1. Have we decided if we're going to try to have a cruise meet on the first day? I vote for something around 2:45-3:00ish on Saturday. That seemed to work really well last year. For those of you like my DH, who are squeamish about making definite plans for your vacation (especially when you're trying to settle in on the first day), this time fit in nicely because people had already had a chance to have lunch and explore the ship a bit. This is also a "closed-ended" meeting because the safety drill comes up at 4:00.
I'm in for that :thumbsup2 . It worked out perfectly for everyone. You know how there were some people that we practically never saw again after that meet because we were all doing our own thing.

2. If we're going to do a cruise meet, are we going to incorporate a gift exchange? I'm 50-50 on this. It worked out quite well last year, but it was an added thing to buy & pack for the trip.
I thought the gift exchange was really fun and added an extra layer of interaction. So I'm again voting for it.

3. I "assume" we'll try to link dinner reservations as the date draws nearer?? For us, that's what made the cruise last year!!! Yes, Shell, you can say, "I told you so," as many times as you want!!!!:rotfl2: As always, you're right!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: (You can direct Bob to this post!!:lmao: )
BOB???? See that???

ABSOLUTELY! Anyone that has late dining and wants to link with other Banana Heads, please e-mail or PM me. I will give you the information to get the job done! If you're skittish about eating with us ... TRUST ME! We had the BEST time at dinner with our new Banana Head friends!

Early diners ... one of you might like to volunteer to be the point person for your time, too, for any of you that want to eat together.

4. We are staying at the Hyatt (in MCO) on Friday night and taking the DCL bus out to the port on Saturday. There will be a HUGE party at the Hyatt on Friday.party: :rotfl2:
A party? Without the Woo? :sad1: Hey folks, don't be fooled! The REAL party will be in Cocoa at the Radisson, where all the COOL people are staying! :cool2:

Here Josh ... have some more bananas ...

Perhaps I was referring to us meeting at the airport. . .;) . But now that you've insulted the "coolness" of Jeff & Mina and Bill & me. . .:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Here, have some          --- loved & cherished by all nana heads!!

Ok it's finally time for me to torture you -- I mean allow you to enjoy - some of our Maui photos. I'll 'splain where necessary.

Our first photo on the island...after the girls received their flower leis at the airport.

More pics Jeff!!!!! Looks like the girls had a wonderful time...so far there's no pics without huge smiles on both of them. And I bow to your ultimate coolness...shame that its wasted at the Hyatt when the actual cool will be at the cape...(note my updated signature, please).

Btw,....I'm not sure if Woo mentioned it or not but we have the legit recipe for Java Juice from CC. Shell has been a pretty happy camper since she acquired it and I made the things. Anyone who was a fan, speak up and I'll post it.

down to the gym for me....I have to lose 12 lbs by the end of august...any tips from the crowd---(I'm counting on ya, Cheri) would be greatly appreciated. Sawing off one of my legs is NOT an option, I have to do it the hard way.

Btw, Jeff...did you see the article a few days ago about the guy from Toledo that got bit by a shark at Oahu's Bellows Beach? It happened Thursday, I believe. They said it was an 8 ft Tiger and that it was rare for that area.

:rotfl: :rotfl: for your signature Mutt!

Actually heard a much scarier shark story while on a catamaran cruise - the "captain" a surfer dude named Brian - told tale of an actual great white (almost NEVER seen in these waters) off the coast of Lanai - one of Maui's sister islands. A snorkeling charter he was on a week or so ago had a fishing line out as they always do and something tugged on it (an ahi tuna they are thinking) and then something took on the ahi - the shark - to the tune of the line unspooling so fast it was actually smoking and you couldn't touch it. After about 45 minutes of struggling and multiple chances to identify what they were dealing with - they cut the line.... Not sure how true it was but it sounded convincing to me. More pix coming up now.

Ok..here are some more pics. You have mutt to blame for me continuing to post em!

This grouping is from Haleakala the dormant volcano at 10,000 feet above sea level. We went up late morning (we went up for sunrise on our honeymoon) and it was 92 degrees when we started our ascent..56 degrees at the summit. It was awesome to get up there in the daylight and have some time to explore around the crater. Those white fluffy things you see in the pix are clouds as we are above them at this point.

Jeff, those are awesome pics! Can't wait to hear the stories in person!

Also, you asked about who else is coming in September. I know that Holly is still planning on coming. Dawn, what about you? And I'll check with Lorna & John to see if they are planning on it.

We'll call you ... Cool Lite :rotfl2:

Hi everyone,

Been busy working-haven't had a chance to post-although I see my DH & DS have been showing off their new bananas :rotfl:

I will be flying to Orlando tomorrow with friends from work. We are going to Wet N Wild and Universal Studios-have never been to either one--I almost feel like I am cheating on Mickey :rolleyes1

Bill: I think the shirt looks great--only wish we would have gotten one last year and been a little more social--well, live and learn:banana:

Need to get packing...not taking much...I hear it is HOT & HUMID--oh, my hair :scared1:

Yup! Since I'm about 15 minutes down the road, I'm planning on being there at some point. Depends on the details though. Jeff mentioned a Friday night gathering, but I have classes from 1-9 that day, so unless it's a late night gathering, I suppose I'll be joining you all Saturday (before or after the game, whatever the plans turn out to be). I still want to meet some of the famous Nanas, even though I won't be cruising with you this year.

Boy I should take off for the day more often.
There was a ton of posting done today:thumbsup2

Jeff, AWESOME photos, hope you have more to share with us.:goodvibes

Mutt, Josh, WOW so many bananas, Cheri you got a lot posted too, That is great. you too Shell.

loved the new ones, I am especially fond of the banana going down the toilet which Shell posted.

I asked for more banana posts and I guess everyone came through, GREAT JOB everyone!! Now I need to do some addition:eek:

The meet at the same time as last year sounds great to me and the gift exchange is ok, will it be the same $10 limit and a regional gift from your state??? If so count me in. Maybe this time I will get whats her names, name? You know the lady married to the 2nd Bill:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
That was my revenge Cheri!!

Does anyone know if we can call ahead and book a photographer to come to the promenade lounge to take a group photo of us with our shirts on?? Maybe at 3:30 so we have some time to chat first.

We had a good day at MK today. It really wasnt too crowded until the time we left. I was disappointed the Haunted Mansion was closed this time, I love that ride. Our 16 year old grandaughter wanted to do the Peter Pan ride, so we all went on the kiddie ride together. I have done it many times before
But I thought it was funny a 16 year old wanted to do a kiddie ride.

It was HOT but not unbearable like it has been all last week.

I ordered Pizza to be delivered because I am NOT cooking tonight, I'm pooped!!
