11/15/09 Wonder

Nope, didn't get to a single excursion. DH and DS did BUT the chop was so bad on the snorkel one Nick wouldn't get out of the boat along w/ about 3 other kids. :(

You'll never get me in a parasil but a Segway sounds fun! :goodvibes Oh and yes, as I said I LOVE LOGVE LOVE dolphins! I want to do one of those experiences again. When Sea World first started to offer them, we did it. Of course, I wouldn't fit into a wet suit now, but oh, the fun! LOVE dolphins! Do you have pix? :lovestruc

My family loved the Segway tour since they were able to get out of turtle speed, unlike the WDW segway tours. They've been wanting to try the off road segways for quite some time.

I think DBIL Shawn, niece Maddison, friend Darrin and DJ were on the 9:30AM snorkel tour.

You won't get me on a parasail either, I was watching all the kids at the beach. Luckily my middle sister was with me as my newphew fell asleep on me and my son stayed to keep track of his little boy.

I haven't looked at my pics yet, maybe I'll get to it next weekend.

I never met anyone but Mike and his gang as soon as we got dropped off at the terminal. I loved those Mickey Mouse shirts! My family loved the cruise. that first night was ROUGH!!! My DH and I laid in bed and watched The Golden mickeys in our room as we could not stand up. Our twins (now 11!!!) just loved the Lab. We could not get them out of there! And I loved CC. One son and I rented a kayak for $10 (bargain of the cruise) and got close to The Dutchman and ship. I can't wait to cruise again...need to start saving. What great service we had. Our room host was the fastest cleanerI have ever known!! And, we won $80 in Bingo!!!!

 And then DH and I thought it was a nice gentle rock to put is to sleep. I sure slept well that night. ;) He said it was absolutely nothing compared to what he'd felt on aircraft carriers. I only noticed us moving at all when we were hoofing it to and from the Bahamas. Guess everyone's internal gyrposcope is different. :thumbsup2 I wish I could have found you and given you my ginger gum. ;) Never needed it.

Glad you had a great time. :)

We had a few green people in our group the first and last nights too.

Never threw up more so that my head hurt. Ginger gum sounds good for the next though!

:( that so TOTALLY stinks.

Ginger gum was at Walgreens in the section near the earache/plug-motion sickness area. It looks like a white Chicklet. It's on the shelf all the way at the bottom near your feet. :) I went prepared just in case. (DH thought I overpacked...how WRONG he was) I didn't think I'd have issues but I'd never been on a BIG boat, Just large party boats and fishing boats.

Good luck next time! :thumbsup2

first night was a little rough for some of us, but we where all fine. After that first night I was good to go, that could be cause I grew up going out on my dads boat most of the summer. Love the water.

I have to agree that CC was the best part of the whole trip.

My two kids hated the club. Don't know why but everything DH and I planned we never got to do, except for the Rasul Message:lovestruc oh yes that was the best thing in the world:love: Need to do that again. The girl who helped us out she gave us about and extra 15 minutes. It was just awesome...

Just curious, anyone else book a future cruise while on board to get the discount and on board credit?

I was able to apply the discount to our Panama canal cruise in Jan 2011.

I agree the first night was a bit rough. My daughter needed to get some fresh air during dinner. But she was OK after. I asked someone working about the rocking and they said that night was probably the worst he's felt it on the ocean.

Claudia - thanks for the comments on the shirts. My family was getting recognized all the time. A stranger asked me at one point where my captain's hat was. Someone else asked my wife how the pictures turned out. It was wierd - but fun too.

ACDSNY - I wish I could have booked another cruise while on board. I'm curious what the discount/offer is. We would love to do another one but given the size of my family it's not something we can just plan on quickly. Lots of planning - making shirts etc.... When did you do the Dolphin encounter? I took the 3 oldest of mine on the first boat there and met "Andy". He picked on me.

ppony - I got a kick about reading about your 9yr old. I didn't even tell me kids about the arcade. But to be honest I didnt' think about it and none of us missed it. I did overhear a conversation of a chaperone finding a teenage girl just wanting to call her dad and made a $20 phone call. Yikes.

We did! We booked a 7 night for 11/13/2010!
for that sailing we got 10% off and a $200 onboard credit!

I didn't notice the ship being rocky at all on the first night :goodvibes I'm sorry for those who suffered though. DH always takes some sort of motion sickness medicine for the first few days to be on the safe side.

Thanks to all the FE exchange participants!!!! DH could not believe how creative everyone was!
And I have to apologize to one stateroom.... When DH was making the deliverys, he accidentally left one bag in the drawer, and did not notice until we started packing. So that is why you got yours a day late.
I'm so sorry about that.

OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
did any of you get a picture from the sail away party of the men doing the YMCA??
DH was the one in the leather hat and was too far away for me to see him at all. (except on the screen, and that did not photo well)

The discount was 10%, $200 OBC and 50% deposit. We did the afternoon Dolphin Encounter, 7 adults and 4 kids.

Congrats, you'll be cruising before us! :goodvibes

Well we did not hav e a chance to rebook. I really wish we did, but money was very tight.

Hey I'm on facebook all also. Mollie Herman Kessel Love to have you as my friend.

I wanted to thank everyone for their efforts (some hugs efforts) in doing eth FEs. It was hard to tell where some came from when my family got ahold of things before I did to see names attached. Mike, THANK YOU for the game. Wow that must ave ben hard to transport! I spenta lt of time in my suite so it was fun to have that. :goodvibes
We have the cute decorated crab shell on our tree now. :thumbsup2
Krysyne went WAY above and beyond for us. HUGE HUGS!!!
And thanks to everyone else. :grouphug: :flower3: Our oldest looked forward to the FEs every day. Not to mention having one made it easy to spot your door all the way down a corridor.

ACDSNY. you sweetie. ;)

Anthene, sorry, no pix here. We didn't go to the sail away aprty. As it was, our toddler caused sucha fuss at the muster, they let us go early. Which was cool in retrospect too for getting an elevator easily. ;)

DH says he doesn't want to cruise again, but maybe in 4 or 5 years, I'll be able to convince him again. I need 3 years at least.
