No docs for us yet all the way in CA! Maybe today...

Stairs all the way for me. I don't intend to see the inside of an elevator unless I am carrying luggage or wearing heels. Plus we scheduled a couple of active excursions so I'm hoping I won't need the loose-fitting clothes... my wedding dress is supposed to come in soon and I need to fit into it!!

would you believe our docs went to my travel agent who is on VACATION.. the company said they should be with me next week.. ugh!

We're in VA and haven't received our docs yet, either. I wonder if that's why we haven't heard from ours. Just out of curiosity, what TA are you using?

If you booked directly w/DCL you recieve the docs directly from them. If not you have to wait for DCL to send them to TA, then TA sends them to you. One extra step. I would imagine that everyone has them by next week. We booked directly thru DCL.

HI all!

You all have made me panic and call my travel agent to explain my lack of documents! He assures me that they will be here early next week. Scouter, you are too funny. I, too, had wonderful plans to exercise, eat less, etc. but the cruise is only a few weeks away, and I haven't lost much weight. What worries me is how much I may gain ON the cruise! The elastic waist suggestion was priceless! I will try and post a photo if I can figure it out. Technology is not my strong point! Also, trying to find a family photo with all 5 of us in it (and actually looking good) is difficult. I seem to be better at photographing other people's children, rather than my own! Does anyone know if the ship time and local time will be different in any of the ports? When I tried to book my Cozumel excursion, they said I needed to make sure I knew the ship time & local time, so that I made it at the right time.

Just checked out the packing list someone mentioned - I especially liked the tips for Disney Cruisers, what to put in your carry on bag, and the cruise tips in general (since this is our first ever cruise!). Claire

Does anyone know if the ship time and local time will be different in any of the ports? When I tried to book my Cozumel excursion, they said I needed to make sure I knew the ship time & local time, so that I made it at the right time.

The ship will be on local time for whatever port we stop at. One night your Navigator will tell you to turn your clocks back one hour and then later in the week they will tell you to turn them forward one hour.

So, that means that the times listed as port times are the local times? When it says we're in Cozumel from 10:30am-10:15pm, that is their local time? Which means if I have an excursion at 12pm Cozumel time, it should fit in with our time frame. I just want to make sure of this before I book! Thanks!

Suitcases are ready, clothes are in piles but no docs yet.... Can't believe it's 22 days away!! We can't wait!!

I have to get the suitcases out, and start putting the cothes in piles since it is finally starting to get chilly in NJ no need for shorts anymore. No docs for us either. The waiting is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 weeks today
All this talk about weight loss I set out with good intentions! DH has lost about 12 lbs. so good for him.
No sign of our docs yet, last time our TA sent them to WDW. My sister who travelled with us had no docs at all! She wondered what UPS had been trying to deliver to her the week before they left home. It wasn`t a problem when they got to port.
We`ve booked two snorkeling trips, one with Disney at Grand Cayman and the other at Cozumel with Eagle Ray Divers.

I just picked up name tags! I thought maybe I would print them up with
our screen names and have enough for each family with that screen name
and then when you get there you can add your real names to them.
They had pin on tags in a set with the paper so I thought I'd try something
nicer than just stick-ons. But I bought stick on ones also so that the little
kids won't accidently get pricked with a pin.

Ok, it's getting really close and we still haven't fully decided what excusions we're going on. What are you doing in each of the ports? This is what we're considering:

Key West--probably just walk around; I really want to see sunset at Mallory Square

Grand Cayman--unsure of the stingrays; maybe do an island tour and then stop at a beach on seven mile beach?

Cozumel--probably going to go to Chankanaab park. DS is studying the Mayan culture in school, so we'll get a taste of it by seeing the replica ruins.

Castaway Cay--we definately want to ride bikes and snorkle here.

That's also the time they gave me. I was hesitant on booking because of their bold warning about the ship time/local time, but now that I've found out about that, I think I will book with them.
