11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

You know, I thought the exact same thing, now I don't feel so bad.

I bought my holloween costume tonight. We always have a huge party with a theme. This year it's the 60's and I'm going as a hippie. I need to re-think my profession, I kind of like the idea.

Ken - Although I'm not quite old enough to have participated in the "hippie years" I remember my brother was! I can still see him stringing love beads and wearing his fringed buckskin vest, headband and long hair. He was a big war protester as well! The old hippies had just faded away when I was old enough. I had the Woodstock album, does that count? I do remember actively participating in the disco years however!

Whenever Howard sees Radcliffe in Disney he fools around with the kids and says, "THere's Mayor McCheese." SO I figured it would be funny to have his name made up with his picture.

I have one for you tonight... my son, JOrdan, was over my sil's house this afternoon(They live 3 miles away from us). I go over there later this evening and my bil told me that Jordan and my nephew somehow got a racquetball stuck on their neighbor's roof, in the gutter. THen they figured the best way to get it out was to throw the racquet up there. SO I lok up in the gutter and sure enough there's the racquet sticking out of the gutter. I figure when they get the roof redone in 15 years they'll get it back. They'll need a 30 foot ladder to retrieve them!

Suzanne - You gotta give them credit - they have good aim! That sounds like something Ian and his buds would do! And it would stay there until a strong wind or the roofers brought it down! What's up with boys? How do their brains work exactly?

Radcliffe is one of the under appreciated villains! My DH loves Lord Frollo from "Hunchback".

I think we're going to have to hire someone to take the ivy down. That stuff gets a really fat stalk and it's tough to pull off - especially when you're hanging out of a window. It's starting to pull at our shutters and the bricks. I cut one back that was actually sending a shoot into the window! We're being over grown and my house is starting to remind me of the Munsters or the Adams Family. Ken - You can have a scary Halloween party here!

The bracelets will be lime green, have Mickey Mouse head on them and Disney font. I was thinking of having them say "Traveling Turkeys 2008" but if you think of something better then let me know today. They suggest 25 - 30 characters or less.

They come in 3 sizes:
Adult which is about 9 inches
Youth which is about 8 inches
Toddler which is a little smaller than 7 inches

They will be 80 cents each plus if you want me to mail them to you in advance I will have to figure out postage.

I think the best thing to do will be to wait for them to come in (2 to 3 weeks) then I can post a picture of what they look like or maybe Stacie can even post a picture on the website. When I get them you can PM me so I can give you my contact info.

Once the initial order is placed with the vendor (which I am doing tomorrow night) then reorders will not take long. I will order some of every size for this initial run. Thanks

This is wonderful! I think the design sounds great. For those that can wait, we can distribute them at the meet on day 1. If you want specific orders, I will need 4, adult size.

62 days!
My neighbors left this morning for WDW. No kids, just the 2 of them, their girls are all grown and live in Ohio. They walked to their car holding hands and I waved goodbye from my dining room window, trying to hide my tears and my jealousy!
Sandy - You know Bradford is called the "ice box" because it gets so cold there.

Spent an hour at the dentist today getting my stitches out and talking to him about retiring to the Caribbean. He's been looking at villas in St Martin, his brother already lives there. We have a few years left before we can actually retire!

Earlier this afternoon I was hanging out our front bedroom window, 2nd floor, cutting back the ivy that has been growing up our brick. All of a sudden I got hit in the head. It was DS and his 2 friends. They were flying a remote control helicopter and flew it right into me! They are being punished as we speak. I'm making them pick up the debris and take it down into the woods! They are still laughing and think they're funny.

I was afraid you were going to say you fell out the window. Be careful woman! I too enjoy your stories, but don't kill yourself just to entertain us.

Stillers are losing 12-6 against Philly. Rothlesberger has been sacked about 9 times! I had to leave the living room, I get very nervous!. DS and his 2 partners in crime are watching and they drive me crazy. They're also eating me out of house and home! I have never seen boxes of cereal disappear so fast in my life! They eat out of serving bowls!

It was more than ugly!!! Just heard on the news Big Ben hurt his hand. I'm not surprised. You can't get sacked that many times and expect to get off without a scratch. Where was our offense? It's games like this that really make you miss Allen Faneca!
