Ken - Those photos are amazing! DD really looks like she's having the time of her life! I can't wait (79 more days)!
Also, thanks for the link to the upgrades. I too hope they decide to do Toy Story on the Magic. DS will be glad to hear about the TV upgrades. All there is to explore and I know it will be his favorite thing!
Here's hoping the hurricaine season is really over by the time we sail and that Hanna and the new guy churning off in the Atlantic are kind when they go through the Bahamas and C Cay.

New guy (Ike) and new girl! Josephine is right behind Ike. And there's another wave coming off the coast of Africa. Talk about busy.


I just got an email from my TA with FL resident rate 7-night Magic cruises, two in October and one in November (not ours). For the same category we have now we could pay half as much.

I just got an email from my TA with FL resident rate 7-night Magic cruises, two in October and one in November (not ours). For the same category we have now we could pay half as much.

Half as much? Ouch!! My TA keeps sending me things on the 9/24 sailing of the Magic, evidently they just added that one because dry dock will be done sooner. The rates are less than $500/person and DH and I would really like to go, just the two of us, but we can't justify it.

Ken, another dolphin swim question - did you buy the video? Are they expensive and worth it? I just looked at your photos again. The ocean is so blue and it looks so nice! The air is crankin' in our office and it's freezin' in here. I can't wait to get out in the sun. (20 degrees and the hockey game's on...I gotta go where it's warm)

Welcome!!! Glad you finally got brave enough to join us. It's best if your DH just walks away from the computer at this point, there's no turning back now. Most of us are harmless.

Welcome! By the way, my DH rolls his eyes every single time he walks by and I'm on the DIS. He just doesn't get it. Of course, he probably couldn't even turn the computer on by himself let alone find a website, so I shouldn't expect him to understand my addiction to the DIS. I'm not being mean--he knows I say these things. I just tell him I'm laughing with him, not at him. All kidding aside, we're glad you'll be joining us. Your DH will eventually accept us.

My parents bought the video for us. I think it was around $40. A bit cheesy the first time we watched it. However, be brought it out again last weekend (2 years later), and it was a lot of fun too watch. You will have a blast!

I had typed this earlier tonight and as I tried to post it, our cable went out and I lost it. So here it goes again.

Last year before our May 2007 cruise, I cross-stitched the princesses and Minnie for the girls. We then had them autographed. I was going to frame them individually, but when my grandma died 2 months later (who was an avid quilter) I decided to make them into quilts for the girls. I wanted to get a photo of Mackenzie and her quilt with the princesses and Kenna with hers and Minnie. However,I really didn't want to have to carry the quilts around a lot. I emailed DCL today and Wilma stated that she would contact the ship and see if it could be arranged for us to meet with the princesses together either before or after a show.

Please send some pixie dust our way that this will work out.

Good Morning everyone!

Lora - That's a great idea! What a wonderful memory and keepsake for the girls. As accommodating as Disney is I'm sure they'll arrange it for you. When we renewed our vows on the Wonder in 05 we had photos taken with formal Mickey and Minnie in the lobby in front of the Christmas tree. I think our friends (speak up here Plutolovesfifi -Linda) may have told our concierge guy to do it. They were very accommodating. They told him to do a lot of things! Once Linda found out he put the wrong name (mine) on the certificate it was all over for him!!!! Poor Rodrigo. The entire renewal was a blast. If anyone is even thinking about doing it - do it. It's a great memory and a lot of fun. We laughed through the whole thing. Even the captain officiating (John Barwis - the Capt featured on the DCL Travel Channel) was laughing. And our bartenders kept the champagne flowing and never charged us for the extra bottles. We drank a lot too! Linda and Mark were married at Disney! Ask Linda about her wedding!
Ken - Thanks for the video info!
Told DS about the new TV's in the cabins and his eyes lit up; "Cool, can I have the big bed and you and Dad sleep on the couch and the bunk bed?" Why are teenagers' brains so whacked?

Stacie - It doesn't matter to me what day I deliver FE's. You can keep me as a left over and plug me in where ever you want. (That doesn't sound good, does it?) I can't imagine it will take long to deliver them.
Hope your head feels better I would send you some of our sunshine if I could. Took a long walk downtown on my lunch break to thaw out (it is bitter in my office) and soak up the rays.

I love Lora's quilt idea. I'm sure that Disney will make that happen. Believe me, I've seen my share of "Disney magic". I had a friend tell me once that you can bring a pillow case of piece of material on board with you and have the characters autograph it, then take it home and embroider the signatures.
On the sail away you'll find me on dolphin watch. My DH Mark saw them last trip (Wonder 2005) AND DIDN'T COME GET ME. (not that I have any issues with this. I have totally forgotten about the whole thing and never bring it up).
