CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES

Did I mention CHOCOLATE?

Lora

Aren't the mickey bars dipped in chocolate . . . That would be my vote!

How does the grab bag work? Are the presents wrapped?

Susan -

You're up early!!

Judy
My master's classes are about to become the death of me, so I was up at 6:00 this morning posting assignments on the website. I'll sure be glad when I'm finished!:) I have to be to work by 7:30 though, so I'm usually up fairly early anyhow. I'm just usually rushing around and don't have time to do the important stuff like posting on the DIS!:rotfl: I need to get my priorities straightened out, don't I?:lmao:

Susan

I sent an e-mail to DCL and received a response. It's still too early to finalize but I did send off our requests. The contact - Dorothy, will e-mail me with details when she can secure a room, etc. I mentioned to her that I was getting excited and couldn't wait. She told me not to wish the time away because life is too short! Maybe it is but the cruise is too short too!!

Mickey bars - a non-negotiable:mickeybar with every dinner!

I've never done a gift exchange before but I'm guessing we wrap it. Anyone out there that participated before - what did you do?

Watched America's Funniest Videos last night and they had filmed at WDW and on the Wonder. It made me "homesick".

Lora - I'm sorry to hear Mc is not feeling well. I hope she doesn't have migraines. They are the worst.

last time we did it it was just as described. We brought a large bag and deposited all the items into it, the largest being a small t-shirt for a toddler. each person who brought a bag item got to reach inside and take an item. we alotted a max. dollar amount, I think five dollars, for each item, if I'm wrong I'm sure DW(love2travel) will correct me. Keep it easy, remember this all has to fit in a suitcase, for the way down.:cool1:

Yes my DH is correct. I will bring a large tote bag...whoever brings an item takes out an item. Just something fun to do. :thumbsup2

Thank you for such a great welcome. :cool1: We cruised 2 years ago on the 4-day Wonder Thanksgiving cruise and had such a great time that we started planning our next cruise right away. We found out about DIS recently and wanted to say hello to our fellow cruisers. :woohoo: Will check with DW on the grab bag.

Can someone enlighten me on the dolphin swim? Is it better to book this on your own? I want whichever one has the most dolphin interaction (well I personally don't care if I swim with Flipper but dds do!).;)

I knew I saw something about it previously but I can't locate it.

Thanks! :woohoo:

OH JUDY__WHERE ARE YOU??? It's 8:37 and no postings today. Your slipping.

What was DCL's response to CHOCOLATE? I forget to add a chocolate fountain to my list. What was I NOT thinking? Chocolate with more chocolate. YUM-O.

My supplies arrived yesterday for the FE's, which should last me for a little while, but I'm sure that I'llneed more stuff.

Have a good day everyone.

Lora

Judy, Lora's got a point it's almost mid-morning here and we haven't heard anything from you.

This morning DS and DD had their consultation with the oral surgeon about getting their wisdom teeth out. YIKES, that is not cheap. They are scheduled for Nov 12. The Dr. assured me that that was plenty of time to recover before our trip. Anyone have experience in this area? Part of me thinks we should wait until afterwards just in case.

It is a beautiful fall day here. It was 89 and unbearably humid yesterday, today it's not supposed to make it out of the 60s. It's going to be under 80 the rest of the week. Perfect football weather.

I got up late this morning - couldn't sleep and stayed up and watched Conan. I woke up so late I didn't get my cup of tea! That doesn't happen very often.
I have been hard at work ladies!!:rotfl2: Actually our county application for our federal funding is due soon and because it's the Feds it is extremely time consuming - lots and lots of paperwork. I could develop it and it would only be 2 pages. But do they ask me - noooooo.:confused3

Lora - first - Delores never told me anything about my requests for food and drink. I'm assuming it will be ok and that we'll finalize it when we get the room. I will make sure we have chocolate - I'm not only a DIS aholic but a chocoholic as well. The minute this vacation starts I am off of the diet and the binging will begin. Chocolate will be the first decadent food in my mouth!
Second- You are really starting to scare me with your FE supplies. What are you doing down there in WV? :confused3

Judy

Stacie - Our daughter had her wisdom teeth out when she was about 16. She is by nature a drama queen and a moaner and groaner but she didn't have any problems at all. She was back to her old self in about a week if not sooner.

We booked the swim through Disney. We booked the Dolphinaris swim, it's 40 minutes in the water with the dolphins and it's 160.00 each. The other swim at Chankanauub(I'm sure I spelled that wrong!) is cheaper but I don't think you get as much time and I couldn't find any reference to actually being able to swim with them. Both are cheaper if you book directly through them. I don't know about transportation to and from etc. and booking through DCL was all inclusive and simple. And since I'm a simple person I just clicked a few buttons and it was done! I also didn't want to take any chances since this is what I am looking forward to the most. As I said before I have wanted to swim with a dolphin since Eisenhower was in office and this is a dream to me! :cloud9: :fish:

It is a press release of the planned upgrades to the Magic while in dry dock.:woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: :cool1:

Happy Disney:

I agree with what Judy is doing on the dolphin swim. We did Chankanauub (Blame Judy for the spelling), 2 years ago and it was something we will never forget. The expression on my DD's face while she was there is priceless. However, the Dolphinaris excursion seems to be a little nicer than the one we did 2 years ago. Chankanauub is basically a big circular dock out in the ocean and not very appealing. Dolphinaris looks to be a lot more secluded looking and I think the time with the dolphins is more as well.

Here are some pics:

I'm so excited about the upgrades during dry dock. My littlest one loved the Sorcerer Mickey splash area on the Wonder. I'm glad to see they are adding one on the Magic. Though I still think she'd rather be in the pool, this should make her happy.

I also love the flat screen TV's in all the rooms!

Happy Disney:

:cool1: Yeah for the splash zone!!! Double yeah on the flat screen TVs. yabe I'll actually be able to see it without my glasses. I'm hoping they bring the Toy Story show aboard too, and that they are just keeping it a secret.

Thanks for posting the link Ken! Anyone hear any news about menu changes or what the age groups will be for the kids' clubs? I can't wait to hear from the cruisers after drydock.

Thanks for all the links. Can't wait to share them with the family.:thumbsup2

Stacie,

Can you please assign my FE delivery day on Wed, or before? I'd prefer Wed, but if that won't work, any day prior will be OK, too.

Thanks, Shell
