11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

We had similar trouble when I took the family for thier first trip to WDW, too. The exception was that one of the businesses that we had used our credit card/debit card at had been hacked and VISA shut down all cards used at that business within the past month.

We didn't discover it until we were at Mickey's Breakfast at the Contemporary and our payment kept being declined. I spent the next six hours trying to work with the bank and have some money expressed to another account while following the family around Animal Kingdom.

Unfortunately, the same thing happen to us on our next vacation (Poconos) too!!!

Now we pay off as much as possible beforehand and spread money between the accounts to ensure we are left out again.

In this day and age you would think things like that wouldn't happen! My parents are always on me to get travelers checks whenever we go anywhere....I tell them "people don't use them anymore!"...but maybe they are right!!

My friend leaves in 3 weeks for her Disney cruise...I am so jealous! I am just looking for cruise things to do to keep my excitment up!

Has anyone figured out the 90-day mark? I know we're still far away, but I want to mark it on my calendar so that I can be online making my Palo's, spa, and Flounder's reservations right away. Since I have to have Flounder's match all my others, it's going to be a pain.

105 day mark (for those in suites and/or have the romance escape plan) is Saturday, 09 August 2008.

90 day mark (for Castaway Club members) is Sunday, 24 August 2008.

75 day mark (for all guests) is Monday, 08 September 2008.

Does anyone know...If my ressies are linked with 2 other families, can we make seperate Palo ressies or do the adults have to go as a group? Better yet...can each room make a ressie for 6 so we can go 3 time?? Okay, I guess that is greedy.. got alittle carried away!!

Hey, I'm greedy too then. I'm hoping we can book dinner and my friends can book brunch. We did both on our last cruise, but DH and I managed to book the brunch as we left our dinner. We got lucky and there was an opening after our spa time but still at the same time we had Flounder's. Both were so amazing, I don't want to miss either.

Not sure, only info. I have is what I read on the boards. It also looks like we will be having new menus, definately excited about that!

DH is still hoping to have not only a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but the choice of prime beef and lobster (his two favorites).

I hope they keep lobster on the new menu. We're really looking forward to that. LOL, I had all my meals picked out from the old menus. We'll probably have to wait until the Magic gets back to doing normal itineraries to see what the rotations and menus are like.

They better. My DH may want to cancel if they take that off the menu totally. It doesn't have to be on Thanksgiving, but just lobster one day of the week would make him happy. That was his main reason for going for the 7-day over the others.

Oh that is so cool. I have been working on what kind of door signs we want to make. I didn't know about them on our last cruise, I felt left out. So this time I want to go all out. It's so cool looking at other Disers signs. Hope everyone had a wonderful East.

I have too many ideas for door signs. I don't want it to be too cluttered looking so I'm going to have to narrow it down to just a few.

Is anyone interested in making a DDTT graphic for all of us? I would, but I only have a very basic print program that doesn't allow me to do all the cool stuff I've seen on some other signs.

I just got home from work and there was a message on our answering machine from DCL---We've been upgraded from cat 9 to CAT 6! !!!! We now have a verandah. I quickly logged on to read the stateroom reports and they're all great. I am so excited.
