Hope everyone has had a great Memorial Day weekend! We didn't really have any big plans but ended up getting me a toy.:cool1: I got a little Volkswagon beetle to drive around to save on gas mileage. It's the funnest little car, and it beats the heck out of the gas mileage I get on my expedition!;) We also found out that my mom is now cancer free!:grouphug: It's been a great weekend! Take care!

Susan

Hi!

We re-booked for this cruise while on 4/14/07 Eastern!:)

I'm a single mom with 3 DS's 12, 11, 9.

Not sure if we will be able to keep this cruise. This cruise is so booked up and my middle DS has Autism. The kid's clubs will be so packed, I'm a little leary.

We also didn't get an aft stateroom like we wanted and we're wait-listed for main dining. I know all that could change as people cancel (if people cancel), but it may not.

I booked this week, because our school system has the full week off for the first time and I thought it would be different going on a holiday. My sons love the idea, but my relatives will probably be disappointed.

That being said, I would like to say hi to everyone. Dutch Girl Scout I think you were booked for awhile on my last cruise and then re-booked yourself. Not sure?

I haven't read the whole thread yet so I'll save the Costa Maya and Thanksgiving dinner ???? until I have.

We had the best cruise so far in April, so it's nice to be booked again! :boat:

Good luck with your new car. Best wishes to your mom on being cancer free!

What a blessing, Susan! I know it is a great relief to your family to hear this bit of great news.

Welcome aboard, pershing. This will be my family's first cruise ever and we love the idea it's during the holiday season. You'll find the Traveling Turkeys are extremely friendly and helpful. Have fun reading through all 28+ pages this thread currently has and be sure to contact dutch_girl_scout about the Double Dipping Traveling Turkeys website.

Welcome Pershing!:grouphug: Thanks to everyone for the kind replies on my mother. We're so glad it is all over with.:thumbsup2

Susan...what awesome news! Your posting brought a smile to my face!

WELCOME PERSHING!! DH was on Cape Cod this past weekend! (he works for US Fish and Wildlife...he was on the refuge...Monamoy I think the name is????)

The kids and I had a blast in Cape May! The weather was warm and sunny! It was no Castaway Cay now....but it was a nice break from our craziness!:scared1: (14 days till moving day:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: )

Has anyone seen POC3?? DS is begging to go....I am hoping to see it this coming weekend.......any reviews??

Thank you, Jackie!:) We went and saw POC3 this weekend. We didn't really like it, but I've talked to people who thought it was great.:confused3 There seems to be quite a few story lines that go on and it is a pretty long movie. However, I'd still go see it. We all have that Flying Dutchman attachment to it, so you just have to see it. Knowing that we've seen the flying dutchman at CC and then seeing it again in the movie was awesome. That itself made it worth it.:goodvibes

We went to see it this past Saturday and loved it. I still think the second one was the best, but this one was great also.

Did anyone else stick through all the credits to see the final scene?

Thank you, Meegster! We didn't stay to see the final credits from the POC movie. It sounds like we really missed out. We had no idea there was going to be any more to the movie and then found out about it afterwards.

Okay, only you guys would understand....woke up early to get some thing done before the kids get up, do alittle packing, go through some paper work....stopped in to check email.....escaped to the DIS.....and 45 minutes later added the cutest lil' addition to my signature!

Can we all say it together...
PROCRASTINATOR!!!!!:confused3

Feel free to copy the turkey siggy if you know how!!:wizard:

Thanks for the great :welcome:

Yes, we were invaded this past weekend. Now, it will be quiet until July 4th weekend, then all hell breaks loose.

We live pretty far down on the cape so the roads get so clogged we don't take left turns at traffic lights during the summer. It's funny, we joke about that.

Thanks Got Disney? I will check out Dutch Girl Scouts website.

I still have reading to do.....This week's been way too busy. I'm going thru Disney withdrawal and haven't been able to get my fix each day!

I owe, I owe (from the last trip) so to work, work, work I go.:rolleyes1 Gotta get ahead for the this trip! My sons really love the idea of going to CC twice!:thumbsup2

This cruise is so booked up

Welcome Pershing. Would you please advise as to how you learned that this cruise is already heavily booked. I have family that have been on the fence about joining us and am now wondering whether they will be limited in their choice of cabins. Thanks!!

Susan...wonderful news about your mother...I'm happy for all of you!!

Welcome Pershing ...hope you stay aboard!!!

jsfein...category 12s are all gone!! Sara hasn't booked it yet...I think this is moving her!!!

We finally moved Dad over to our cruise! He was able to get an outside state room!!!

Hey Teresa...looks like we'll be seeing our little Michael soon!! Time to bust some chops!! Can't wait to see you guys!!

Hi all. We will be joining you on the Turkey Day 08 cruise. It will be me, DW, DD (8) and twin DSs (4).

We did this same itenerary last November and it was by far our best DCL cruise and favorite ports. The DD at CC is beyond cool.

We have a western to go on this November in the meantime.

I did not read all 29 pages, but if anyone has questions about the ports, let me know.

disneypoor - Rejoicing with you on the news of your mom!

pershing and SFed - :welcome:

Not much exciting here. We're trying to plan a short getaway some time this summer. Had hopes of a day whitewater rafting, but with DH's back problems the last few weeks, I think we should forget that idea. We are a family of coaster addicts, however; so we were thinking of a quick trip to Chicago to try the Six Flags there. Has anyone else been there? DD noticed the Superman coaster and thinks that would be awesome.

Quuick question...what did they do that was interesting for Thanksgiving???

Hey SFed - are your twins 4 now or at cruise time? I have a 7 yr old son and twin 4 yr old daughters - current ages - I'm sure we'll run into you!

Welcome aboard, SFed. From the looks of your signature, you're a DCL veteran. I'm sure many of us (myself included) will be asking you a lot of questions. I'll start off with the first - how was Thanksgiving on DCL?
