And I definitely do not want to miss seeing the dolphins escort the ship when we leave port. pirate:

Halfway down on page 2, everybody must have gone to be early!

Good morning and Happy Saturday to everyone. 104 days to go!
On my way out to buy a part for my FE and to Lowes to pick out paint for our kitchen. I have my heart set on Donald Duck blue! :donald: :donald:

So what I'm hearing is a request to change the meet to sometime on Monday. I can e-mail DCL next week.

What time are you guys thinking? Palo brunch is on option on Monday and some will have the character breakfast. It is also formal night.

I got fabric yesterday to make our 2 FE's. It would have only cost me $14 to make both, but I saw some Disney squares that caught my eye that I am now going to put on the front of the pockets. Once I get it made I'll try to post a picture of it. I still haven't figured out how to do that yet.

Sandy--How is your site going? I noticed how you've got the names listed on the 1st post. Quite clever. I told you that you needed to have your own thread like the others--CONGRATULATIONS. I know we still have plenty of time, but was wondering how the magnets were coming. I just wanted to make sure that I haven't missed them. After you finished with our names, I unsubscribed to your thread.

Apparently on our first cruise we missed alot of stuff, that was good stuff. I've noticed since reading the threads. We didn't do the sailaway party. Had no idea that it was such a big deal. Didn't know that dolphins were there to go to sea with us. Didn't know that the Pirate party and Golden Mickey party was so big, or the dessert buffet, or Palo's.. Makes me wonder what we did on our first cruise. Guess I need to get out our 108 page scrapbook and see what we did.

You got to love summertime especially if you're a kid. The state fair is going on and our sweet corn is ready:

ETA: I just realized he has Mickey shirts on in both pictures, think I have a sickness of some sort?

I think you might have the same sickness I do.:lmao: I can't believe how big Andy is! Brian was just sitting here watching me on the computer and saw Andy. He couldn't believe it either! I can't wait to see you all in person in 104 days!:cool1:  :thumbsup2 :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2:

By the way, I think having the meet on Monday sounds fine. Is that when we'd do the gift exchange as well? Just tell us what time, and we'll be there.

I've been keeping an eye out for gifts for the FE's. Do we know for sure how many families are participating and how many gifts we are going to do? Thanks, Stacie and have a great weekend!

I don't know if congratulations are in order. It all started with one person asking if anyone could make two names for her. Now I have 679 name requests. It's taking up too much of my time.
Anyway, as soon as I get September's requests done, I'll work on the signs for your girls. :)

BTW, if anyone on this thread would like me to make names for them, I would be more than happy to do it. It's just all the requests from people who only registered as DIS members so I would make signs for them that make me somewhat cynical. Sorry for the rant.

Susan ~ Did you figure out how to do the names?

Susan - the photo of Andy with the calf is adorable!
Lora- How is potty training coming along?

And I'm very confused - what is this about making names?

I'm in for a Monday meet as well. Any time is good for us. We have late dining and no plans for Palo brunch that day. Actually, nothing planned except to relax by the pool and stare out at the ocean! I smell the salt air!! :boat:

Judy

Judy,

It's not. I guess that Kenna isn't as ready as I am. Kenzie was trained by now. I know each child is different and with all of her "issues" she just isn't ready. I'll keep offering, but.....I can see us going to Flounders instead of the club, which might be better for her anyway. I still have time. So we'll see.

Lora,
She may surprise you yet. When Emily decided she was ready she just came home from day care and announced she was not wearing diapers any more and we needed to buy her panties with lace on them. She was always demanding! This time it worked in our favor.

Here's what Passporter has to say about Dolphin spotting:

"Did you know dolphins sometimes frolic in the waters around the ship? The best time to spot dolphins is within the first hour of leaving a port, particularly as your leaving Port Canaveral. For optimum spotting, you'll want to be looking over either the port or starboard side of the ship, toward the bow. Dolphins like to hitch rides on the bow waves of moving ships. We recommend the big windows on deck 3 or outside on deck 4 for the best views, but deck 10 also offers good views. Taking pleasure in spotting dolphins is an old tradition - Ancient Greek sailors considered dolphin escorts a good omen for a smooth voyage."
I'll definitely be looking for them! :sail:

Sandy,
I can't get the coaster font to save on my computer for some reason. If you get time to make one for Brandon, that would be great. If not, I've made one in microsoft word, but it just doesn't look as good as yours do.:goodvibes It would do though. Thanks for doing those. I wondered if the thread was getting out of control. That is A LOT of requests! You're so kind to keep doing it. I think I would have changed my username by now.:lmao:

Of course I'll make one for Brandon. Does he have a favorite movie or character? It doesn't have to be a design I've already done. What were you trying to make for him? Maybe I can work with that background picture.

Sandy,

I was thinking of just doing a Mickey Mouse of some sort for Brandon. I saw a cool Mickey slam dunking a basketball on a site that was recommended on your thread for names. However, anything you already have will do--mickey or pirate mickey or anything like that. He is very in to basketball or baseball, but I'm not sure if you have anything like that. I'm determined to get that font on my computer! I'm going to mess with it some more tonight to see what I can get it to do!

Thanks so much! You are definitely going to need rum before you ever even get on the ship if you keep getting so many requests for signs!:rotfl:

Does any one know what the menu is for Thanksgiving evening dinner? I'm assuming they have turkey but there are other options, right?
Also, when is lobster night?

Judy :wave2:

Judy :wave2:

I thought lobster night was Thursday, aka Thanksgiving. I planned to have turkey for lunch so I can have 2 lobsters for dinner.

Thanks for the info! Tim is excited about lobster night. They didn't have it on our 4 day Wonder. As for me - keep that creme brulee comin'!

Ken - Saw your comment on Black Friday! Aren't you part of that 4 am crowd!!!???? :scared1:

I was just exploring the mouse for less website. There are some very cute downloads. Especially activities for kids. I printed out word search puzzles for the flight and mousekeeping envelopes for our stay at AKL.

Judy

Yeah, that Black Friday crowd brings back BAD memories. Too much to type, but Michellene and I can share our story over a beer. Lets just say, we wont be doing that again anytime soon.

Looking forward to hearing that story! I have a few to tell too! I haven't gone out in a few years. It's too dangerous!
Severe storms coming in here today. I can't decide if I want to stay home and clean (yeah, like I want to) or go to Best Buy. I feel the need for new music. :dancer:
