11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion Part 2

Inspired by Judy to take Elizabeth out of school for another couple of days, and worried about not having a vacation planned after this cruise, I booked a long weekend trip to WDW in January over MLK weekend. I know Kathy, you said that every holiday is crowded, but wondering if folks have been to the World on this weekend. We haven't yet gotten flights so I'm not 100 percent committed...but we did book the GF - we've never stayed there and with the AAA discount (and hopefully an AP one coming up) it's doable.

We also are tentatively scheduled to go to WDW over spring break. I know that this is nuts but....we have annual passes that expire in May so we want to "get our money's worth." :rotfl2: We are booked offsite at the Marriott Grande Lakes and figure that we may actually try Universal (horrors) for the first time this trip. Any tips from anyone out there on navigating Easter Weekend at WDW. Do we just avoid MK at all costs or are all the parks insane? As a side note, a couple of years ago we were in California visiting my sister and went to DL on Easter Day and it wasn't really all that crowded.

I love the smell of salmon in the morning......

For those who dont get the gag...Woo speaks almost daily about the salmon mousse' at Palo. She adores the stuff.... I emailed a few partners in crime and set up the whole "Disneys dissin the Salmon for da cruisin...". Apparently it worked....

From the doghouse...

mutt

Don't worry mutt, the rest of us DH's are with you in moral support. It's kind of like this guy I work with, he says he doesn't get put in the doghouse...he just gets let out of it every now and then. :rotfl:

My TA just called and said she would give my discount but I would have a 99% chance of loosing all of my ressies:scared1: I told her we would take our chances...she seemed surprised.

She just emailed me to say everything stayed the same and we have our discount.

Mannn!! That's Lowww. I'm glad you held your ground!!

Go with DU next time!!!

Oh that was E-V-I-L but a good one. Shell it's always more fun to get even. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Shell- I just want you to know had nothing to do with it. I was just trying to post alot so I could be beat Jaime (:cheer2: go team)

Kathy- Your grandkids are cute. Is he doing better now?

Jeff- I'm no help to you because I don't have much DW experience. But if anyone wants to share about staying at Fort Wilderness campground I'm interested because I'm planning on doing that in the next couple years.

LADIES! Here's my PSA for the day.

October is breast cancer awareness month. :cloud9: Today I went in for my first mammogram. After having 2 kids in the last 4 years it was no big deal! AND they gave me free pink stuff because it's October.

Morale of the story- if you're gonna do it... go in October... and get your free pink stuff.

End of PSA.

I appreciate the support....the fellas have to stick together here....(I'm not sure if you wanna be allied with me though, I tend to get into a lot of crep)

Just to make Shell jealous...

Gary Anthony Williams, the actor who plays Clarence, is a good friend of mine from college. Just got to see him a few months ago here in Atlanta at a benefit for a friend of ours. He had a script signed by the entire cast up for auction (no, I didn't buy it). He also had a part in Malcolm in the Middle, as well as several movies. But, for some reason, we couldn't get him to talk about William Shatner's hair...something about a gag order in his contract...:rolleyes1

I'm jealous too! I love:love: that show!!

The first time I got one, I was half way done ... the tech positions me for the second one, and everything went black. I passed out, cracked my head on a counter, and woke up to the tech screaming and slapping me on the face. :rotfl2:

Hey Brantley -
I just noticed on the cruisemates list that you have two girls around my daughter's age. I'm assuming your youngest (will she be 8 or 9 on the cruise?) will be with my oldest in the same group in the Lab. Elizabeth had such a good time in the Lab on last year's cruise and part of it was that she "met" a friend via the DISboards first. There are a couple of girls in that age group cruising with us and I've been trying to connect them all via PMs on the board. If you would like our DDs to "chat" via PM, just have her send a PM to me and I'll have Elizabeth answer it.

Jeff

Good afternoon Nanas.............Well, let me just say that if you ever time on your hands and can't figure out what to do; take a little look see at your local Pawn Shop. I'm pretty sure Brit could find my next husband here:rotfl2:

:lmao: :lmao: There are some real hotties who go to the Pawn Shop across from our office!:scared:
No luck on my stuff, but I'll keep trying. Did find the house where the teens live that the police think could have done it. So, I've taken up stalking to go along with my lurking:rotfl2::rotfl:

Did you pick up some camo gear at the Shop???

popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::
