We're playing the 'this time next week' game in our household!!!

This time next week, we'll be taking off on the second leg of our flight to Orlando!!

So am I! today I was talking about I will be on the plane,, we will be arriving in Florida now...etc.

This must be a popular game... we started it last night when I was taking Tristan out for a few last minute things. What a fun game it is!

Although I'm not going with you all I wish you all good health and beautiful weather I hope everyone arrives safely and you all have a magical cruise!

My parents Judie and David Small in cabin #2646 will not be coming on the cruise after all. My father has been in the hospital for three weeks and is hoping to be able to go home this Sunday. However, he doesn't feel confident leaving the country right away. Anyway....if someone could please erase their cabin from the FE list. Thank you!

I can't say too much what a wonderful job you did on the Navigator. I just printed the final version and can't believe how helpful it is going to be. I just love that deck plan page!

On another note - A long way back ( I tried to look ) someone had called to determine if the Magic was going to be decorated for the Holidays and I thought they were doing it on our trip. I just read on the main boards that its going to be the 21st. Does anyone have any memory of this?

Hi Lisa,
I thought I read that the ship will be decorated the week of our cruise. When we cruised in 2006 same week, the tree was up and most of the decorations were up too...

I just read an update on the national weather service site...looks like IDA is a hurricane now. However, it may lose strength still. It should be interesting to say the least. I thought we would be nice and toasty warm, sunning our pastey white skin...we fly in on Wed. when they say it should be down graded to a tropical storm.

Excited for all those who started cruising today, back to back that is incredible.

Added dd8 to the cruise, so if anyone has a dd that age, hope my dd can make a new cruise friend. So now it will be me, dh, dd8, dd6, ds6.

We all got our h1n1 vaccines today.

Less than a week now and we will all be cruising!

DCL called today to book our Palo (free Platinum) picked Thursday night. Anyone else booked then?

Happy thoughts to everyone. Guessing our weather here is going to be rainy this week but hopefully sunny for port on Saturday

Usually we are about done with all this tropical stuff by now.

Rookiemouse - Ultra Cool Pictures of the Olympic Torch!!! How exciting!! It will be coming thru Ottawa Dec. 12/13/14 so we'll have to make the effort to go out and see it too!!

I'm not worried about the weather either - there is nothing I can do about it and I figure it's way warmer than here (we had snow on Thursday).

Getting ready to take DH to the airport for his trip to Sweden. It's even colder there!!

I'm so sorry to hear of your dad being sick. I'm glad he's out of the hospital and getting better. Prayers and pixie dust headed that way!!!!! And definitely the right decision. There'll be other cruises, but health is so much more important.

Yep, that's what I did grey for. I don't know why I didn't delete that row. Probably just in case I was incorrect. But that's what grey meant.

I hear you! The very first thing I do every morning is check the weather. Today I got the good news of only partly cloudy on Sat at the port, but it is showing a 60% chance of rain on Sunday in the Abaco Islands (CC). I wonder if we wont be having our DD after all? I'm so stressed!!

Ha!!! I don't care if there's a hurricane slap on top of me, I'm going to Serenity Bay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I for one am not worrying about the weather for two reasons:

1. There's not a darn thing I can do about it, so why worry?

2. We are coming from below freezing temperatures and snow on the ground. Being in Florida and the Caribbean is bad how?

We had a very special evening here last night. The Olympic Torch Relay for the Vancouver 2010 games was in our community last night.

#1, I sure wish I could be more like that about things I can't do anything about!!!!

#2, what a cool thing for your kids to have seen! They'll remember that forever!!!!

Okay, gotta run... still working on making FEs. I wonder if I'll be done by the time we cruise. Well, if not I guess I'll be bringing the stuff and will finish making them at the port!

I called Disney and the cast member told me they would be working on it all day up until we pulled away at 5. She double checked the "schedule" it is planned to happen on the 14th of Nov. She thought the lobby area would be done by the time they have us board....!!!!!!

I made a few christmas door decorations...What a great way to start off the holiday season!

OK... This has NOTHING to do with the cruise or Disney, but I have to share how exciting my day was today. I'm a children's author. I had an event at a zoo today (reading & signing). There is a porcupine in my book, so they arranged to have one in the gift shop where I was signing. I got to hold a porcupine pup while I read the book to the kids!!! He was SO cute. He was born this summer, so he was little. He's still bottle fed, so he sucked on my finger a good portion of the time. LOL I can't imagine having an experience like this again. One of my sons got to come with me, too (of course it wasn't the one that loves animals & wants to be a zoo keeper, but that's OK).

The Olympic torch would have been awesome, too. How cool that you and your kids got to do that!
