Stacie - I love puppy chow! Tim always gets at least 1 bag of it at Christmas from one of his student's parents. That and fudge!
We just got back from the pumpkin farm. I ate a popcorn ball and a small glass of cider. Everyone else ate fried Oreos, fried Twinkies, funnel cakes, donuts, pumpkin gobs, pumpkin cookies. As they ate they kept telling me how awful everything tasted! The baby hated the pumpkins. We sat him down in a big pile of them and he cried.
I thought for sure all of your Dots would be gone!
I had all good intentions of getting my winter stuff out and summer packed but I never did anything. I'll chip away at it this week.
DH was Donald Duck year before last and thinks it's too soon to repeat it. The Disney Store on line has adult costumes but I'm not very impressed with their selection. I think I want to be the Whoopee Cushion!

I've had a fried twinkie and they really are bad, you didin't miss a thing. You can't go wrong with oreos. I pull the top off, eat it, lick the frosting off the bottom, then eat the bottom. DH dunks his in milk, then we he's done with the oreos, drinks the sludge. I went with the puppy chow for snack today, I was going to have the dots but DD brought me the puppy chow, so I ate it. : )

Did you take pics of the baby in the pumpkins anyway? I'm sure he was still cute.

Hi Everybody,

I was away for a few days. Went scrapbooking with a few friends, had a great time. Now need to catch back up on the DIS boards. Scrapbooking was a nice stress reliever. DH is having shoulder surgery on Tuesday, as some of you know already he had a shoulder surgery last September. We are not sure what the problem is but he is still having pain with it. The doctor is going to go in and look around, hopefully he won't find major damage. We are going to bring down all the suitcases tomorrow (before DH has the surgery) from the attic. So hopefully maybe after things calm down here, I'll get started on my packing. You see I said hopefully.:rotfl:

My favorite halloween candy is Snickers.

Hi, everyone! I've just been working on my boring old homework today. I'm so glad I don't have to do homework on our cruise. That's just one more reason that this trip is going to be Magical! I thought about packing up my summer stuff right into suitcases, but because I'm anal, I'm afraid everything will be that much more wrinkled when I unpack it. Plus, what if I gain a gazillion pounds between now and then. Hey, you never know!:rolleyes1 All of this talk about fried twinkies, dots, and puppy chow is making me want to go get the cookie dough back out of the refrigerator.:lmao: Hope everyone has had a great weekend. The weather here was absolutely perfect!

Teresa...I'm so JEALOUS!!!!! Did you get a lot of scrapping done?

We brought up the suitcases and 3 of us are pretty much packed. Now I'll just have to work on DH's stuff....I'll try to get that done soon! It's amazing how much space the kids' clothes are taking up. I used to be able to put all their stuff in one little suitcase.

Question....if we're going to be at Castaway Cay 2 days and at sea 2 days how much day clothes do you really pack? I feel like Im packing too much!

Okay I cannot remember who asked me to look into it, but below is the answer I recieved late lastnight from our friend who works in youth activities. I asked about several different ages. I have copied and pasted the answers from the emails. It was late and they were typing fast I assume. Oq (ocean Quest). Chuck/Lisa we also found out that our favorite officer will be going to the Wonder for a few weeks and one will be during our cruise. :( Jessica was super sad.

The 7yr old can go to the 3-4's with the 4 yr olds and the 3-4 do go to the lab but not as much as the 5-7's and the 13 will be in Oq with the 11-13s as the stack is now only 14-17 but Oq is really cool and i the tweens really enjoy it.

For the FE I always zip tie mine to the fish. I do one around the ribbon and one around the dowel rod. Of course I know someone can still steal it, but at least I will make them work for it. All the ones i make are personalized as well, but I want to be sure. And yes, have a scissors to free the zip tie. Also do not pull the zip tie to tight or you will not be cutting it off :)

I know what the scrips are and I would think they would take them just like they do the giftcards, but I would call and verify. I know you can call ahead and have money put on someones stateroom account so they should be able to answer the scrips questions.

I was looking for the link to post (Lisa I think you are so cute) for the Navigators thread and I found this. I know someone recently asked what the Castaway Club Gift looks like.

And here is what Lisa was talking about....remember that that one goes Grand Cayman than Cozumel.

Michelle,

I had no idea the CC gift had changed, and I really like the new gift!:thumbsup2 That bag looks so much better than the ones I have received before. Thanks for the link.

I'm off to read me some navigators!

That bag is really nice. We got that one on our last two cruises. The water Bottles are great for use on the ship, but everyone we got has leaked.

The new bag looks quite a bit bigger than the old bag. I just found one of the old bags with everything still tucked inside it when I was doing some deep cleaning the other day. I guess I never even opened the bag to see what was in it. I had already received that gift on another cruise, so I guess I must not have been too concerned. I'm concerned now though!:rotfl: That bag looks like it's calling my name!

Well I guess that is one less for dinner, or two if his G/F went w/him...as to packing too much, you probably are...Lisa always has too much for herself and Mason and always swears there will be less the next time, but.....seriously, you wear very little during the day other than swim suits or casual shorts/shirt...and in case of emergency, there are laundry rooms for use ( i know, that is anathema to many).

Chuck:cool1:

And as to the Castaway Club stuff, it is nice enough, but they really could do better...also for those who are DVC, the DVC get together on board is always good for some nice door prizes. The CC meeting is just rice crispie treats and not much more.

Good Morning to all!!!!
Congratulations fellow cruisers. We made it. We passed the 40 day marker and are now counting down the 30's!!
I'm posting later than usual today, I slept in! That very rarely happens because if the alarm doesn't get me up at 5:30 the dog does. Even he slept in today.

Teresa - I know everything will go well for your DH tomorrow. Tell him we are all thinking about him! And when it's all over he'll be able to do the Steeler's cheer with full range of motion!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

It's going to be 80 again today. I should house clean and do the clothes but it's too beautiful out. I'm thinking there will be plenty of cold yucky days to do that before we sail.:rolleyes1 :boat:

She is remaining aboard the Magic. If you end up in a stateroom near us you should see her....I think she will have stateroom privilages.

I got email this morning from some friends on the ship and they said they are currently planning to continue the "old' character breakfast.

Thanks for the info Michelle!! Mason will be excited. He loved when the characters came to the tables for pictures, hugs and autographs!! :cool1:

One thing I noticed on the website is a 3pm meeting time for the Disboards group. I would suggest changing that to 4pm because of the mandatory evacuation drill that will take place around 330.

Historically, we have used Deck 10 midship landside as the Disboards meeting place as it overlooks both the sailaway party which starts about 430 and the dock where you can see the Disney employees waving goodbye w/the giant Mickey hands.

Of course as you can see from our posted photo on the website, I am rather tall (6'8"), and will likely be easily spotted in the terminal - not to mention the matching shirts saying Turkey Day Gang we will probably be wearing.

For some reason, they didn't have me down as a DVC member last cruise. How can I make sure I don't miss out this time?

(This may be a double post b/c of error message I got)

Speak to the folks at the DVC desk next to the rebooking desk on Deck 4 midship (atrium) when you get on board to make sure you are included...they also might be down in Rockin Bar D when you board, but if not, they are on Deck 4 for large parts of each day. Also, you could probably call DVC in advance.

Maybe I'll mention it to my guide this week. We're going to MNSSHP and are touring the BLT models while there. We can't buy more right now, but I'm hoping to some day. You can never have enough points.
