OK... ignore my ramblings...

I'm a little distracted.. got a disturbing phone call from a family member on the way to work.

I'm thinking of becoming an orphan again...

I've worked about 2 hours on 'my list' and packed a few things, organized our outfits, etc. I'm going to have to bring my list to make sure everything gets where it's suppose to be. I think I'm going to do laundry when we arrive at the Radisson Friday evening. We'll have been gone from home 4 days by then. I'm crossing my fingers not to have to wash on the cruise but 7 days is a llllllooooonnnnngggg time for us to go without doing laundry because that is when the ketchup drips on the shirt or your lap, or worse BOTH! and you go through 2 outfits in a day!

Alexis says it is time to eat lunch (actually she's been begging since 9:30!) so I better go whip up something!

If you are out there...how were you able to get those navigators printed?
Jeff

Morning all, beautiful weather here today it's about 60 right now and should get up to 75:cloud9: I love the weather in Vegas (OK, except the 120 degree summers). It's so funny, if it snows here everyone goes outside and takes pictures and gets all excited. Where else does that happen:confused3

I'm a little worried about my trip to Disneyland. The CA fires are really bad and are closing down the highways that we need to take to get there. I am constantly checking for updates. DL isn't directly affected but they have cancelled their fireworks and are speeding up their parades for the safety of the employees. We haven't seen any smoke here yet, but I'm sure by the end of the day we will have lots of it all around the mountains.

Question of the Day:

What are you looking most forward to doing or seeing on the cruise?

1. I am looking forward to meeting all of you. You guys have been part of my everyday routine for the past year and I can't wait to meet everyone.
2. Sitting on our balcony every night eating a Mickey Bar.
3. Participating in all the activities I didn't get to do when we were on the 4 night cruise.

Be nice, Mel.... my wife is 27. (How she remembers things like Johnny Carson hosting the Tonight Show, earth shoes, mood rings and Coke Classic IN GLASS BOTTLES.... no clue.)

Hi wife :wave2:
:rolleyes1

If Shell is 27..that must make me about 37. :rotfl: I'll take it!

Jeff

I right clicked on them and converted them to PDF's and printed from there. This might be a special feature on my work computer because I have the upgraded version on Adobe. If you can't convert them, let me know and I will email them to you.

Oh gawd ... I had a mood ring ... and earth shoes ... :guilty: ... er ... I mean ... I've seen PICTURES of mood rings and earth shoes.

Yeah, that's the ticket ...

Good Morning All:

I slept in my OWN room for the first time last night. I woke up and didn't know where i was. Pathetic.

Woo, you go girl. Keep on running.

Its cold here, I'm used to it being in the 70s and now we can't get out of the 50s. Birrrrr. But it gets me in the mood for the cruise, where its nice and warm.

Thing I'm looking forward to the most....

Smelling the ocean for the first time. Getting to see the lights of St Thomas @ night, getting to spend time with great friends, eating Bread and jam with every meal. Other than that, getting to go on vacation with people I love.

ttyl.

:lmao: :lmao: Yep, that is pathetic. But hey, at least you finally got there!

Woo, you go girl. Keep on running.
The funny part is ... this morning I got on the scale and it said I lost 12 lbs since Sunday (in my best Austin Powers voice ... riiiiiiiiiight ...) :lmao:

Other than that, getting to go on vacation with people I love.
I love you T-Bird!!! Can't wait to snuggle with you on Deck 4 (OOPS! Was that outloud? I know we said we weren't going to tell anyone :rolleyes1 )

Thanks I think I figured it out. I have a Mac, but I do have Adobe professional so I should be able to make it work. Printed a couple pages, but I think I need to save first so that they aren't too tiny.

I bring cash for the tips, i was told by a CM that when paid on account it takes them a little to recieve it, actually the last 3 sailings I give the room stewart 50.00 the day we board...(we have 2 rooms) and I tell them, here this is for that room (and point to the girls) and ours....just a little in advance......thanks......and the first night I shake the server and asst. servers hand after our first dining with and extra 30 for server and 20 for asst and say "take care of us and I will take care of you"...escargot EVERT night!! LOL

Great idea!!! Thanks for the "tip", ha ha. So do you slip them the extra cash when you shake their hands (like in the movies)? :lmao:

Woo, I thought you wanted trey to snuggle with you. He's not really snuggly anymore with that soul patch. What I want to know if why they don't have servers on deck 4. Thats just wrong.

I just figured I have to fight off too many women to get to Trey ... :rotfl2:

Ok, I see a flaw with the tipping before hand. I want to see the true 'character' of the server. Alex, Daniel, Fabio and el tigre were genuine from the beginning, great people, great servers. I rewarded them as such. I would hate to think that they only saw me as $$$$. But I understand where your coming from.

Yep, I agree with you T-Bird. The best part is getting to know the servers. Not the best to start a relationship with a bribe. :rotfl2:

Ya know I'm just not willing to take that chance. We give 'em all $20 at the begining and if they are just OK that will be part of their tips for the end of the week but it they are extra speical they will get their full suggested tips at the end of the week.

Josh,
Just watched the shuttle blast off. By the time it was 7 miles up I could clearly see it out my back door. There was some high clouds today so i only saw it for about 15 seconds and it disappeared behind the clouds.

Good thing l looked out, i discovered Pixie has dug a hole in the back yard. She came out all proud to stand by me when I was filling it back up, until I scolded her. Of course she didnt catch on just stood there wagging her tail, but Minnie who was clear across the yard came over and sat next to me with her ears back and head down.
Eventually I think Pixie got the idea I didnt like the hole. I need to catch her at it to really punish her, but I know she didi it because after she took a drink of water the bowl had a ton of sand in it. Plus minnie had been inside with me.

Gee you guys have been busy posting,
Hey if Shell is 27 and Jeff is 37, then I get to be 47 :rolleyes1
Boy that is a dead give away for me being OLD if I am happy to be 47:lmao:

What I look forward to the most:

The first time I meet everyone, whether it is at the Radisson , in the terminal or at the meet, that is such an exciting boost to the trip!!

I am also looking forward to getting some payback time for a certain sneaky person whose name I will not mention!!! Did you think I would forget!! You know who you are;)

Kathy

The "taxis" were actually pick up trucks with a bed on the back with some bench seating. They do drive thru some "seedy" areas to get you there, if I remember correct it was a couple of miles and 2-3 dollars a person. Once again for those of you never been to St. Thomas the doors in the shops are about 3 inches thick with bars across them....."don't wander far for the shopping area on your own" was the advice we got from the taxi driver. That is when DW decided that all the shopping areas in the carribean are the same. Excursions for us, and maybe an hour or so in the shops.

This concerns me with the girls...not sure what to do:confused3
