Jeff...maybe you can look into the Liberty of the Seas, the one expected out in 08 or the new "supercruiser" Genisis class (220,000 gwt--thats a lil scary). They're all supposed to be fantastic ships. The LIberty and its sister are the same class as the Freedom. Get the newest and bestest!

have a great mornin gang....

Oh the plans to abandon the mouse are only random thoughts at this point. Only if we can find another fun itinerary (ie. Southern Caribbean or Hawaii in the summmer) that generally doesn't exist! :rotfl:

CHERI: I want my kudos, too! I rode 17 miles today and 6 yesterday (they closed part of my one bike path so I couldn't go longer. I mean, why in the world would they repave a path in the middle of summer when people are using it??? Ding-dongs!). How was girls' weekend? Did you and Jess play dress up and have tea parties, or did you teach her how to make a rockin' mojito? :lmao:

:yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay:

GOOD JOB!!!! Do you still do the rowing machine??? Last year you were preparing to row us away from any possible danger. Just making sure it's the same for this year!:rotfl2:

Girls' weekend was good -- Saturday was spent at my sister's house so Jess got to play with all her cousins. I just ate and drank Mai Tais!!

Yesterday we had a picnic lunch in our front yard and last night we made homemade pizza. No mojito lessons --- yet!

Mornin'!!!!          (per Kathy's request!)

Shaping up to be another hot sunny day today. Perhaps I'll actually make it outside for a while. . .:confused3

Have a good one!

Good Morning all...very HOT & Humid here in PA today.....but it did rain all day yesterday which helped DH's lawn care business...he had to hold up from cutting some yards since they are brown  .

Mom's b-day was yesterday-74-she still teaters on the need for an assisted living facility-she fell twice yesterday-now she is a big bruise...very sore. Her husband isn't ready for them to leave their house yet-but I think they are getting very close to needing a little extra help.

Lucy :dogdance: is stuck under the couch right now...:rotfl2: We get her out and she goes right back under there:sad2: dumb doggie.:rotfl:

Well, need to get :laundy: done....I have been off from work for 9 days..that included house work....what a mess my house is:scared1:

Later....

Hey all, sorry I missed posting this weekend, I was super busy with the new place. It seems like there is always something that needs fixing or buying. Sorry, didn't take any pictures either...this week I promise:rolleyes1.

Weather is hot and humid, we had a great lighting storm on Friday night with 60 mile an hour winds but not one drop of rain. We have some wicked lighting here. I love it but I do watch it from a safe distance:scared1:

Since we are not able to spend a lot of time at the parks in November we are thinking of going to Disney World in March. It's Spring Break so I know it will be busy but my friends daughter will be performing there during this time. How bad it is really? We will be there 2 weeks before Easter.

Well, not much else going on today. I started my really strict diet today since if you've noticed my weight loss ticker hasn't moved in a few weeks:sad1: So I should be really cranky for the next few days.

I made my last payment on the cruise this morning and now I am totally paid!!! Next is saving for all the other goodies- we will take an excursion in St. Thomas over to St. Johns, not sure which one yet, but otherwise, money is best spent on the boat!

Judy

Yeh, Judy. It is a great feeling! I also paid our cruise off today! Now we're officially going!

It is HOT, HOT, HOT here in Michigan. 90s all week, with a predicted 96 on Wednesday...and this is the weekend we chose for the yard sale! :scared1:

Did you guys notice Disney's on the Travel Channel again this week?

Going to try and water after the sun removes itself from our yard. Everyone have a great evening! Dawn:banana:

OMG, I am so upset. I just called to confirm my tickets with Delta because I never got a confirmation. Well.....THEY CANCELLED MY NON-STOP FLIGHT and never told me. They just reassigned me to another flight which has a 3 hour layover in Atlanta and doesn't get me into Orlando until 10am. I am so mad. The one good thing about Delta( ) is when they mess up your flights they are willing to work with you. The were actually going to let me cancel my flight and get my money back but than I would need to find new flights and there aren't any better flights on the other airlines. So now I leave on Nov 21st (the busiest travel day of the year) at 7pm (I am sure the busiest time to leave) and fly to LAX than I have 2 hours before my non-stop flight to MCO but at least I get in a 6am still:confused:. Hey, does anyone know what happens when the airlines lose your luggage and they don't find it before you get on the ship? Will they send it to St Marteen:eek: ?

