11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion Part 3

I think we should definitely hold a Rainforest reunion! I love the warm tile chaise lounges and the dry heat room is wonderful. Judy and I always book the spa sampler on the first day and enjoy the champagne they give you. Of course, we would be the only ones having champagne at 8 AM. The sampler isn't listed online, so we'll have to book quickly on Saturday.

Judy, back me up on my closet...they have NO idea!

Dawn, as luck would have it, Sarah's cheerleading team is holding a yard sale this Saturday. Of course, we just learned about it. I took Goodwill probably 15 suits, pants, skirts, etc. from the old size 2 and 4 stages. So, I'm scrounging through purses and overnight bags to donate! We just bought new breakfast room chairs, so I'll donate the old ones. BTW, you should have seen Judy getting the guy to load the chairs in her CRV!

Is there an advantage to putting $$ on your onboard account prior to arriving? I can see charging it up front to the Disney Visa and then having a few extra disney dollars to spend, but is there something else I'm missing?

The only reason I do it is because the CN$ is higher than the US$ right now for the first time in 30 years...so I figured I should take advantage of it now just in case it drops...

It took about ten days to get them here so i would think you should have your any day now...

Went to the neurosurgeon with my mom today-neck NOT healing. It has been almost 7 weeks . My mother needs to have surgery-ASAP. He wanted to admit her today-but that took us off guard-he needs to admit her a day or two before surgery because of her bleeding issues-plans to admit her on Saturday and do the surgery on Monday-very risky he tells us but the alternative is to live in pain everyday of her life with a neck brace on that she HATES!! Her bleeding disorder may play a major part of this surgery. Thanks for letting me vent!

It is looking more and more of an iffy cruise for us

Your family is in my prayers...please try to remember to take care of yourself too...

Okay I bought Kierra MD's for supper tonight since we were driving around looking for cars and she cried because I was supose to make her taco's...so that's what were having tomorrow...I was shocked she wanted anything over MD's...

The only problem is it would be next year before she got back and we want her to cruise with us....

All joking aside...anyone have any weight loss tips they are willing to share...I am eating right & exercising...what else can I do...to loose my last few pounds...I was thinking about drinking 5 cups of green tea and 8 cups water with lemon a day...has anyone ever try that?

Okie, the spa sampler hooks you on some of their best treatments. You get a facial, a massage, and a trip to the Rainforest. I think it's around $110-120 but Judy and I have always scammed more time in the Rainforest. My first few cruises I thought that the spa stuff was stupid, but I am a TRUE convert. We've found that if you are REALLY sweet, you get "extras" like free products (expensive) or they'll let you stay longer or fit you in where they have no appointments. As I have said before, Judy can chat 'em up with the best!

You're going to need the rest...hang on!

Got so excited about the spa that I forgot to talk about the Rainforest...

It sounds strange, but trust me, it's way cool. You walk in and on the left are WARMED tile lounges...it's so relaxing to lie there letting the warm tiles work on your muscles. They also have a steam sauna and a dry heat sauna. For some reason, I can't breath in the steam, so I LOVE the dry sauna again with warmed tiles...yum. The aromatherapy showers are so great...lavender, rose, etc. The water comes out aromatically...cool.

We wear our bathing suits and they give you robes. They have a nice locker room where you change. The only drawback is that men are allowed, too. It's kind of weird, but you get over it.

Oh, yeah, they also do one hour teeth whitening for anyone interested. I think it's like the Zoom process with light.

Robin beat me to the explaination but let me say that an hour in the spa is priceless! That's why I am padding my account now, so the money is there and not spent on the daily running around now. I love to prepay everything.

I am thinking about Karioke routines for the three fat sistas....of course some say they have a weight problem and don't know what a weight problem is....
Just finished watching the Boston Legal on my DVR.. love that Denny! Criminal Minds tonight- that's a switch!
Never made that chocolate pizza- gonna try it soon!

That's why I don't attempt to name specific names...I would always accidentally leave off someone! It's the old age.

I'm feeling better today, thanks. My chest feels more clear but I have a slight allergic reaction to the antibiotics...itchy rash....but it's better than the nasty cough.

For everyone who is book GTY...Just called DCL to put money in my onboard account and she was telling me that our rooms will probably be assigned next Thursday or Friday...that's when they get ready to print our cruise documents ...and they like to assign all rooms before they print the documents...
on't see that being a problem though

Oh Okie, I'm so sorry you just keep getting bad news.

I see that happen to a lot of people with their parents and I know that day will be coming for me too. You are doing such a good job of caring for them. I really hope you guys don't have to cancel the cruise.

I wish I could help you, I'm struggling to lose my last few pounds as well. It gets really hard when you get close to your goal. Can you somehow up your exercise a notch? That usually works for me, my problem is I haven't been DOING it....

That's funny about Kierra and the MD's. I would faint if Alex wanted tacos over MD's.
