A Castway Cay 5k?? WOW!! I can walk it.. running is NOT gonna happen for this lady..

They also have a Island Power walk that meets at 9:30am and starts at 9:45am - the meeting area is near the showers.

I'm going to release Cabana number TWO...nice location. PM me if you are interested and we will try to coordinate.

I believe that 2.5 laps equals 1 mile.

Aww bummer, if you were releasing the cabana for this cruise that would have totally made day. I have been obsessively checking for cabanas multiple times a day. I'm starting to drive myself crazy LOL

Hi everyone it has been over 2 years since I sailed DCL so I need a refresher on internet and cell phones/texting. So it is probably roaming everywhere once we leave Florida a bit to use cell or text correct? Is the interent still buying package down in internet cafe area or is there wi fi you can buy for stateroom now? Just wondering what to bring, lap top, ipad etc or nothing

You can still buy packages of minutes on the ship.

Regarding cell usage, I'm only really familiar with iPhones.

You would want to turn off data roaming and voice roaming. That will insure that you don't accidentally start incurring charges but you might want to check with your carrier.

There's a Starbucks in Nassau, so you can get free Wi-Fi there.

Nope...we've got 10 people crammed into on for this cruise! Don't give up and be sure and get put on the wait list once you board!

It's challengeing. I'm not sure what to bring. We'll have our iPhones, but do I also want to bring the iPads or a laptop? The only reason for the laptop is to offload photos and videos to free up memory cards.

Now we found out a class my husband really wants to take is being offered that morning, Thursday at 8:30 am so we are thinking now we have to hurry off ship and get him to work ASAP, he was going to take day off, so we will have to bring lap top or leave it in car at port for sure.

The only reason for the laptop is to offload photos and videos to free up memory cards.

You can also do this at Shutters. They will put move your photos from your memory card to a CD for a small fee. Worth it if you don't have the space to bring the laptop.

Although, we normally do the 7 day cruise and I have yet to run out of space on our memory cards. We take 2 cameras - a small pocket one for running around the ship and then the bigger SLR for the purposeful pictures onboard and excursions. Each memory card hold several hundred pictures, so I haven't run out of space yet. We just make sure the cards are empty when we start the trip.

We had wanted to book a cabana for the last trip so our group would have a home base, and once you split the costs with that many people it wasn't too bad, except we were not allowed to because they said max of 6 or 8 - I can't remember. would love to have a dedicated CM to take care of you!

AFAIK, for a Serenity Bay cabana, 4 guests are included in the price quoted. You may, however, add additional guests for a fee of $50 per guest. Not quite sure what the maximum occupancy is, but I believe it was 10 guests.

On Family Beach, 6 guests are included in the cabana price, again with the option of adding more for $50 per guest.
