Christine: We're staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort Thursday night. I know we're going to try and have a late lunch/early dinner at Beaches N Cream but my DH and I would be up for meeting later if you guys are going to be out and about having dinner.

So, my DH just got a new job. He was a Supervisor at the Ford Plant for 13yrs and they just closed FOREVER................So, we were blessed by a pretty fast turn around and he now works for Stihl. So, instead of trucks he supervises tools. Anyhoo..........he now has to wear dress shirts and ties and such and I've been okay with all the dough we've spent lately, and quite frankly he looks handsome all dressed up, BUT when he came home the other day with his PDA/Treo to the tune of $300 AFTER REBATE , let's just say I was less than impressed............Who needs that anyway?

Well, we're driving home tonight and I said, I wonder how many posts I'll have to catch up on tonight. Now, usually this is the point at which he just rolls his eyes but not this time. He grins from ear to ear and says, "Well, why don't you look at them now? On my PDA!!!!!!" I'm not completely ancient when it comes to technology but this I must say was pretty cool. So now, whenever I need my DIS fix, I can just use the PDA. All for only $300...........there's always a silver lining.

We are planning on spending Thursday at my Uncle's house in Tampa but we might be back early (of course this is if my flights on time and they don't lose my luggage) We will not have tickets to get into any of the parks on Thursday but if everyone is going to meet outside the parks let us know and we will try to make it.

Gosh our husbands are kind of the same, he can't wait to get his blackberry We checked our plan and he can get one in Sept for $150. What he need it for I have no idea, it's just another toy to add to the PS3 and the Wii.

Just woke up from a very scary dream!!! We got on the Magic, got to our room, and when I opened my suitcase....there were no clothes...just my folder of bills (and I don't mean the paper money kind) Now this may not scare most of you but I am the type that has lists upon lists and check them twice!! Also didn't have the credit card to charge anything on....how the heck we got on the ship without the credit card is beyond me.

Oh gosh I know all about those dreams. I always dream that I forgot to pack for vacation and now I only have an hour to make the flight and have to try to pack everything and make it to the airport on time . I never finish the dream because I wake up in a cold sweat. I think I need to start packing now.

Shell and Bill you guys are so creative. I don't even have paint on the walls in my house never mind decorating the outside fence

Well, the Nanas now have official drinks...they look great! TEN THOUSAND BANANAS TO YOU!!!

Now, we need an offical dance...this can be demonstrated only on the ship and should have an appropriate name like "The Naked Nana" or "Walk the Plank." With Kim's super, fantastic, unbelievable bartending ability and Woo and Bill's painting, I know that this group will shine on the dance floor, Deck 9or wherever we feel like bustin' a move.

I'm all about dancing Can't wait. We could always just do the electric slide

Josh I still have my door sign Dont know what happened to yours?? See how nice Billis, he will make you another one, but I'm not sure how much you should trust a guy who changes his signature everyday.


I have been thinking about door signs but havnt a clue what I will make this year yet. Is anyone else making door signs this trip? I love to decorate the door.

I' going to do the door decoration, but I'm sure what is the best way. Did you use the Magnetic paper you can put in the printer?

Yes I use the magnetic paper and it will go through a printer.

I never use the computer though, I just get disney and tropical stickers and make up my own design. I am not very creative, but I do have fun.

Micheals and JoAnne's have awesome stickers for Disney and cruises.

Who's everyone using for transportation to/from the airport? I'm trying to book our stuff and was online last night trying to decide what to do.

I wanted to use a taxi...anyone know how much this would cost?? I think I looked at the info Kathy posted and it is around $80.00...does this seem right??

Okie- My DH is a professional photographer. Don't worry this is normal to spend that much. Some people around here spend much much more. ($1200) Now if they'd only start spending that much with US!!! We could afford lots more cruises!

We plan to have a door sign this year again.... loved the one that magically appeared on our door last year but then a few days before we were home...it magically disappeared ....rotten kids on our floor

Hey All
We are back at home now. First I have a couple of cruise questions (shocking, eh?)

