Cheers,

Awesome news on the JB tickets...fantastic! I am so tired of waiting for flights to open for November...its driving me crazy! I think the airfare wars are going to pay off, at least I hope so!

I know exactly how you feel. I'm waiting for Southwest. On April 14th, they open through 10/31. Aarrrg. My guess is that they will open November sometime in June. However, the airfare wars really haven't been extended into the fall yet, but I sure hope they continue!

YES, me too!! I check every day - hoping for some good news - Air Tran has a great rate going down on Nov. 11th ($72. one way) but haven't released their rates for Nov. 22nd!! How frustrating!! Here's hoping that it will be soon!!

Okay, could everyone hear the screams of joy coming from my DD8 when she opened the envelope containing the Jonas Brothers ticket?!?!?:scared1::scared1:

She screamed herself hoarse - it was pretty funny - my DH captured it on tape so I'm thinking I might put it up on YouTube. I'll post the link so you can also partake in the shear joy on her face!

Cheers,

Please do! I love surprises

Hi everyone! We will be joining you all on this Double Dip cruise. :cool1: I just called DCL last night and booked.

We just recently sailed on the Eastern to St. Croix from Feb 28 - Mar 7, with a total of 14 extended family and it was beyond awesome!! First cruise for all of us and I am now hooked.

While on board, DW and I took the plunge and bought into DVC (we had been considering it), and one of the incentives for the amount of points we bought was a free 7-night cruise in a Cat 9. For a nominal upgrade fee we are now in a Cat 6 (same as last cruise).

This cruise will definitely be special for us... mainly because it is free, but also DW will be celebrating a birthday on board (and I don't think I am allowed to say which one ;)), DS will now be old enough for Ocean Quest and DD will now be in the Lab instead of the Club.... AND we are now Castaway Club members.:banana::banana: Also, last time, the Castaway Cay day went WAAAAAAY too fast... and now we get TWO!!!! :cloud9::beach:

Last cruise, we had a super group of people in the cruise meet thread that helped the time go by faster. From the little I have read so far, this looks like it will be the same. I can't wait to participate and get to know you all.

Gotta run for now, but I will be on lots to get all the info (like FE's and whatnot). Guess I have to go get another ticker for my siggy.

:welcome: Fellow Canadian!!

So glad that you have decided to join us!! Check out DDD Info: Spreadsheet data - Post 1143; Secret Mickeys - Post 1076 for more info about this great group!! We've even got a website goin'!! Hypermommy will get you hooked up!!

We are also looking at DVC and I might have to pick your brain about it (as a Canadian purchaser)!! We are travelling with a DD8 and a Niece9 who will also be in the Lab so maybe we can hook them up!!

Cheers!!

party: Welcome to the Double Dip Cruise! And welcome to the cruise-addicted! There should be a special rebooking line for the DISer's onboard 'cause you know that we'll all be there. :lmao:

DD10 and I will both be celebrating our birthdays on the cruise and DH and I will be celebrating our anniversary. So lots of partying to go around :yay:

There are a bunch of kids the same age in this group, so it will be great for them to have friends aboard. :dance3:

Can't wait to get our party started!!

:welcome: The RookieMouse Family! I can hear it now! Glad to have you joining us. And I totally agree - DCL is like potato chips - you can't have just one.

Just popping in to say hi again fellow mates so that Our Family is not forgotton. :thumbsup2 It has been a few months. Happy to see you guys keep us on the first 2 pages always. We are planning to book on the new ship as well, but have not forgotton about this sailing. :goodvibes

I have not caught up on the thread as it is a lot of reading, but I did see a welcome to RookieMouse. Didn't we cruise together b4?:confused3

Awesome to have you all! I think we may see a huge spike in our numbers...what do you all think? The more the merrier! I have started my FE stuff so I better plan on a few dozen more it sounds like...

Binky, gotta see your YouTube post...let us know! Any plans for the weekend? We have another Santa Ana and it looks like the temps may hit the 80's...bring it!:worship:

Hiya Tink!!! We TRIED to cruise before... on the Bushwhacker Banditos' cruise... but you guys went to WDW instead, I think. The cruise was awesome, as you probably already heard from Johnna, Brenda and Donna... and my family successfully subbed in for yours by being late for stuff ;)

John

Hello All,
I am spending my Saturday night on the computer, yet again! Hubby is watching a movie, kids are all tucked in and I am cruise planning! Anyone else awake?

We are on mountain time... we are north of Montana. We just booked Thursday night, so we haven't even looked at shore excursions or anything yet. We are going to spend 3 nights before the cruise at BLT, which will give us 2 days at MK.

Last cruise, DS and I did the parasailing at CC, then I went fishing with my brother and 2 brothers-in-law, so didn't get any beach or snorkeling time. That will change this time around.

What do you have planned?

Well...DH and I are sailing with our two youngest, DD8 and DD5. Our two oldest are in college and have the "been there done that" approach to DCL. So one cabin will be a new thing for us...anyhoo, we are flying in 2 days ahead. We will be going to MK on Friday. We haven't decided if we are onsite or offsite yet. Still waiting to see if Disney throws us a bone so to speak...We are looking into Buena Vista Suites if we are offsite. We are also considering driving down to the port Friday night and staying at Marriott's Residence Inn. Why would we do that you ask? Well...MK closes early due to the big Christmas party that will cost us an extra $200+. Definitely not worth it to us. We have done many of the extra parties at DL and are not interested in anymore.

We are planning on the Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel for our excursion. As long as Cozumel is not in any danger of drug lord infiltration/violence, we will stay with that...

I am really looking forward to two stops at CC. Last cruise our youngest was in need of a nap during peak beach hours, so I had to take her back to the ship. Not this trip!

Our last trip was with 20 other family members. It was a hoot to say the least! This time we are on our own and it will be different. First trip without the older two.

We don't have flights yet since the schedules haven't been released. Hoping to score on the airfare wars but we will see...that's about it. I think I'm pretty prepared. Bought new luggage, a few misc things here and there. Starting to think about the wardrobe...who are you traveling with this trip?