Hey Hey All! What's going on? The week is half over... Wait... It's not? Aww man! :headache:
I've got to get my Senior pictures done tommorrow, boy what a problem I had getting off work. :headache: :rolleyes1

Christine,
it is CRAZY at Disney during spring break!! We avoid it at all costs then:scared1:
You can do a descent amount of stuff if you get there when the park opens, head for a fast pass and then go on the next businest ride. When your fast pass make it to the time you can go for it, that will also be the time you can get a different fast pass. Since you have a one hour time period to use the first pass you have time to go and get a second one before using the first one which will help you to do more in less time. it will tell you on the pass when you can get another one. Do it before using the first one and you wont have so much time to wait between rides.

You will need to plan out which rides in each park are a must do for you and which ones have fast passes and go for them first . Then do what ever you can after that.

When staying on property they will have one park each day that will open one hour early that guests staying on property can do and the rest of the people have to wait until that hour is up. Sounds like a great perk!! WRONG!!!
There are thousands of people staying on property then and they will be heading for that early hour park. AVOID that park on that day or you'll be twice as crowded!!! Do a different park.
one last tip: NEVER do magic Kingdom on a saturday!! It is the busiest day of the week for it. Locals love to go on saturday.

If it will help you to plan I can get you a set of park maps next time we go and mail them to you. just let me know, it may be a few weeks since it is way too hot to go right now.

Kathy

Dawn and Judy,
i am jealous you already have your cruise paid off!!! good work:thumbsup2
Now you can decide on excursions and book them.

made spaghetti tonight. The sauce cooked all day so the house smells so good!!

see ya later,

I knew it would be crazy busy. Maybe we won't go, I would like to wait for late April. Thanks for the offer of the maps but we have been there tons of times so I pretty much know the layout of the parks like the back of my hand:) Plus I get a new Passporter ever year...even if we don't go to Disneyworld:confused3 Just like to know what's going on in case there needs to be an emergency trip to the World

We just came home from spending the day at Lake Erie's Put-in-Bay Island. We were supposed to go Thursday, the day of Jason's birthday, but postponed until today because of a 70% chance of thunderstorms that day. Turned out to be a very wise plan...perfect weather, not too crowded, and a great way to spend a Monday!

My Disney Visa statement arrived today so I was thinking of going ahead and paying off the cruise, too. I'll have another month before it's actually due and I'll be able to start booking. Now I need to figure out the ground transportation to and from the port. Anyone find any great car rental discounts for 11/23 to 11/24?

Mathews checking in. 25th anniversary cruise. 1st real vacation without our kids. We wont know how to act.

Howdy Matthews :goodvibes
ACT CRAZY!!!!!
We were married for about 22 years before our first time without the kids. it was only 4 days but it was so great!!! We discovered we were actually people, with personalities of our own, not just mom and dad.:thumbsup2

If I would of known how great it was, we would of done it years earlier!! But finding someone DUMB enough to watch 4 kids was just too hard to do.

Morning all,
Today will be like a sauna here!! 90 degrees, rainy, and very humid:sad2:
Not my favorite weather. But it is payday so that is a good thing for today.

Off to do the :laundy: and maybe bake some cookies before it gets too hot, may have to save the cookie baking for tomarrow. It is already 75 degrees at 7 a.m.
I also need to print off some photos from our last crusie to send to my mom to see. That will take a little while to do as we have a new printer and I am NOT familiar with it yet.

Have a great day everyone, I will check back soon,

Kathy:upsidedow

Good Morning All!
My dad finished making videos 1-5 from last year, still 3 or so to go! :lmao:
NOthing new over here, pretty much a bore.

- Josh

morning Josh,

Tell your mom that you are bored and I'm sure she will find plenty of things for you to do.
sweep, mop, vacuum, wash dishes, wash and dry clothes and iron them, grocery shop, feed the dog, bathe the dog, mow the lawn, weed eat the lawn, pull weeds from flower beds.

See there is NO reason for a strong healthy young man like you to be bored on a lovely summer day.;)
