11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

Suzynuprin - Your trip report was hillarious I spent 2 hours today reading that thread....didn't eat lunch until after 1:30. Well worth the hunger pains. Sure hope your vacation curse doesn't follow you on this cruise.

I'll make a vow to try very hard to leave my travel curse at home before the cruise...but if magically find ourselves in the middle of the Bermuda triangle, don't throw me overboard.

Also - late lunch because of my TR? I'm sorry...I'll make it up to you. I'll buy you some Chicken Tenders and Fries by the pool.

NASA said they might have to reevaluate their psychological testing, ya think?!?!? Maybe they should ask the question Would you drive across country wearing a diaper to attack another astronaut in a parking garage with a BB gun? I think that lady would have actually said yes.

Question of the day 2/8/07--It's Girl Scout Cookie time here. What's your favorite kind of Girl Scout cookie?

Mine is the Samoas (coconut, chocolate, carmel), DH and DS14 like the Tagalongs otherwise known as Peanut Butter Patties, DD12 likes the Trefoils (the shortbread ones).

I went to high school with Lisa Caputo. She is several years younger than me, but something had to snap.I feel so sorry for her. She was so smart and on top of everything. She was the top student in her class.

Not sure what happened, but she has all my prayers!

Answer to Question of the Day 2/8: Thin Mints. I loved the Lemon Coolers they had last year but then they discontinued them!!!

I'm going to try to rebook onboard 3/1 - I do want the same staterooms though.

Question of the Day February 9th, 2007

It's sunny and 85 degrees out and your sitting with your feet in the water at Castaway Cay. You can hear Jimmy Buffet playing from the Conked Out Bar and there isn't a cloud in the sky. Here comes the drink waiter... WHAT do you order?

Me: Hands Down... Konk Kooler! Wonderfully Filling.

I have to be honest--I never even tried a Konk Cooler on our last cruise. I must be missing out! I'm a daquiri girl, but maybe I'll branch out this time!

Let us know if you're able to rebook onboard and how much of a deal you get. I'm just praying the prices stay the same until after we cruise! BTW, get back to work!

I'm with you. Jimmy Buffet requires a margarita, but after that I'm up for a Konk Kooler or just about any other drink of the day.
I was just going to ask how you could be home and on the Disboards when I realized the time....I missed lunch again today. This is getting to be a habit.

Count us in for this cruise too!!

It will be all nine of us (see signature below), and we are booked in three category 11s all next to each other on deck 7. We decided to go without verandahs and save some money this time. We did the double dip Magic last October and ended up spending very little time in our staterooms.

This will be cruise number 12 for us (we have been on 9 so far and have October 13th Eastern scheduled and the May 08 Westbound PC Repo cruise).

Looking forward to meeting more dissers.

Favorite girl scout cookie is THIN MINTS. Yum Yum....

I am really excited about the repo too. We havent been on a cruise longer than 7 nights, so this will be a big deal for me. Right now it is only me, dd17 and twins dd/ds4 going on the repo until I find out my other dds schedules.

I am leaving my DH home for that cruise as well to take care of DD14 and DD12. (school does not end till the end of June)

It will be me and DS18 (just finished his freshman year in college) (God Willing) and two DS19 friends
