11/04/06 Anyone Out There Yet?

This is my first cruise so I really don't have much experience about DIS meets but I am a big fan of trip reports and most DIS'ers meet before the mandatory drill...around 3 pm.

For those that have received your cruise docs (I haven't), did you use a travel agent or book direct with DCL?

We received our docs today!

Last time we went on the Disney cruise we wore the lime green Mickey Mouse paint samples from Home Depot.

We used a TA and received them yesterday. You can call DCL and they can tell you the address they sent them to.

We booked while still on our last cruise (2 years ago). We just got our documents today.

Just over 2 weeks away - can't wait!

But, from reading all the posts, I'm a bit confused. When/where is the meet up? It looks like 3pm at the Goofy pool. Is that correct?

People were giving ideas about when/where/how to meet. I'm not sure that it's been put in stone, yet!

Hi [mostly] NJ gang!

I am one of a group of 33 coming from SC and NC (so a short drive on Friday by your standards).

I thought our group was big until I started doing some pre-cruise research/planning.......I guess I now know why it was so hard to get in Palo.

We are a mixed group of 2nd time cruisers (4 nt Wonder in 7/2004) and 1st time cruisers consisting of:
DW(me), DH, DS(9) and DD(6);
next door neighbor DW, DH, DS(4) and DD(14 mos)
another neighbor DW, DH, DS(7) and DD(3);
old neighbor DW - A Steelers Fan , DH, DS(6) and DD(4);
college friend (for 20 yrs!) DW, DH, DS(4);
another college friend DW, DH, DS(17), DS(8) and DS(4);
her in-laws and nephew DW, DH, DS(13);
her cousin DW, DH, DD(9) and DD(11);
AND her aunt and mother

My DS and DD are good friends with all of the young ones except one of the DS(4) but their ages may seperate them from the others when in the Club AND the older girl in the group is already feeling "alone"
.....she almost had a friend come along but since we are all having to miss 4 days of school .......
I am not really worried about mine (they are pretty independent) but some of the others may have a hard time so I thought I would see if there was room for a few more in your group.

Never hurts for the adults to know a few more people either!

We haven't received our docs yet, but our TA assured us that she'd FEDEX them and we should get them tomorrow.

I LOVE the idea of the lime green Mickey Mouse paint samples from Home Depot. DD9 wants to try to hook up with her email pals in the terminal, and I'm going to suggest this idea to her.

Movie list. Excellent. There are several of those movies I havn't seen yet.
