Woobie, welcome to our crazy crew of cruisers (or crew of crazy cruisers, if you prefer). We are also waitlisted for early dining. Had late last cruise and it was just too late for the kids. Speaking of which, our DS is also 10 (will be 11 by cruise time) and our DD will be 8. Hope to see you at the cruise meet.

Thank you so much for your outpouring of concern. So far DSis is uncut, DW is appreciative, stressed, and busy, and I've been out with the dogs every night so far. I had no idea big black dog could shoot pool so well, so we might try darts tonight. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks! I will be relaxing right after the second wedding (DS#1 October 3rd). And then I will just carry that happy feeling onto the ship with me.

Congratulations! I know how you feel, I just went through that this past july 26 with my youngest one. Now we are exspecting a new one in the house in Feb. not sure what it is yet. But I'm happy for them. This will be my second grand child. Enjoy the festivities,and hold on tight till Oct. then it starts all over again. then will the house be empty? .

Ya! I finally hit my 10th post, so now I can PM people. And get more info. about the cruise to thing's I don't under stand. I will be glad when we get on the way. cause I'm getting really excited. This is my first cruise and I can't wait, now if I can get kim motivated like I am, it will be great. But we again have a set back. I don't know how she did it, but she did she broke her leg down by the ankle and is in a soft cast. and out of work for a bit. but she is strong and will probably be back before time.she is won to not be out of work.

ouch! Sorry to hear about the broken bone! dh had one a couple years ago and was out of work for a long time because his foot was too swollen to get a steel toe shoe on. He was getting stir crazy by the time he went back.

It seems DSis only had a mildly broken heart, so the surgeons were able to fix her up fairly easily. The deed was done yesterday am, with no complications. All is almost as it should be in South Carolina. As DW is in no hurry to come home (dang, how do you make these icons invisible?), our boys might be getting more than they bargined for. Oh well, with them both being home schooled it makes no difference where they are, as long as they have net access. Sure, I miss my family, but....

And there is a reason why they call them dogs. First I caught them cheating at darts, then, with that sly dog grin, medium dog suggested cards! So thanks for the heads up. They WILL be going to the back of the line. Here I thought I'd be living it up this week, but no, I'm stuck with a couple of 'win at all costs' animals who act as though I made up my own title or something. So at least some of the news is good. Maybe we'll try chess tonight.

Well, it is pretty empty now. DS#1 lives here in a townhouse here in town, DS#2 lives in an apartment in Grand Rapids (about 90 minutes away) and DS#3 is a college student so is gone most of the time - plus he works at Boy Scout camp in Clare (about 45 min away) during the summer so we don't see much of him. Actually, DH is working there too so they are only around for Sat. afternoon and evenings before they head back on Sunday mornings. That just leaves the dog and me. Very quiet but funny how clean things seem to stay.....

Naw, those dogs of mine aren't nearly as slick as they try to be. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how I lost that game of pool last week went we played for several hours. NOBODY is that lucky, even when I stand straight up and shoot one handed (w/ either hand). So I had my eye on them from the start. One of them tried last night to do the inept 'reach for a beer & knock the table over' routine, but I was ready for it; I recorded each move to easily re-set the board. After that they both gave up and went into the backyard to dig holes.

So everything is under control, even though I'm so so lonely (I really got to stop thinking like this)

Glad to have you and your family aboard with us! There are links in Hypermommy's signatures to links dealing with the FE exchange and the Saturday DISMeet. In a nutshell, the FE exchange is the exchange of little gifts between staterooms occupied by DISers. Just little things like notepads, candy, keychains, etc (think of the kind of things that you can get from Oriental Trading). We will have the stats on how many people, ages, and genders, so you can target your gifts accordingly. Then during the cruise on the day of your choosing, you wander the halls using the stateroom chart provided at the Saturday DISMeet and drop off your FE gifts.

Thanks, Becky. I know what the FE is, just wondering about how many participating on this cruise, ages, dollar limit, etc. My DH is SO not into this stuff, so it makes it less fun. We'll see. I plan on sending down diapers/wipes, etc ahead of time, so a lot will depend on space.

I'll try the links again, but I wasn't successful before. I love the countdown signatures. Helps me so I don't have to figure it all out. LOL

Keep in mind that it's 12:01 Eastern time, so make sure to adjust for your time zone. Also, August 16th is Day 90, not Day 105. So, as a Castaway Cay member, you're booking window opens at Day 90. However, if you are in a Cat 1-3 or have booked an REAS package, then you get to book at Day 105, which is August 6th.

Holy cow! How did that get here so quickly? Time has dragged terribly since I originally booked back in May, 2008. Now time is screaming by and I haven't finished my list yet!
