Gosh, we just just got off the Magic last Saturday 03/28 and I'm missing it so bad. So, come on November, hurry up and get here already. I don't want to wish the summer away either but I want to go back now. Actually I felt that way about five minutes after we were off the ship. I kept asking my mom if they would notice if we stayed onboard.(a person can try can't they?) I guess after booking our airline this morning we are now one step closer though. The funny thing is, after taking care of the airline this morning, I called my mom and was telling her about it and mentioned to her that I checked out an eastern cruise for December 2010 and before I could finish what I was telling her, she said "BOOK IT!". WooHoo Now we have another cruise to look forward to.

Lucky you! We have cruised in December twice and it is great. The weather is great and the ship will be all decorated. I am just going to patiently wait for them to release 2011 and hope for the Wonder repo. Fingers crossed.

There is some speculation on the main board that the Wonder repo may be a Christmas repo. Wouldn't that be cool? I'd seriously think about doing it. It would probably be uberbucks, though. Our family really wants to do a repo, but we are limited by the girls school schedule. They don't get out until mid-June which wouldn't work for a typical May repo.

Denise, I'm up in Washington in a suburb of Seattle. So our quick Disney fix is a trip to Disneyland. It's cheap and easy just to fly down the coast to LA, and now it will be great that we can do a cruise out of LA too.

Cool yes but it would knock me out of the loop as I can't afford Christmas week pricing, especially if I decide that we are going to do something at Christmas time next year with the family. But I do agree that DCL might try to schedule them during school breaks. NOT that I don't love my kids because I do, but it sure is easier travelling with just DH and not worrying about school.

I e-mailed our TA at Dreams Unlimited today and asked her to let me know as soon as the Wonder repo cruise is announced. We'd love a cruise thru the Panama Canal, and a flight home from LA is a lot quicker than one from Orlando.

I also called DVC Member Services yesterday and we are booked into a 1-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower for the 3 nights before the cruise. The plan is to veg at the resort pool most of the first day and do MVMCP that night, then spend Friday at the MK as well.

The Wonder repo would be so cool to do. My Mom has always wanted to sail through the Panama Canal. Getting off work for that long would be difficult for both of us. I keep telling my mom when she is ready to retire we are going to take a cruise of any length she desires and my boss can just deal with it. Actually he probably wouldn't say anything because he is out of the office doing things for his wife more than he is here. Trust me she is a real piece of work and he knows what everybody says about the situation but he has to keep her happy I guess.

I just emailed Tracy yesterday I think and was added to her list. I need to get back to working full time to pay for my DCL addiction - must be I worked 3 days a week to live and 2 for Disney and I am surely missing those 2 days!

I think I'm going to e-mail Tracy too - it certainly can't hurt to get put on a list and a Repo would be awesome!! Even if the kids are taken out of school, it would be a great learning experience for them (well, that's what I keep telling myself!)

Still can't seem to get the main Cruise boards to work for me - I guess I'll have to wait until in-house Tech Support gets back from his Tae Kwon Do class.

Isn't Tracy awesome. We sailed together on the Southern several years ago. Sorry I can't help with the main boards - I have not had any problems and I have been on more today than I should have - still have not gotten the dishwasher unloaded but I guess it isn't going anywhere.

Actually, at your kids age I wouldn't hesitate to take them out of school to travel (and I don't ). Our problem is that our oldest DD will be in middle school starting in 2010 and our school frowns on taking them out for lengthy vacations once they start middle school. We'll be gone for practically the whole month of November this year between WDW, DCL and then visiting family in NC for Thanksgiving. It's sort of our last big Hurrah before we have to start vacationing with the masses in the summer.

I was "there" with the :laundry: earlier this week but got that taken care of. I still have silverware to put away and then load it back up again.

Wonder repo cruise - I tried reading some of the thread on the main board and gave up. In the past they have been 14 or 15 day cruises but I don't remember where any of them stopped. My guess would be almost a western (I do know they stop at CC for sure), through the canal and then the stops they make on the Mexican Riviera trips.

Okay, if it's anything like the last Westbound Repo from Summer 2008, it would probably be 15 nights and the itinerary might look something like this:
Saturday - Leave Port Canaveral
Sunday - CC
Monday & Tuesday - At Sea
Wednesday - Aruba
Thursday - At Sea
Friday - Through Panama Canal
Saturday & Sunday - At Sea
Monday - Acapulco
Tuesday - At Sea
Wednesday - Puerto Vallarta
Thursday - Cabo San Lucas
Friday & Saturday - At Sea
Sunday - Los Angeles (Port of San Pedro)

So I floated the idea by my DH last night and he said "If you're working, we can go" (I'm currently a SAHM but have started looking to return to work - trying to hold off until September when DD3 will be starting JK). So I quickly jumped at the chance and sent an e-mail to DU to get me on that list!!

Now of course, my mind is racing.....

All this talk of the repo - I so want to go. Did anyone notice there is a meets thread already? I made a comment and we shall see. If they open ressies while we are on board - what a great way to get the onboard discount and take some of the pinch out (well, I bet it is more than a pinch - just so it isn't a steamroller).

I would LOVE to do an extended trip with DCL. I think I may be emailing Tracey too...she has been great so far and I look forward to working with her more in the future...

We did the Southern 11 night on the Wonder and longer IS better in my book. A great deal will depend on pricing and the date. I could also consider using points. We will just have to see how it all plays out. But, there are no scheduled weddings or graduations during 2011 so I should be good.

I find it odd that I can't be happy with the back 2 back I have booked for this year but the fact that I have to think about a repo in 2011.

Picked up some Tinkerbell fabric this week and some clearance iron-ons. I'm going to make 2 tote bags for the 4 girls with sand toys and send them ahead in my box of "stuff". And I'm trying to figure out my FEs as well. My BIL and family (who we will be travelling with) are coming up for Easter next weekend so I'm sure we'll make some more plans (like maybe excursions).

I'm starting to get excited again (it comes in waves).....

Happy Monday! It sure is fun to think about that repo cruise. Easter is April 24, 2011 so I do hope they stay away from that - it will only bring the price up. It sure is fun to think about.

Not much else happening. Our snow is melting and we are not getting hit as hard as the southern part of the state with this new storm. Sorry for them but good for us!

With all the talk on the main DCL forum of the Kids Sail Free offer that some CC members have received, has anyone thought about switching to summer? I had never even considered a summer cruise because the prices are so much higher, but the idea of not worrying about DD7 missing school or having to do any homework onboard is appealing. Of course there are drawbacks to booking for summer this late in the game...probably more people (kids) onboard, no hope at early dinining, poor selection of staterooms, airfare deals gone, some early summer sailings will have already have pre-booking of Palo & excurions open and maybe full. I guess I just talked myself out of it! (Not that I have received the pin!)
I would suspect if they are having this much trouble filling the ships in the summer, then there will be some sort of deals available on fall cruises as well.
