.......the best cure I had today was....The Travel Channel's Disney Cruise video:banana: .....ah.....hot tub and a frozen kalua and cream...with a cherry on top:love: QUOTE]

Hi Okie!! Glad to hear you are home and feeling better...I just wanted to say that this past week when my husband & daughter were sick, we watched the Travel Channel's Disney Cruise video too!!! And even though I wasn't ill (knock on wood) it made my day even brighter. Although I wish I'd had the frozen kahlua - that would have made my day even better.

Melanie-you have the most beautiful kids  Found pictures from my wedding-need Joshua to help me put them on that site to be able to show them here....GUESS WHAT!!...It has puffy sleeves too:lmao: must have been an 80's thing:rotfl2:

Going to the opthomologist this afternoon...please don't let them stick a needle in my eye:eek: I'm scared:scared1:

Dad is home-depressed though about his situation.:guilty:

Tonya-glad you are almost back in you bedroom!

Tell you how it worked out at the doctor's later....

Okie - Glad to hear you are on the mend. I know it sounds freaky but I actually have had a needle stuck in my eye repeatedly for a corneal problem I had a few years ago. It was a bit freaky BUT it didnt' hurt one bit. Once I got over the thought of it, it was really no big deal. Less pain than a novacaine shot. Truly no pain whatsoever.
Good luck

Judy - Tell me about the GF. We almost always stay at the Poly when we stay at a monorail resort...but we wanted a change and I've always lusted after the GF. Though I had always heard only good, I read today on the resorts board a long thread about people who hated the GF and now I'm scared. :scared1:

Tell me what you think.
jeff

Jeff, I have stayed at the GF twice and loved it both times. The people who work there are amazing. I swear every time we walked out of our room some one would clean it. I didn't feel it was stuffy at all. The also have a great quick serve food area that has an amazing view of the fireworks. What's better than chicken fingers and fireworks  What did they say was wrong with the resort?

Everything from unfriendly staff...to rooms that weren't "worth the money" to stuffy, etc.

I think that some people get their expectations all out of whack and think that since they are staying at the GF that someone should carry them to their rooms :rotfl2: Some people said that GF charges Ritz rates but doesn't measure up. Well...I think that's an apples and oranges comparison because the Ritz (in Orlando for example) is a great hotel...but it's not connected by monorail to the Magic Kingdom.

I think I'm over being scared about this and plan to keep the ressie. We always stay at the Poly when staying at a monorail resort and I have been wanting to try something new. Love the Poly but I think the feel of the GF is tremendous. Class all the way.

Hi Nana Heads -

Just wanted to pop in to say hi to you guys. Sorry we won't be joining everyone on this year's trip - we're doing a Land and Sea with just a 3 night on 11/29. But, BEHAVE and have a good time! Hope everyone is doing well, especially Okey!

Jamie and the other Foxes

Hi Jamie,
it is good to hear from you. I hope you guys have a magical cruise too!!

Jeff,
great photo but I was shocked!! Not at the amount of your hair but the color.
I dont know why but I would of pictured you as a sandy blonde, not black hair:confused3

The cowboys are sooooo cute!!!!

Well after looking at everyones younger photos I can truly say everyone has got better looking with age:thumbsup2 Or maybe it is just the different hair styles and clothes but there is definately a BIG improvement.:rolleyes1

You notice i didnt contribute any photos, with age comes wisdom:lmao:

Yes, the rates are insane (what Disney Hotels aren't.) Both times I have stayed there I felt it was worth it for the service and the monorail. I don't think you will be disappointed.

That's great to hear. I know the monorail is worth it from staying at the Poly....and while I have had great service at the Poly and at the BC/YC..I'm curious to see if the GF steps it up a notch. Not expecting it..just wondering.

Hi all!!!

So I just found out that my husband's side of the family wants to organize a family cruise for next year between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so as my husband and I are the only cruisers in the family, my MIL informed me that it is our duty to share which cruise line we think would be the best for our diverse group - although I was also informed that as long as there is a bar onboard, all the adults will be happy! party: So we'll have to pay special attention when we cruise DCL for the first time next month (I still can't believe our cruise is NEXT month!!!). So a few questions...does anyone know if DCL offers group discounts? I know some lines do a discount if you book 10 or more cabins, but not sure what DCL does. Does anyone have a great travel agent who could help us with a large group booking? I normally book my own cruises online, but I'm thinking it might be easier to work with a TA who could organize everything for us...or should I use the cruise line directly? Anyone else organized a big group before? If so, what were your experiences and which cruise line did you choose? Any & all tips are welcome...

:rotfl: KATHY.... I am back!!!

OK...so I just signed out and signed back in..that's it. I thought about making a new name..but tried the signing out and in first...lol..and it worked!!! I can't believe how the dumbest thing worked. :rotfl:
So it was a DIS board thing I guess...but no one here knew why..:rolleyes1

I think I need to do some reading...:surfweb:

What'd I miss?popcorn::

I think there are group discounts but Ill leave it to the experts (Shell? Kathy?) to tell you for sure. Whatever you do, you should book onboard. I'm assuming you would get whatever group discount there is along with the discount and credit for booking onboard. But I may be wrong about all this..Just wanted to hear myself talk (type). :rotfl:

Hi Tangible
