WOO HOO!!!!! We just got pixie dusted!!

I just checked the status of our ressie to see if we had a room assignment yet (we were Cat 6 GTY), and there is a room number, 8502, which is a Cat 4 on deck 8, all the way forward on the starboard side, just aft of the bridge.

Congrats to all the recipients of the dust!

I too got a price quote from DU and NO we are not sailing on this one. I can't see spending that much for Alaska when I could get a suite for less on Princess or RC.

On another note...I can't believe how close we are getting. I need a vaca badly.

Started our t-shirts yesterday, and placed an order from Cafepress. They emailed to say they had already shipped. That was quick! Guess they didn't find the hidden Mickey or large ship that resembles the Magic. He He!

Hey Kids!! Well I guess we kind of got pixie dusted!We were assigned stateroom # 6511 (booked cat.12, this is an 11) and our friends received stateroom 6514 (booked 9,received 8). I am thinking ours is a sideways 11, which I think will seem more spacious and I am really happy to be so close to our friends and the adult pool!Heck I just happy that there are only 40 more sleeps till we fly to Florida! Good luck to everyone else!

Thanks for letting me know the room assignments came out yesterday. I'm going to join the Conga line John started as we also scored a cat 4 on deck 8! (8588) Mickey called this morning (woke my lazy butt up) and said he'd be working on the upgrade list I gave him a few weeks ago. Seems he's made a good start, so I might have to invite him over again for some more wine.

Yes, that is a sideways room. That is also our cabin on the Wonder for the PC cruise. Plus, you are right around the corner from us in 6311.

Boy, you are all getting loads of PD. Since I booked on points and we are in the same cabin both cruises (which I really do not want to see change) I am hoping that we don't get upgraded as I really don't want to move. Umm - did you all really hear me say that??? Odd, don't you think? On our Christmas cruise back in '01, we stayed in 8586 - loved it. Just too rich for my blood these days.

My first cruise, sailing with three other women, we stayed in 86??, right next door to the Walt suite. It was a wonderful cabin, but the sideways motion really bothered my head. I haven't stayed that high up since!

Pool and Gym done. Off to find something to do. Everybody have a lovely day!

Congrats on all the upgrades!! I don't forsee that for us as we have 2 adjoining cabins. I'm just happy to get on the boat at this point.

Must finish last part of FEs, make extender and possibly a couple shirts, and reserve a wheelchair for FIL. Good thing I work well as a procrastinator.

Has anyone been checking Hotwire lately? I'm trying to get the airport Hyatt, but they took off the # of reviews, so I can't tell if it's the right hotel (& only 3.5 stars are showing up vs 4, so maybe they changed that too?).

Well, no cabin number change pixie dust for us.

However, my new swimsuit did arrive last night - and after Mom makes a minor adjustment or two for me that will be one more thing to cross off the "cruise preparations" list!

I'm making serious headway through my FE gifts. Although I probably need to re-count how many to make we've had so many additions in the last couple weeks.

I started packing for DD(8) last night as I was replacing summer clothes with the winter ones & I am already stressing about the 50lb limit as just her clothes practically took up one whole suitcase! I have not even added shoes yet! I think perhaps I might have to be a little more selective and bring less stuff. It's not like she cares about what she's wearing, she's on Mickey's boat!

Hi all. Just realized there was a thread for this Double Dip cruise. We are booked on this as well. There will be four of us including our two children 4 & 2. This will be our first Disney cruise and are getting excited about it. We are going to the parks 2 days before the cruise staying at the CBR and then after the cruise staying at the POFQ for a few nights as well.

I browsed this thread and since its over 200 pages long that is allot of reading. Can someone provide the highlights? Is there a scheduled meet up? Parties?

Good morning everyone! All this Pixie Dust tells me our cruise is still nowhere near full. Strange since it is such an awesome itinerary. I got some more good news. The Cat 9 that we were assigned did not have a steamer trunk. I was able to call and get switched to a different Cat 9 that DOES have one and is also in a little better location. We are now in room 2584 . Good luck to the rest of you. Hopefully this is just the first wave of PD.
