11-23-2008 DCL per-Thanksgiving 3 night Wonder cruise!!

Disney Fans, I am so sorry, but glad to hear everyone is ok. We had some really weird weather here about 2 months ago. I swear every night I thought our house was going to blow away. Where there any tornadoes or just strong winds?

There were Tornadoes. :scared1:
But there they were little ones, 5 or 6 they think.

Thanks everyone!! We are sure glad also. So far no one has been reported dead or really hurt. Our Friends who had there house hit pretty bad were on TV last night. Their house was new and just moved this past Dec. A couple of big pieces of wood went right into there upper bath room and straight through their bath tub, so much for being safe in the bath tub theory.:confused3 They stayed downstairs in the master closet it was the safty area for their house. But they are taking it well and just glad that everyone is ok.:) :grouphug:

Hi everyone, just off of the Magic yesterday. I booked this 3NT on board for before Thanksgiving....hugs!!!!!!!!!! I hope to meet all of you when I go again. It will be me, my sister, and my 10 yr old son, Joshua. We did fishextenders and they worked out great. Are we planning to them on this cruise? I'm thinking of doing the Atlantis excursion. This will be our 4th disney cruise and planning another:)LOL

Welcome to our group!! I will add your family to the 1st page of this thread and that is where you can see who all is going.

Are you staying at WDW for Thanksgiving day like most of us are planning?
Are they still giving the 10% off plus some kind of OBC for rebooking on board?

Thanks!

The deal of the century (in my opinion of course) is to find someone with DVC (Disney's version of a time share) thats willing to give up points and can book you something (Beach Club Villas are my favorite - pool is fabulous). Its a lot cheaper to get the villas this way (Sun - Thurs night stays) than to book via www.disneyworld.com. There is a DVC rent/trade forum here on Disboards.com. Good luck!!

Jodie

Oh, and I've also seen some deals at the Dolphin hotel, but its hit or miss (over spring break they offered a room for $179).

I agree that BC has the best pool!!!!!

Only another week and I will try to switch to the BC for the night before the cruise. I hope I get it. Then I have to talk DH into stay at WDW the night before the cruise. He really wants to stay at the port.

What time have you all gotten to the terminal before? At first I thought I wanted to be there early..like 10:30. Now I am think 11-11:30 will be better. I would love an option on this.

I'm not sure what the official boarding time is, but from what people have said, you can always board earlier. The sooner the better!!

If you decide to stay at the port, we're staying at Country Inn and Suites. They will let you leave your car and will transport you to the cruise terminal (think its $6 pp for the shuttle). They have a kids' suite with bunk beds for the kids - looks like a decent place.

Hope you can talk your hubbie into Beach Club - although 1 night will just be a big tease!!! I love that place!

its best to arrive early to get an early boarding number....the pools are available when you board...so you can eat...have your kids with their bathing suits and they can jump in the pool:) It is only 3 days so you gotta use every minute possible...trust me I'm happy to go on this three day but I am going to miss my 7 day:(

Me too. We've never done a 3 nighter before. The last cruise we did was the 11 night Mediterranean. Even at the end of that cruise, I did not want to leave the ship; I could have stayed on board for 11 more nights easily!! I know this one will feel short, but its better that than nothing. It will be fun to see a different ship (although I know they're almost exactly the same). We have a full week (Eastern) booked for Thanksgiving week 2009. Now THAT seems like a lifetime away!!

Jodie

P.S. There were news articles out recently about Disney's contract with Port Canaveral. Apparently, the new ships will be docked there. I'll see if I can find the article and will post.
