arrived so we set out dinner clothes and run off to the sail away party.

That is our usual routine,

kathy

Good evening all
After school I went to the doc's again, this time for my knee. I have been having knee problem for several years and now we are trying gel injections. So, the doc tells me the gels are made from rooster combs... **** a doodle do! Too many margaritas and I may start crowing! But if it makes it feel better, I'm glad to do it. Along that line, the cough is still here and the teeth surgery is Friday. All in all, I am a mess but still plan to be fabulous bythe time the ship sails.
Planning on startingmy tan towels tonight- I'm scared of tan booths and my arms are brown but my legs scream in white!
Have a great evening, will check back later, want to get to 500 before we sail!
Judy

Kathy

What's this?! Haven't heard of this...

Dawn,
you can take a couple of pillowcases and some waterproof markers, put them in a zip lock baggie. Take them to guest services desk on the first day, ask for them to be autographed. Then the last night of the cruise they will be returned to your room all signed. This is a free perk.

I suggest you use white pillowcases so it shows up better, also wash and iron them first. I usually include a card with my name and room number on it too, although they will attach one to it, I am just extra cautious.

I like to use sharpie colored markers, not just black but the light colors like yellow and pink dont show up as well.
You can also request just specific characters too. Like just all the princesses or just the fab 5.
if you dont want to do pillowcases you can take a matte style frame that can be written on instead.

Cool! Are there any other perks we should know about! Thanks. Dawn

Is anybody watching DWTS? What just happened to Marie? I was sitting here working, half watching the show, and I looked up and Marie was on the ground and they cut to commercial! I hope she's ok!

Hey Hey there I am a devoted Turkey cruiser, were working on the 2000 post:thumbsup2 I just need more participation's from the rest of my flock!!!

Now do you want us to leave the ship in one piece for you....?:cool1:

Have a great cruise

Rob:cool1:

BTW got ya

Just read this thanks to my ma. Sorry Rob. Hope everything sorts out okay for ya! Have a nice cruise, and don't wear out the ship too much. :thumbsup2

Okay, so right now I'm patiently twiddling my thumbs waiting for one of my two lab partners to CALL ME!!! I'm trying to get our lab (physics) done, but niehter of them are willing to cooperate. I'm just about to go AWOL. :lmao:

1. We plan on leaving Orlando at 9:30am...what time should we get to the port?
10:30 unless you hit traffic, if you are taking your own car. We are leaving about the same time. They will not let you check in any earlier than 10:30 but there will be people waiting
2. What time do we start boarding?
If they clear customs on time we should start boarding about Noon, when you walk into the terminal you will first go through security and then up an escalator at the top of the escalator you will get a boarding number. So even though the ship starts boarding at noon you can't get on until your number is called.
3. I need PALO reservations!!! Where do I go again? And is this the first thing we should do? Is it normally a long line?
Palo Reservation are made at Rockin D Bar. Yes, go there first, it looks like they are taking reservation starting at noon. If you want specific days and time you need to be there as early as possible. Last time I was there they didn't start taking them until 1pm. We got in line as soon as we boarded and by 1pm the line was very long.
4. The outside tables by Topsiders are they by the pools?
No, they are to the sides and back of topsides, however there are tables all around the pool area. If you want a table by the pool I would suggest one person wait in line to get the Palo reservation while the second person goes up to the deck and get a table by the pool. Then you can just get food from Topsiders and bring it out to your table.
5. When is our ladies meet planned for?
6. Who is doing the Wine or Martini tastings?
I am planning on doing the Martini Tasting on Sunday (looks like there is a second one on Thursday too)
7. Everyone talks about carrying liquor onboard...is it okay to bring it in checked luggage...I'll have it already in my checked luggage from our flight...should I take it out and carry it on?
Sorry, I can't answer this, I won't be bringing on any liquor
8. How much is the laundry? Does it take coin or bills? What deck is the laundry on?
Sorry can't answer this, no way will I do laundry on vacation, that's why I got more luggage this weekend :thumbsup2
9. Has anyone done the glass bottom boat tour in Castaway Cay?
10. What do you bring in your carry-on? Will we have our luggage before our meet?
I bring what I plan on wearing to dinner that night, a bathing suit for each of us and a couple pairs of underwear this way if our luggage gets delayed I am prepared. The last time we got all of our luggage before the drill but I know that's not always the case
11. What time does our rooms open?
1:30pm the ropes drop
12. What time do we usually get of the ship on the last day?:sad1:
We were off by 7:30am but sometimes the ship doesn't clear customs right away so this is not guaranteed
13. If we ship anything before hand...what address do we use
:confused3 sorry don't know but check the main board I have seen lots of threads with this info

I hope this helps, also keep in mind I went two years ago so not all of this might be the same.

1) ALWAYS have used DCL transportation, when leaving the BC at 11:15 we are in port by 12:30
2)Yes, boarding is between 11:30 and 12:00....usually.....
3)Yes, rocking D Bar.....even if they say they are "sold out" people cancell after the first nights dining experience.....we prefer brunch.
4)No topsiders by pools, but I LOVE sitting on deck 10 watching the dumbotron, looking down at the pool sipping a cold beverage.
5)Not a "lady"...LOL
6)Beer tasting for me at Diversions
7)Wouldn't want to chance breaking anything in my luggage, I put it in my carryon. Just a carry on suitcase that fits a couple of cases of beer and a bottle of rum......as I empty it, they refill it with souvineers....
8)Laundry takes change and there is one on every level....i think....DW does some on the last sea day so she doesn't have all of it when we get home.
9)Nope.....
10)We usually come from WDW, I bring MY "carryon", LOL and depending on weather, a swim suit and a sweatshirt if it is to get cold.
11)When they let you on the ship you can go right to the room.
12)Early seating has breakfast at 6:15-6:30 and Late is 7:45-8:00. They want most off by 9:15. we have 11:30 flights usually so we get off quick!
13)Never shipped anything....I'd be interested

Just got back from a run ... I'll have to check the DVR!

Marie fainted. She said she does that sometimes when she gets out of breath and it was not planned. Glad she's ok. whew!

FINALLY got caught up! Been camping all weekend and here at work....dang, 327 pages! Yep, we were in Bristol Indiana 7 miles from the Tornadoes, cant wait to sail....LOL
