Jaime,
I mentioned before, but we are using Sunray transportation. They had good reviews and everything has been great so far. Hopefully will stay that way.:) We don't have to pay them until we see them and we get a free 30 minute grocery stop which DH will be using to buy beer.

Which brings me to the subject. Does anyone bring beer onboard and if so how do you go about doing that? I know I've read rolling cooler before. Do I need to purchase one?

Hi Melanie...

We plan on purchasing a softsided cooler...I'm going to try to get one that holds 36 cans...I wanted to bring some wine & water onboard...

Hi Jaime-
Just a little idea on water. Unless you have a problem with drinking the ships water, we bring refillable insulated water bottles, you know the kind you buy at target or somewhere with a carrying strap. Then just refill them with water from the same place where the pop is available. We did this on our RCCL cruise and then just brought them ashore for excursions or whatever.

We do have a softsided cooler, but I assume I probably should get one of those with wheels? I might pick up a bottle of wine as well.

Melanie - Never thought about refillable insulated water bottles...that's a great idea...my dh will thank you no heavy water to carry:lmao:

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well today.

For those of you who are driving down, do you usually leave your cars at the hotel or park at the port?

Also, we made reservationa at CI&S right after we booked our cruise. I checked the Radison on line and it looks like it is booked. Must be the Nannaheads!!! Is anyone else going to be at CI&S?

For those who will be there on Friday night, is there any particular place where everyone is eating? We were thinking about grills after reading some reviews, but if there is a place where everyone is going to that night, that would be great.

We were renting a car to and from the airport ... Never been to Orlando before but thank goodness we've got flights arriving Friday afternoon so I'm assuming we'll find our way around by Saturday morning.. tee-hee.. hope you're all havin' a fun day!

Sue-
We just got lost leaving the airport trying to find our hotel. We took a wrong turn leaving the airport and it took us a while to get right. Going from Orlando to the port is pretty much a straight shot so you should have no problem there. Just get good directions from the rental car guys about where you're exiting the airport...

I just didn't want to relive that experience especially with Jackson along. The kids will already have traveled quite a while at that point. PLUS with 2 kids in carseats there wasn't a huge price difference between renting a car and getting a towncar service.

We arrive friday late afternoon too... I think around 4! I have no idea where we'll be eating but I guess it won't be until after we're at the Radission since our driver will pick us up right away at the airport.

Hi, all!

Since I'm too hyper if I drink caffeine in the afternoon/evening:banana:, I even carry Caffeine free Diet Coke on board! Of course, there's a little Crown Royal that is tucked in, too!:rotfl2:

Our family will probably drive down and leave our car at the port, but we have been known to stay at the Raddison the day we get off the ship and we still get the free parking while we are at sea! HMMMM...DH, are you listening? :confused3 Ken and I have also left our car at the port as well on other trips.

Judy wants her gang to fly, but no arrangements yet. Our Wilmington crowd is going down on Weds (Judy's birthday) and staying in a house with a pool, etc. Of course, we'll have dinner at Narcoossee's and watch fireworks to celebrate!

I'll be at school late...open house 6-8 with PTA and chorus. Busy, but fun.:dance3:

TTFN!:teacher:

We actually find driving Orlando and Florida pretty easy..just for some reason always have trouble leaving and entering airport:goodvibes Have some change for the tolls.

Just noticed that we loose an hour between our connections and now I am concerned...so I now have to call the airline:scared1:...figure I'll be on hold all night.

I have encouraged Tonya and Wendy (fingers crossed) to book CI&S and move over to the Rad if rooms open up. But you bring up a good point about dinner. Guess we should start thinking about that. HEY BOB! If you're lurking (ha! "if"), what was the deal with Grills last year? Youze guyz couldn't get in there, right? Where did you end up going?

I just love when you post stuff like this because you always get SOMEONE yelling at you. Wendy when you talk about kim. Kim when you talk about Wendy. Cheri when you don't mention her. And me..just whenever I can. It's a great sport! :rotfl2:

Watch yourself, boy, or I'll sic someone special on you :rolleyes1

I would bring directions from Map Quest just in case. We're pretty familiar with the area, but when I did ask they guy "in the box" from Alamo for directions somewhere...........I'm not sure he even knew his name:lmao: Yeah, and DON'T FORGET the tolls....:sad2:

Friday night before the cruise I will be having Orange Chicken in China and then I'm going to hop over to Mexico for a margarita. After that I'm going to have DH roll me over to France for some pastries............:woohoo:

Since Friday is DS 10th Birthday:scared1: we're going to treat him to lunch at Beaches N Cream (one of our faves) and this time we're getting the "Kitchen Sink"........Shhhhh, it's surprise:cool1:

I guess we could all form an angry mob outside and demand to be seated. :rotfl: If course, I wouldn't want to get locked up the night before the cruise.

PS
Two post in one day...:thumbsup2

Woo-glad you made it safely..........get me a cowboy yet? Bill hasn't checked in with us in a while. I'll get my binoculars.............oh, there he is!!!! He's well, ummmm.............Bad Mutt, really bad Mutt.

We were thinking about bringing a cooler with us, but one or two bottles of wine really isn't going to do that much and Joe doesn't drink that much beer so he's going to brink a bottle of Crown and I'm bringing two bottles of Malibu..........so, the water on the ship is good?

OK, here's another idea. The Rad has a restaurant, and an outdoor Tiki Bar. What if I call them and see what they would do for all of us staying both there and in the CC area that night? That way, people coming in late wouldn't have to hurry to meet us, and it keeps all of us in from driving all around. Do you want me to do that?

Since we arrive the day after Thanksgiving...if we got an earlier flight and decided to do some shopping on Friday at the Outlet mall would we be crazy? How busy do you think it will be?
