It was more the principle of the thing than anything. What the reporter said was airline reps have said to them that if they raise tickets costs, people stop flying, if they charge fees, then they keep flying. I'm not siure how much of that is true and how much is just their sunshine they like to blow. That holds water if for example, they charge the fees at separate times. I.E. ticketing and checking in your bags. you pay at one time for your flight and then months later, your bags. It's easier to swallow that pill than say $150 more at the time of purchase. I get that. They do need to remain solvent. But if the price of purchasing your ticket goes up at the actual purchase time, then their argument is moot. There will be a breaking point as with everything and they are going to do their best to push it to that.
SO. That's that. I paid my fees months ago so I obviously knew I had to bend over.
But I will not fly them again with this kind of policy being so sneakily hidden. It's a moral and ethical issue in my mind and that is where I WILL choose to boycott a company even fi it costs me more to fly elsewhere... which it won't because they are all competitive.
