Hey, dangit! I grew up on Fast Times at Ridgemont High and I turned out awesome! Totally awesome! ...:rotfl2: And my edu-ma-cation didn't suffer at all:
  • This is U.S. History, I see the globe right there.
  • What Jefferson was saying was, Hey! You know, we left this England place 'cause it was bogus; so if we don't get some cool rules ourselves - pronto - we'll just be bogus too! Get it?

And most importantly ... All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine. :rotfl2:

(oh, to be a teen again ...)

I'm there with ya sister!

*What are you guys planning on doing the first night after dinner and shows? I'll need this info. in case I want to stalk you:rolleyes1

We can't commit to anything in the evenings, EXCEPT I have scheduled us Flounders time for I think it's Sunday night and Thursday night. So we may be out and about for a couple hours after 9 p.m. on those nights.:thumbsup2

And I cant remember....this IS your first time on a cruise?
Yes, it's my first time...............be gentle.

Okay, HSM2: I like these movies just fine. I don't live in a squeaky clean house and Jacob wasn't raised in a bubble. He doens't have any siblings , he's very mature for his age and he lives mostly in an adult world. Same way I was raised and you often find yourself parenting they way you were parented . I have kids come over for play dates that make me feel like Mother of the Year and I've had others come that I wanted to get home before I ruined them:rotfl: Different strokes for different folks. But all that to say this, I think Zach's friends could have been a little more tolerant of the fact that he was working on getting a full ride scholarship to play basketball. Helloooooo..........Now go ahead and flame me. I can take it.

Kathy: Thanks for the great info. I really want to see the CMs waving to us. So, the evenings are played mostly by ear. I'm big on planning. Mostly becasue I want to make sure that DH and I don't plan adult time if there's a family thing Jacob wants to do. We've already gotten out our different color hi-lighters and so far no worries. There is one event, I think it's the Toad Race, that's going on at the same time as the wine tasting. DH says, "Oh, I'll take you son while mommy goes and drinks wine":sad2: (as if I'd leave my child) then his tune changed when he found out they had the NFL ticket:lmao:

Bill-Which question were you answering? The one about after dinner?:confused3

Shell-Getting ready to leave work where I can speak more freely. I'll call you then.:thumbsup2

Um... where's that picture? Is that on the Magic or Wonder? And where? I've never seen it before...

- Josh

Sorry Josh, I don't really remember where I found the picture. I know it was on the Wonder (only ship I have been on:goodvibes) and that it was in a staircase other than that I can't help ya:confused3

I saw it on the Wonder. I bet Kathy knows right where it is.

Here are my questions for Day 1: Saturday

*I know I've asked before, but what time would you say we will be picked up from our WDW Resort and brought to the Terminal?
Sorry I had a car so I could be at the terminal nice and early of course I was as sick as a dog and my husband got lost on the way so didn't get there as early as I had hoped.
*What is the best area to view the Sailaway Party? We would like to view from a distance. We're not the "throw yourself right in with the crowd" kind of people. (Assume this is will be outside because of fabulously clear skies)
Like Kathy said, watching it from deck 10 is great. Make sure you bring bubbles and your Mickey hand to wave back at everyone

*What is the best time to try and get portrait pictures done in the evening?
We found it great to get your picture taken later at night, after the last dinner rotation, there was usually no wait at all. Right before dinner was always the busiest time

*Magic Quest: For Adults-Anyone done this?
I have not done this on Disney but I did it on RCCL and it is so much fun. I am really excited Disney is doing it. It's not to be missed but it is very adult so make sure your DS is in his club. You need to form a team and they will ask you run stuff up to the host like men wearing lipstick or men wearing a woman's bra:eek: If we get enough people it will be crazy

*What are you guys planning on doing the first night after dinner and shows?
We were so tired the last time we went back to the room after dinner (late seating). If there is something fun going on that night we might stick a little later

I would just be careful, because those Navigators are a year old. It could be changed, especially since the Magic has been off of the Carribbean all summer. Maybe they'll come back and change a few things.

Thanks for the great answers coming in guys. I know after dinner if we have big groups, it'll be lots of fun.

What do ya' mean the navigators might change? I don't do well with change.:scared1:

I was just at the reservations.....I'm IN!!!! Go gettem, kids---its open for business!!!!!!!!!!

Palos---Sunday 10:30-12:30am brunch

Cpt. Nautica--- St. Thomas/St. Johns.... early book---7:30am

G'night everyone and good luck... Its not a big deal really...I'm NOT excited....
awww...crep....I'm so excited I could plotz!!!! woohoo:banana:

pluto:

Ok -- so it's Tuesday and I'm finally posting! I set my alarm to wake up @ 1:45 a.m. Sunday Central time -- walk downstairs to turn on my little laptop and. . .NOTHING!!!!! I moved it to another outlet. . .NOTHING (battery would've kicked in anyway)!!!! :scared1:

So, I calmly booted up my work computer and got in. We reserved Palo Brunch at 11:00 Sunday and Palo dinner Thursday night @ 7:00.:woohoo:

I told DH what happened and so the next day he went out and bought me an early birthday present. . .my 2008 deposit is now sitting on my desk. . .:rotfl: :rotfl: I think Shell may have offered to set up a collection for my laptop the last time it acted up. . .popcorn::

Cheri-
You know what Saturday is?

Yep... the first Husker football game.

Let us all pause for a moment of silence.

I'm kind of hoping they make some changes, especially in the kids' programming since DD was in the same 5-7 YO group last year. I don't like that they offer the cookie making on the same night as formal night (during late seating).

OMG! I was just going to mention it to you!!!!!

My sister & her husband (who is originally from NE) have the college Game Plan so we'll be watching every televised game!!!:cool1: :cool1:

Better plan my outfit -- will it be red, or red?????:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yep, they change all the time. The home page of this web site has more recent ones. Now that the Magic will be sailing the Eastern again, I am sure we will get newer ones before we leave. However, I'm still looking at the ones from last year and highlighting all the things I want to do

:lmao:
No. I'd definitely go red.

DH wanted to go and take Alex. He thought maybe he could get some tickets since it's not a big game. But I think we've rethought that one...

I looked at the most recent Eastern one (on this site) to try and plan my Flounders reservations. I'm hoping we get newer ones up there too!

I've never brought a highlighter on a cruise before, but now that we have Alex in the kid's clubs I'm going to. Because I don't want him to miss out on some of the fun things that I know he'll enjoy!!

So when, on Mutt's scans, is the tree lighting ceremony? I think I want to go to that. And the first night is kind of crazy so it would be easy to miss it.

It's at 7:45. I loved the ceremony I almost skipped it thinking it would be every night but it's only on the first night. We watched it from the 4th floor balcony (not us in the picture):

If you have kids you will probably want to watch it from the lobby, this way they can start their extensive Mickey confetti collection:banana:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'm still finding little Mickeys in our luggage and in DD's desk!!

Stop it! You guys are getting me too excited and we still have too long to wait!

I guess we shouldn't bring up the Mickey bars or the chocolate dipped Mickey rice krispy treats. I know someone who gets all crazy to cruise with the mouse over those things.
