One question- which sounds better in Cozumel- Mr. Sancho's or Paradise Beach? DH just informed me he wants to cancel boat trip and stay on land in Cozumel. Is anyone going to strike out on their own by taxi to a beach or do a beach excursion thru DCL? Thanks for your input!

We've decided to get a taxi and head for Paradise Beach on our own. Don't know which beach is better, but we've heard good things about both, so we figure we can't lose either way.

My son is mildly allergic to salt water so most of our excursions will be limited to land.

Key West - Conch Republic Tour & Museum Package
Grand Cayman - Island Tour & Snorkeling with Stingrays
Cozumel - Tulum Ruins
Castaway Cay - I'm guessing a short look around & then enjoy a quiet ship

I'm going to try the snorkeling in The Caymans because I think he'd really love it! I'm going to give him some Benadryl before and keep lots of medicated lotion handy. I know most people go with Captain Marvins but Disney's tour (from what I've read) is mostly tour then a very short snorkel session. This worked much better for us. DS will probably only last 15 mins or so in the water.

We're really looking forward to Tulum but I do wish it wasn't so long. I'd love to explore a little and stop at Carlos & Charlie's for lunch.

HI all,

We are doing our own thing in Cozumel. I am looking forward to doing some shopping. I think my DH wants to relax and look around. We are doing a snorkeling excursion in the Grand Caymans, and will probably snorkel on our own at Castaway Cay, so I didn't book a beach excursion. They do have reviews on Cozumel's boards, so maybe read some of those to help make a decision. It's rainy and gray here today in Upstate NY. Inexpensive and looks fun. I heard a lot of good things about the Manager Tom and he replied to my thread right away in cruisecritic.com board.

A lot of great things in Cozumel so looks like will be a very hectic day.

It's our first Disney cruise, so we just booked whatever sounded fun!

Key West: Back to Nature Kayak Tour
Grand Cayman: Island Tour and Snorkeling with Stingrays (Kevin loves the sea creatures, I do not, so this is the compromise)
Cozumel: Dolphin Swim Adventure (booked directly with Dolphin Discovery - we wanted to swim with the dolphins, not just pet them)
Castaway Cay: No excursion, just relax on the adult beach!

4 weeks from now we will be on the plane!!!!

That sounds great! I don't remember reading anything about the meeting place being set! I do remember reading suggestions, but no set place.

I said I wasn't going to do it ... but I did it anyway I bought new stuff for the cruise. I bought some new tee's, 2 pairs of capri's and a dress for Formal night (that I'll also wear to my work Holiday Part). I bought some dress shirts for my kids and they both need new shoes and new ties What is it that they say about "best intentions". I think I need to buy a new suitcase too ... I'm pretty sure the one I use for the kids is broken. It's a darn good thing I work well under pressure. I always leave this **** til the last minute

Hi! Me and my DS5 are going! I recently started to work for Disney in Orlando, and really wanted to try a cruise! It will just be me and my son Spencer. I'm a single mom, but I researched these boards a bit and I think things should be fine. I am greatly looking forward to the relaxation (being a single mom)!! Any other single parents on board, I would LOVE to hear from you. One question I have is dining at Palo, I really want to. Are there others that could join me? I will be checking in more, just confirmed this 5 minutes ago that I was going. I really cannot wait!!!

yeah, we got the pack of paperwork today!!!!! It is getting sooooo close I can almost taste it .....Is everyone dressing up for the formal night? My dh and ds both have suits now and dd has a cute dress , I cant find anything that looks good .....

2- MYTINK1967 - Yep - Dressing up for formal night. I am going to buy a new dress and everything. I haven't had the chance to dress fancy in years and I'm very excited.

4- michlynb - I am also travelling with just my DS11. I have a table for 2 at Palo's for 10am brunch on Key West day. I would be more then happy to have company.

Sorry not to have mentioned that before.

Let me also add that our entire family will be dressing for Pirate night. I'm the only one so far without a costume. And as for formal attire...dh has his tux and I'll have my gown. My son attempts to resist looking "handsome" so a nice shirt and dressy shorts will be good enough for me!
