:scared1: That's right. Count 'em. 6 ships will be in port in Cozumel the day we visit. I was just noodling around on the web and found the site where you can check the ships that will be in port with you, so I checked out Grand Cayman and Cozumel. There will be 3 in port in Grand Cayman, but just about fell off my chair when I checked Cozumel. We'll be joined by the Norwegian Dawn, Carnival Fantasy, Carnival Imagination, Carnival Legend, and Crown Princess.

If you are booking non-Disney excursions, I'd do it sooner rather than later.

Wow, That seems like alot, though it should look nice.

You think we will have any trouble making our 11 am Royal swim?? especially if we have to tender. IDK,how many ships can dock pierside in Cozumel.

Thanks again for telling us about the May discount.
My DD(9) is so excited about meeting your dd, and the other dd's, and a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER :bday:

Oh, yeah, More ships, means more cheering people when the Magic blows her Disney themed horn. I love that.

I looked it up and the Cozumel piers can accomodate 9 cruise ships simultaneously, so we will be docking rather than tendering. We're scheduled to arrive in Cozumel at 9:30, so we should be fine to make our 11 am Royal Swim. It's only about a 10 minute taxi ride from the pier to Chankanaab.

I just love how the Magic wins the Battle of the Horns hands down!

Thats the first time I have heard it called that, but it brought a smile to our faces. Ye, no one comes close to that battle.
Great news on the Royal swim. I am a bit of a worrier, that is until we board the ship. then it's goodbye hectic world, hello MICKEY & FRIENDS.
Just for clarification, our DD's birthday is in two weeks, she'll be 10 and our DS will be 16 by the sail date.
Gotta find some activities for him. Teenagers, give you the old whatever.
I think he is Mainly looking forward to the breakfast buffet at Topsiders, custom made omelet.
We are near the back of the boat, so if you see a husky teenager salivating near the breakfast bar thats him-LOL. :dancer:

PS- I hope, I don't write too much on the boards, I don't want to be dubbed a Dis Forum spammer:guilty:

xxcell...you crack me up!!! Disboard spammer made me lol! My boys had a lot of fun on the ship ordering room service. They thought they were royal or famous!!!

I'm glad we booked the excursion already. I just got an email from dolphindiscovery and they want me to prepay my 4 year-olds entry into Chanakanab. I thought that was a bit odd...anyone else have an email?

I'm going to DL tomorrow with a friend mine for dinner at Napa Rose and the Grand Californian. She had a voucher so she invited me! Should be yummy! I'm shopping at Downtown Disney with her...anyone need anything?:surfweb:

I also have a DD 10 who will turn 11 2 days before we sail, so it sounds like your DD will fit right in between mine. I'm sure the girls will get along famously as they all love the Mouse!

Just to get us in the spirit, here are links to some Battle of the Horns:

Happy Birthday to your little one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our girls will get along great! Sarah turned 8 last month!

Uh-oh... we could be in trouble. MY Sarah turns 8 a month before the cruise. Mickey's boat could find itself under the control of a bunch of 8-year-old girls :scared1:

Gimme a drink of the day and a lounge chair by the Quiet Cove Pool and I won't stress over it though!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to all our "south of the border" friends.

Sorry its been awhile since we've been on the board. I haven't forgotten you all. Between work ,my son and school, and a new boyfriend (Ray). My free time is short. I needed to say :wave2:to you guys and let you know that I am not dead. Di thinks I don't want to go. But I really do, I just got a little depressed :sad1: Now that I am back to being me. The cruise is #1 on my to do list. I just need to work all the overtime that I can. We need spending money. Also I would like to :welcome: the new Families :disrocks:

 (Kim)

Could you imagine? As it is, our vacation is practically controlled by a 4 year-old and 8 year-old!

 That's way too scary to contemplate. Oh, but wait, that's the Lab counselors' problem. :lmao:I'll be hanging with Rookie by the pool with (several) DOD.

Hey, Save me a spot by the Adult Pool (oops, sorry - no saving) cause my 8 (turning 9 on the cruise) year old DD will be part of that gang in the Lab - :rotfl::rotfl:. and my 4 year old will be running the counsellors ragged too - better them than me!!

Kim - glad to see that you found your way back to us - I was worried that you might not be joining us after all!?!?!?

Cheers to our American friends!!

Lisa

Ok, so I am set for the Dolphin Royal Swim. Any suggestions for my DS(16)?

Thanks

How about the zipline? I think Hypermommy's DH and DS16 are doing that one. If my girls were older, we'd definitely consider doing that.

Yeah, we are doing it through Disney, it's at a place called Adventure Park. Since I don't zip I'll be sipping refreshing beverages from the beachfront bar while the boy zips & climbs to his hearts content. I'm sure I'll have to pay a separate admission, but it should still be a fun time. Please consider this as we'd love to have new friends to share it with.

....And yet another 8 year old girl to contend with! Our daughter Cassie is turning 8 November 11 at WDW!princess: Our neighbours across the street have an 8 year old girlprincess: who will be setting sail with us as well as our best friends who have a daughter who will be 7 on the cruise. princess:I am thinking the kids club might get a little loud! Thank goodness for the QUIET Cove Pool! Is there any room left for me?:confused3

Ok, is anyone keeping track here? I'm thinking Disney might have a limit on 8-year-old girls... I know I do... my limit is usually 1, maybe 2. After that, they can go play outside.

We will be arriving at WDW on November 11th as well. First visit home to our DVC digs at Bay Lake Tower. Are you planning on going to MVMCP while you are there?

John

We have definitely considered this although I dont know if snow on main street, hot chocolate & cookies justifies the extra $$$. :confused3 This vacation is already costing alot of money with a week at the world followed by the cruise not to mention the staterrom expenses( this was $1000.00) for us last time not including excursions!:scared1: Some of the reviews I have read say that it is not worth the extra cash. Are you guys going?

We decided not to because we didn't think that the snow, cookies, etc were worth the cost. We'll have 10 days at the World before the cruise, so I think we'll get our Disney fill just fine without it.

Hi John-

We are! (And my travelling party is an 8-year-old free zone - although we don't mind borrowing some from our DisBoard friends during meets!) :rotfl: I think BigJack's party is planning to go to MVMCP and maybe Binky's... Maybe when we get closer we can set up a time/place to watch fireworks or the parade together - a mini-meet before the cruise!

I hope they find a place to show Mickey's Night Before Christmas now that the Galaxy Theater is gone. I love that show!

Michelle

What happened to the Galaxy theatre? It was there in January, just not being used!

I'm sending my adventurous husband on the Zip line adventure. I think I'll just stay on the ship and go to the spa, lol
