It was about 60° here this morning. By the time school started it was probably 65°. I had a student (kindergarten) walk in today with a winter jacket and an ear flapped hat. Can you say paranoid parents? :rolleyes1

I wear my gloves if the temperature is below 70°. ;) I really don't know how I ever survived the first 23 years of my life living in Buffalo. :cold:

I should be living in FL because I really do not do well in temps below 60 degrees. DH OTH thrives in the cold. Give me 120 degree temp with 80% humidity any day. I'm totally a FL girl at heart!

I got some shots of the Magic, but nothing was going on. I guess they were sanding down in preparation for painting. Not many people were milling about. I wish I could get down there to watch her sail out, but we have a really full weekend.

Happy Friday...Cheers!

P.S. - 2x4....Congrats on getting the A-OK to sail.

Sandy....

I forgot to ask you.... There are 2 names I want:
"Granddee" with Sorcerer Mickey :smickey: and...
"Suzanne" with Tink :tink:

AND...if you could find (And I KNOW this is a crazy one...)
"Howard" with Governor Radcliff...

THANK YOU!!!!:worship:

BUFFALO! I grew up in Erie, across the lake from you. We had some wicked cold and snowy winters up there, eh?

Yep, the mark of a true northerner. The word "wicked" comes out of their mouth. Just like us southerners tend to say "y'all."

Must have been cool to see the Magic in person. I'm always trying to get DH to drive up to Port Canaveral for the day, but he thinks I'm nuts.

I've started taking requests again, on the other thread, so I'll post them there when I'm done.
Which Tink design would you like, I have three.
Also, I had to look up Governor Radcliff because I didn't know who that was. I couldn't find any pictures. If you can find a picture for me I'd be happy to make Howard's name with it.

And that's why I live in FL now. I can't stand the cold. I actually lived in East Aurora (home of Fisher-Price) but I tell people Buffalo because most don't know where EA is. My mom was born in PA and has a lot of family in Bradford and Clearfield.

Sandy, could you please post your Double Dipping Traveling Turkeys picture again. I know it's on this thread somewhere but I can't find it. You don't mind if I print it out and use it to, do you?

I was thinking about using your picture to have t-shirts made for my family. Would you care? I found a company that's relatively cheap, and I thought it would be fun to have matching t-shirts when we get to the port. Let me know how you feel about that. Thanks!

Susan

Sandy... I don't know how to post a picture here so I'll post the link. Gornor Radcliffe is from Pocohantos....

He's with Jafar in this picture....

I'll check out the tinks....THANK YOU!!!!
I don't think that picture will work very well for the name. Let me know if you can find a different one.

Sure, I'm OK with that. I'll definitely be able to pick your family out of the crowd in the terminal. ;)

62 days!
My neighbors left this morning for WDW. No kids, just the 2 of them, their girls are all grown and live in Ohio. They walked to their car holding hands and I waved goodbye from my dining room window, trying to hide my tears and my jealousy!
Sandy - You know Bradford is called the "ice box" because it gets so cold there.

Spent an hour at the dentist today getting my stitches out and talking to him about retiring to the Caribbean. He's been looking at villas in St Martin, his brother already lives there. We have a few years left before we can actually retire!

Earlier this afternoon I was hanging out our front bedroom window, 2nd floor, cutting back the ivy that has been growing up our brick. All of a sudden I got hit in the head. It was DS and his 2 friends. They were flying a remote control helicopter and flew it right into me! They are being punished as we speak. I'm making them pick up the debris and take it down into the woods! They are still laughing and think they're funny. :lmao: :rotfl2:

I'm sure beginning to love all of your stories. There's never a dull moment at your house, huh? :rotfl: Seriously, I'm glad the flying helicopter didn't send you in for even more stitches.

It was harmless. It's made of Styrofoam and plastic! I wasn't mad even though it was deliberate, but I used it as an excuse to get some help! :thumbsup2 I can't get mad at his friends - they're both 15 and very funny likable good kids. DH has a cold and he wants everyone to believe it may be fatal! So we're letting him lounge around and watch TV all day.:happytv:

Suzanne,
When I saw your post asking for Howard's name with Gov. Radcliffe I thought, Hmmm, she want it with the Gov. of NJ! Now I get it!

You know, I thought the exact same thing, now I don't feel so bad.

I bought my holloween costume tonight. We always have a huge party with a theme. This year it's the 60's and I'm going as a hippie. I need to re-think my profession, I kind of like the idea.

Whenever Howard sees Radcliffe in Disney he fools around with the kids and says, "THere's Mayor McCheese." SO I figured it would be funny to have his name made up with his picture.

Judy...I too enjoy your stories. They make me chuckle

I have one for you tonight... my son, JOrdan, was over my sil's house this afternoon(They live 3 miles away from us). I go over there later this evening and my bil told me that Jordan and my nephew somehow got a racquetball stuck on their neighbor's roof, in the gutter. THen they figured the best way to get it out was to throw the racquet up there. SO I lok up in the gutter and sure enough there's the racquet sticking out of the gutter. I figure when they get the roof redone in 15 years they'll get it back. They'll need a 30 foot ladder to retrieve them!

Have a good night all!!

I got them!! I found the material I am going to use to make some FE's and I am doing them a little different than most, but hopefully they will be good enough to hang up. Hmm maybe some sparling stuff would work?:rotfl2:
I have even decided that one of the gifts I am giving out will be something hand made, but may need some help doing them, what was I thinking?:confused3
There is another part of my gifts that I had in mind to buy if I found them and I did:worship: So I am feeling pretty good about things now.
