Hi everyone - This is Richard (I'm the person that started this thread... Check post #1, on page #1 :) ). Anyway, Just checking in and wanted to make sure you've got us included on the list you have.

It'll just be my wife and I on the cruise (We have no kids!).... and this is our 5th Disney Cruise. We're slated for LATE DINING (I hope it does not change). I don't think we're dressing for pirate night, but you never know. :)

Not sure on the FE's and gifts. The wife does not want to do it, but I might. Just put us down as a no for now, and I'll update later.

Also, what get together on Saturday?

We'll probably stay at the Radison the night before the cruise. I'm going to try and make a ressie in the next week or two for that.

Dude!!! Great to see you again. Hope you don't mind that we sort of took over your thread! That's just the type of person I am... if I see something that needs to be done I often just jump in and try to do it. And since I can never say no that means I end up with WAY too many things on my plate. But somehow I survive.... I figure I'll sleep when I'm dead.

I'll try to remember to get your info in the spreadsheet, but do send me a PM when you can. Include your email addy in it and I'll get you access to the spreadsheet and the private board.

Speaking of the private board, y'all come on over and join the Acro game over there. It's easy and fun! Basically, you have to take the letters of the last word of the previous entry and make a new sentence or phrase out of it. Just read a few of the posts and you'll see what I mean. Lots and lots of fun! Of course, the theme of the phrases seems to be cruise related.... wonder how that happened :rotfl2:

Okay... back to work for me. The boss just yelled at me (and she's (me!) is a real pain in the butt... just ask KC... I'm sure he'll be happy to tell you all about it).

Sorry - I'm slow. Just read mousemom's post about stingraycity/reef/rum point excursion through Native Way. I think I might want to do this instead. Has anyone done either of these so I can make a comparison? Which would be better with a 3 (almost 4 year old) boy?

We have done both tours with Native Way. Our first (and my favorite) was the Rays, Reef and Rum Point but on our second trip to GC, I thought we should see something of the island itself so we did the tour that included the rays and the city/island tour. We spent much more time with the rays on the RRRP tour than on the other and if that is what you are looking for, that one would be my suggestion. The staff is awesome as well. We had children younger than your DS so as long as he likes the water, it would be fine.

Here's the info from the spreadsheet as it currently stands:
...

1 child (age 8) whose name isn't gender specific
...
Hypermommy-
Don't know if you're talking about DS (8) with the name Dakota :) Thanks!!! I'm trying to think out what FE gifts to make... My DH thinks I'm crazy.

I booked our Grand Cayman excursion today. The Rays, Reef, and Rum Point excursion with Native Way Watersports. If 10 or more people from our group sign up, then they will give us $5 off per person. Right now, there are 8 that are going (the Mouse family and xxcell's family), so we're close. That means it would be $57.50 per adult and $45 for children under 10, and includes lunch. This is the cash price - if you pay by credit card it is 4% more. You do not need to give them a credit card # to book it, you actually pay on the boat.

If you want to book this, you can email them at nativway@candw.ky or call them at 345-916-5027. After 6 pm eastern, call them at 516-394-4365. Be sure to specify that you are with the Becky Johnson group for the Rays, Reef, and Rum Point excursion on Tuesday, November 17th.

Click here for the excursion page on their website. They will pick us up at the tender dock and return us there as well. You do not have to snorkel, you can just hang out on the boat and watch if you are more comfortable with that.

You will all have an awesome time. Also remember that they only take about 25 people on their boat so you will not be on a "cattle car" excursion. And even though we have done it, I am tempted to book it again.

The description doesn't say anything about pick up and drop off at the port. Is that extra cost or included in the excursion price? And what do you mean about hanging out on the boat while others are snorkeling? Doesn't the tour drop you off at the beach and you snorkel off the shore?

I'm checking with DH. It may be a fun way to celebrate DD's birthday.

It's in the FAQ here. Also, when I booked I spoke to Sharon, one of the owners, who confirmed the pickup at the tender dock. It is included in the excursion price. There is a snorkel stop at Barrier Reef after you do Stingray City and before you go to Rum Point. Lunch (included in the excursion price) is served at Rum Point and you have about 1- 1 1/2 hours to hang out at Rum Point before you get back on the boat to head back to Georgetown.

Here is a copy of the confirmation email that I received:

Pleasant Greetings from Grand Cayman...and thanks for contacting us!
