Just a dark suit for me, Kim....not really a tux kinda fella. As far as the excursions go, we can coordinate that as it gets closer--I'll do my research and you do yours. See what we come up with.

pluto:
Please include us in your planning for St. Maarten. We want to gooo tooo!

Last time we were in St. Maarten, we shopped a little, then grabbed a van/cab. We asked the driver where she would recommend and since clothing optional beaches were not a problem for us, she took us to the KonTiki area of Orient Beach. The food was fabulous, our table was literally in the dsand with a big canvas cover and then we moved to the beach. CHairs were $5.00 and I bartered for 2 more... the kids put down theri towels. The water was so beautiful. Yes, there were several people topless and one guy who seemed to want to strut is stuff- to be honest, they all would have looked better with clothing!!! None of our kids were shocked, rather giggles instead!
The cab came back at the designated time- I think we left at 4-
A great day!!!!! You can find KonTiki on the web, I used dogpile to search....
Off to do laundry:laundy:

Oh, and does anyone know if the restaurants serve lunch?

I know at least one per day does. Shorter hours when in Port. Does anyone know if kids can go into the restaurants at breakfast and lunch on their own and eat?

Jacob thinks this would be very cool. He's intrigued by the idea that he can check himself in and out of the OL and then go into the restaurant and have lunch ALL ON HIS OWN. Do I have to crush his dream?:scared:

KAthy, are those the buses we'll be taking? :goodvibes
Oh, and does anyone know if the restaurants serve lunch? I know they serve breakfast and supper (duh!), but what about lunch? :confused3
Hopefully later today I'll start posting pictures.

- Josh

Josh,
if you bought transfers from DCL to go from the airport you would ride this bus. They look so much nicer than the old ones.
Kathy

Morning all, Wow you guys were busy posting this weekend. I tried a couple of time but just didn't get a chance. Sorry...I'll try to be better. I am really excited I get to book Palo and my excursion this Friday at midnight:dance3: I can't wait.

Here's my picture of the day:

The very first time I saw the Wonder:love:

On the night we went to Palo, the kids went to dinner ALONE. They were treated like royalty by the servers since they knew them by that time- the kids loved being on their own!!!!

Christine,
love the picture!!
Hey where's the pictures of the new restaurant at??
We are waiting:rolleyes1

Hey remember the photo I posted of Pixie a couple months ago when she was so tiny accept for her feet.

Take a look now, she is around 50 pounds and as tall as Minnie and she is only 5 months old.

Last night both dogs jumped in Gregs lap while he was trying to relax, he had about 120 pounds of dog on him:rotfl2:

I think you all know me better than that... I used to be 17. One of my favorite quotes to my 16 year old nephews is "if I can't be a good example to you allow me to be a horrible reminder".

time to go tuck the wife and dog into bed.

As Josh said JK....:woohoo: ...it would take a team of horses to lead my baby down the wrong path!! Is this a mother in denial

Nah....my mommy knows I'm perfect too.
Pic of the day....not sure if I posted this or not. I have it as my current wallpaper....kinda shows the lunatic I can be---you see anyone else on deck awake when I was there?

Alright Mutt, I did my research..........Did you do yours?

After 1 1/2 hrs of reading through posts on various websites, here are a few things I came up with:

1. EVERYONE has an opinion.
2. For every positive, there is a negative.
3. People REALLY like the Painkillers on the Doubloon...........:thumbsup2

Doubloon: I really didn't read anything negative about this one. I know most of you have done this and I can understand wanting to change things up. The later departure time seems to be the only thing anyone didn't like.

Capt. Nautica: If we could team up on this, I think it would be really fun. There were only a few negatives on this and most had to do with the fact that their itinerary changes. I think this is a positive though. It means that they pay attention to the currents and the weather, and take you where you are most likely to see more. My DS and I might as well have fins, so the extra hour of snorkeling is appealing to me. Plus, you get to spend a little time on one of the beaches, usually Honeymoon Beach. Not sure DH wants to snorkel for 2.5 hours, but then I didn't ask...........

St. John/Trunk Bay: Not happening for me. This by far had the most negative comments and I don't want to risk it. Most everyone said the beach was gorgeous but wish they'd had been able to get there on their own. Since the time is so limited the beach experience was short and almost everyone said the snorkeling itself was jus okay. I'm cruising DCL, I expect more than okay

Let me know what your thoughts are (as if I really had to ask for them:rotfl2: )

St. Maarten: definitely "winging it"

I loved Kon Tiki everyone needs to go there!!! Cant wait for this cruise--

3 months 2 weeks 4 days!!!!

(marriedatdsny1996)You've got a cute dog. We have our neighboors take care of our two STUPID dog and one EVIL cat!! Can't wait for the cruise!!!

What am I going to do with this little guy while I'm cruising?
100_0374.jpg

Sooo cute...what kind of doggie is he? Looks like he has some pom in him. We leave our two dogs with the Vet. I know they hate it :sad1: but we really don't have a choice, we have no one here to watch them. At least they have each other.

I will be booking Capt Nautica. I like that you take a speed boat and go to different places and get there before most of the other tours.

Hey, Think Tink is my DD, Sarah. princess: I see that she joined today while her DM was working. :teacher:

Kon Tiki restaurant at Orient Beach is great...order the "chili" fries...they don't have chili, but they are seasoned with Caribbean jerk seasoning and parmesan cheese...YUM! Just hoop a cap/van and don't pay for the excursion. Cheap and fun. The nudity is a scream, no young hard bodies, just older folks with a European vibe. :rotfl2:

Kathy, it was 80 here, too, at 5 AM...so steamy... :smooth:

Mutt, my DH, Ken will be on deck early, too. pirate: He likes to photograph the sunrise while Judy and I have coffee on the verandah.:coffee:

Time to cook dinner or act like it anyway!:rolleyes1
