Morning all-
Seems I have broken/jammed my right pinkie finger- trying too hard to hook it as I lifted the royal margarita glass I guess.... so off to Dr. later to have it xrayed, why not???? Already have two appts after 3 today, think I will add #3!
Started to think about clothes packing yesterday so ordered a SPANX( if it works for Oprah, maybe it will work for me!) but do not want any gut busters to inhibit the massive drinking / eating I am looking forward to so maybe I will just pack moomoo style dresses.
I did the parasailing at Castaway two years ago and it was really incredible. Kayla and her buddy did a tandem ride, too. Well worth it once, but that was probably the only time I will do it.
Waiting for my new door design from pats designs( have you seen her website!!!!) www.pats-designs.com I think. She is really great.
Well, back to work... will check back when I can actually see the picture of the day... my computer at work blocks it...
Judy

Everyone who has linked for early dinner reservations you should have a PM from me in your mailbox If not please contact me.
This is an important PM and you really need to read it.:goodvibes

Thanks,

Judy, I am so sorry to hear about your finger. hope it's better soon.

I checked out the website and she has lots of neat stuff there, thanks for sharing.

Kathy

Cheri-Sorry I missed the B-Day celebration. I'll make up for it on Deck 9:thumbsup2

You'll really have to twist my arm for that!:lmao:

Christine-I don't really have a favorite song, but I have been known to break out the Grease soundtrack while doing Karaoke:sad2:

Do you bust out with "Hopelessly Devoted to You" or "There Are Worse Things I Could Do" or "You're the One That I Want" or 'Beauty School Drop Out"????:rotfl2: Maybe it's "Look at me, I'm Sandra Dee!":lmao: :lmao:

Judy, better have another drink tonight to help numb the pain!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Melanie, welcome back! Your DH really didn't miss much from the Husker game. Besides it will be rehashed and analyzed all week long!!:sad2:

Bill -- glad you've made a cameo appearance. Hope all that training isn't wearing you out too much!

DD has Open House tonight. DH is gone for the rest of the week on one of his "reward" outings - a.k.a. 4 days of drinking, golfing & fishing in Green Lake, WI. Good thing I'm around to take care of everything at work & home!!!!:rolleyes1

At least it's sunny today, but the wind is about 20-30 mph. Tonight they're saying it will get in the 30's -- possibly even a new record low.:scared1: I haven't heard anyone use the "F" word yet. . .

JEFF - Bella is 5, so she is old enough to go on the excursions with us. Is Emily not old enough for the Oceaneers Club?? Also, did you mention before that you and Elizabeth were going to go parasailing or am I just making that up? I am looking so forward to the Screamin' Eagle Jet Boat! We are all daredevils, so it should be fun for us. Has anybody done this before?

Ah- I was thinking Bella was 4. Emily is old enough for the club - she is 3 1/2. But we wouldn't leave her on the ship when going on an excursion. So in STT we are just going to go to Magen's Bay altogether. Parasailing - just me, not Elizabeth. She is a bit skittish about heights but I'm trying to get her to go at some point! She and I did the Banana Boat last year. That was fun!

We are going to Magen's Bay too...not on a excursion though...my girls are 3 1/2 & 5 1/2...maybe we'll see you there.

I just had a pm from a dis'er who was on last weeks eastern cruise...she is going to scan in the navigators and email them to me...once I get them I'll let everyone know.

Judy...I hope your finger is feeling a little better.

Christine...really sorry about the heat & ants...your cupcakes were so nice!

Melanie...I hope you are starting to feel better.

Evening everyone! Didn't get over 68 degrees today and the wind bleeewww!

Spent most of the day researching and reserving for next summer's trip...decided to do the drive tour around the the US. Starting from Michigan over to Wyoming, circling Utah, Arizona, New Mexico then back. Staying at KOAs so that Alexis can come with us. We missed her too much this summer to leave her again that long.

I am tired so I'm going to sign off for tonight.

Morning all,
gee it was sure quiet around here lately. I guess I have to allow for people having to work to pay for their cruise, but you guys better make up for it this weekend!!!! I am getting itchy to use my whip:thumbsup2

For those who are working, this is over the hump day!! YEAH!!! The weekend will be here soon.

Anybody book the Pinel Island snorkeling excursion in the afternoon?? Just wondering who may be going with us??

catch everyone later,

Kathy

Kathy - Wish we could do the Pinel Island tour. It sounds perfect for us as I love to snorkel and DDs and DW prefer to splash about a bit and play in the sand. Unfortunately, we can't do it because for some reason there is an age 5 minimum on this one too. :confused3 Frustrating.

Morning-:goodvibes
I'm still a little under the weather so still a little sluggish. DH is having a crisis involving helicopter rental which I was trying to solve for him, but am not having much luck.

Anyway... need to get to work on MY job, as I have SO much to do but just wanted to say hi!

Dawn-
That sounds like a fun trip you're planning! We've been to many of those places (just went to Wyoming this summer as you probably know) if you have any questions PM me and I can try to answer them.

Have a great day everyone! Will post a photo of the day later!
Melanie

Hey everyone, been busy at work. We are moving offices so it's been crazy around here. Tomorrow we will be in a shiny new building...can't wait.

I wonder why? Because of the snorkeling? If a beach is available why can't the kids just play on the beach.

Yeah I dunno. Some of the limits don't make sense. For example, you can go to St. John and ride around in one of those pick up trucks with benches to do the island tour with a 3 year old...but you can't go to Trunk Bay and hang out on the beach while Dad is snorkeling

Jeff,
I know the age limits are confusing sometimes.
I wonder if there is a private company that offers a snorkeling excursion that would allow her to come. Those where you dive off the boat wouldnt but where you go to a beach area and just walk in it doesnt make sense.

Denise posted 2 photos of the beach area on Pinel Island and it looks very nice. I know the snorkeling area is about 5 minutes walk to one side of the beach area according to my DD who has done this excursion a few years ago.

One possibilty for you might be at St.Thomas take a cab to Coral World beach where the underwater observatory is. I think coral world is the name.
There is a very old marine park and shops there with the observatory for Mina and the kids and 5 minute walk down a path is the beach. Once there you can rent snorkel gear, pay for a semi submarine ride, play off water toys or just swim in the ocean. They have different admission prices according to what you want to do.
we almost did this. I googled Coral world and got lots of information abou tit. i remember seeing a sign at the port last time that said taxi to coral world $11 per person one way. I see no reason for an age limit for the beach or marine park so you should all be able to do what you want there. You may want to check it out. I think it is about 30 minutes from the ship, so it would be easy to do on your own without worrying about missing the ship.

Hi everyone...

It is a yucky day here today...getting the leftovers of tropical storm Gabriel.