1. When is the 90 day date for past cruisers to book excursions etc?
2. Can you pre-book wine tastings, martini tastings and the like or are those once you get on the ship.
3. If you CAN pre-book em...anyone have a plan for when they are booking? Love to have cocktails with fellow bananaheads.

We can't find our passporter OR our pics that we bought at shutters from last year's cruise. They were in a bag...we had a holiday party...we put them "away" (read hid them) and now they are lost..hopefully not forever. Losing the pics is bad enough but I NEED that passporter right now to figure out what we're booking!

Wanted to also tell you about our 2 magical experiences at WDW this week. First, Elizabeth and I were heading toward Space Mountain around 9:30 one morning...and we were approached by a CM who asked how many in our party..then told us we were getting a "magical experience." He took us straight to the front of the line, let us inside the Space Mountain Control Tower where we got a lesson in how the ride works and what all the video screens are for and what all the buttons are for (in addition to some Space Mt. trivia) then right up to the front 2 seats in the next car going out. Gave us a certificate and sent us on our way. It was very cool! Kind of surreal actually but it really set us up for a great day.

Then this morning we were having breakfast at our resort at the Yacht Club Galley and Chef Robbie approached the two girls and asked them if they would be so kind to paint and decorate a GIANT Mickey waffle. gave them "Chef of the Day" pins, magical moment certificates, took pictures with them and then their creation was on display at the entrance to the galley (where they put the candy dish) for the rest of the morning. Also very cool, the girls had a blast and we all felt special. Now THIS is what Disney is all about to me - we created 2 memories that these girls will never forget.

I just saw the ISS and the shuttle fly over my house...they were about 200 miles apart but they looked about three inches apart!! That was WAY COOL!

Yea we decorate our doors!! We get stickers or print on a piece of magnet paper. We have the ones from the last cruise on our refrigerator!!

Well i have to go to sleep so i can get up and go to a camp for gymnastics from 10-3. Im going to learn how to do a back-hand-spring!! Wish me luck Good night all!!

We love our door magnets, last year ours was "taken" and then was returned by a CM who saw it in passing. Lots of fun creating it- I get a sheet of magnetic vinyl from Michaels and got stickers and pictures from the computer, etc.
We will be up and ready to book at midnight(right?) when the magic clock strikes 12. Palo, spa and Capt. Nautica seem to be on our assignment sheet... Post all of your plans as you make those final decisions this week!
Back to school for day two of unpacking... Ah the glamourous life of a teacher!

Door magnets??? YOU BET! We have fun every year getting the coolest scrapbooking decals and stickers that we add to construction paper or scrapbookiing paper. Just add peel and stick magnets to the back and there you go.

Judy and I will have three phones each ready at midnight so we can get through to book. Can we book online at midnight...anyone know????

Jeff...glad you guys had a great time. I'm hoping the rest of us will have that kind of luck in regards to "magic moments".
As far as the whens and whats.... pretty sure that this sunday is our D-day.
Saturday evening at midnight or thereabouts sound right to everyone? As for the wine, tequila, martinis stuff,....I think those are a "book on board" thing. I'm gonna do the tequila one...not sure what Woo has planned.

Kathy...hope it all goes well with Minnie...keep my paws crossed for you.
As far as last years nanahead mags....if anyone lost or misplaced his or hers, I'd be happy to make a new one and bring it with me. Lest we forget....

I was looking online last night and found a good rate on a one-way rental from Budget. There are five of us so we need a mini van and I was able to get a rate of $64. Now we need to decide if we want to rent or have a car service pick us up...convenience vs. cost savings.


I am just back online after having my computer "in the shop" for some virus cleanup. Now I have lots of reading to do to catch up on all the posts!

Ok....here's the recipe I was supposed to post yesterday.

2 oz. Malibu Banana Rum
1 oz. vanilla vodka (we used Stoli)
splash of amaretto
splash of grenadine for color
Woo just had it chilled but I bet it could be an awesome frozen drink as well.
