11-23-2008 DCL per-Thanksgiving 3 night Wonder cruise!!

Lots of wet snow today. Oh well, I am starting to get used to it.

I am still dreaming of a spring break in Florida.

Did you see that cat 12 is sold out for our crusie? Not that I check everyday or anything.

Are you going to Fl for SBreak? Yah for you if you are.

I haven't checked this week either about the Cat 12's but I would think it will sometime soon.:)

Today is very cold and windy.YUCK! But at least it is sunny.

Oh no, just dreaming. The cat 12s are back up again. I don't want it to sell out too soon because I think that might decrease my chance of getting upgraded. I keep thinking about upgrading, but it is just too much of a difference in price.

I am a little nervous about getting sea sick. The other cruises I have been on I get a little woozy. My DH has never been on a cruise or my son, so I have them to worry about too. We really want to go on a cruise in Hawaii so I keep telling my husband this is a good test. I told him if he doesn't like it it's only 3 days and you can get off the boat everyday.

I think the Disney ship has more stabilizers then other older ships so I think that should help you. Plus, I need to research for you but some things work well to help with motion sickness : like having a little ginger root, don't drink dairy products while on the cruise, I can't recall the rest that can help calm your system down to help and also for people who tend to get sea sick the lower and more middle (cabin) you are in the better not the higher you are on a ship.:) There are more tips but can't recall right now.:)

Hi there everyone! Just wanted to check in and say have a great weekend.

Still snowed in here in PA. It's suppose to be 50 on Monday. I can't wait.

Anyone get their airfare yet? I am dying here. I can't wait until Southwest opens the window. I was checking Airtran it was so much. Now I am afraid Southwest will be the same and I made a mistake not buying the ticket before.

Rain here today.:(

I have been checking AA because for some reason for me if I get it early enough then AA is just the same price as SW.:confused3 Plus I can get non-stop with AA and can't with SW. I have been checking about every day.:headache:

It is nice to not have a stop over. We are flying into Orlando and out of southwest Florida so it's a little more difficult to get good flights. I like how Southwest doesn't totally rip you off if you have to change your flight. I just wish I just had it booked.

I pre-ordered my Passporter today. I love their books. I know all the information is really here on the DIS, but I like having it portable. I have been reading the electronic file you get for pre-ordering all day. My eyes are starting to hurt.

Have a great week.

We bought our plane tickets a couple of weeks ago. We are flying NS to Orlando on Continental.

I always hear about such great prices for SW but not for us around Dallas.:(

I have only read the Passporter book once a few years ago. Where is the best price to get it?
Thanks:goodvibes

It looks like we might get some snow today. Just in time for those flowers I just bought to plant for spring.:rotfl: I am just glad I didn't plant them yet.:lmao: We get snow in the Dallas area but it usually in mid Dec to mid Feb. But I love to see snow!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

Lucky you!:thumbsup2 I have checked with Cont. and it looks like double the price for the same fare from where you live. :headache: Gives me a head ach always trying to get a good price from Dallas around high season.
We can get $250. if we leave that Thur. 3 whole days before the trip.LOL and the kids are still in school.:sad2: But I did here that some people got around $250 for that weekend before Thanksgiving last year. So I will keep searching.

I think I might try to use Southwest Rapid rewards. I know it will be a hard time of year, but I think I will try.

Southwest sort of has a strong hold in Dallas. I guess they don't think they have to discount the tickets that much. I booked our return flight from DW on Airtran and it drove me crazy that I knew I could not change my flight if I needed to. But I really like being able to check in at the resort. It made that last day much more enjoyable. I hate that 24 hour check in thing at Southwest. I hate having to worry about being in the first boarding group.

Just popping in to say HI!
I haven't booked airfare yet. I'm signed up for Travelocity alerts and SW Dings, but so far none of the fares have been for November yet.
Disney Fans did you get that snow?

Hi,

I keep checking but no such luck with air fare but maybe around the 6 month mark we will see it cheaper. I hope!

YES! It snowed here!! Several inches. It was so much fun for the kids. They LOVED it!! Snow is all gone today, really most by last evening.:(
But thats ok because the kids did bring some snow in and put it into the freezer to keep for a while.:lmao:

WOW- We here in the Dallas area are going to get more snow.:lmao:
My kids are going to love this!:goodvibes
I live just 30 min. north of Dallas downtown and they say we could even get 5-8 inches of snow. If so I bet we have a school snow day Friday.

Wow, that is a lot of snow. I would never think of it snowing in Dallas. My husband and I were there about 5 years ago in the summer. I swear it was 140 in the shade. Well, that's what it felt like at least.

I hope you have a good snow day tomorrow.

Also, I have a code for the Passporter store to get 30% off. So the regular book is $13 + shipping and 1.50 handling. If you are getting something else from Amazon that might end up being a little bit cheaper because of the free shipping.

If you want the code let me know. I don't know if I should post it on the forum.

BTW, I love watching my countdown go down. Disneyfans, I think I like your countdown better then my boring one.

Hey,

Well it didn't snow as much as they thought but it still did snow several inches.:) We have a little bit of snow today left over from where the sun doesn't hit it.LOL
I might buy the book? Is there really anything that different then in years past? Thanks for offering the discount code.:)
if you like the clock I am using just go to the web site listed right hand top corner.:) Thanks for saying you like it.
