Hi all, hoping for some great advice for our June trip. Our oldest son is turning 10, so we timed it to coincide with his birthday. We're semi local passholders, so we've gone quite a bit in the last 6 months. He is asking for Space220, which I will try to get, but I want a good back up. We are a family of 5, where would you go? We've done a lot of the harder to get reservations, BOG, CRT, Sci-Fi, Ohana, along with many others. But there's also so much we haven't done, and I want it to be a cool experience for him.

TIA!

What about Hoop Dee Doo?

Hoop De Doo is a great suggestion. Space sounds cool if you can get it. My DS who is now 30 chose Chef Mickey's for his 9th bday, but we didn't go to DW often and that is the only time we have eaten there, so probably not relevant for yours!

How about a “grown up” meal, like Jiko or Tiffins?

Hoop is fun and they will acknowledge his birthday during the show. We also really love San Angel Inn inside the Mexico pavilion - very cool, immersive atmosphere

Does he like characters? If so, Garden Grill is lowkey my favorite one. I know a lot of people are waiting for the breakfast to come back but I actually really enjoyed lunch there (the salad is legitimately one of the best I've ever had because they grow everything in it downstairs in the greenhouses), and because the restaurant is so small the characters come by multiple times. Chip and Dale in particular were so fun on my grown adult birthday trip, even back during the modified character meal era where everything was distanced, that we're doing it again this year.

What about one of the restaurants at Yacht / Beach Club or Boardwalk followed by desert at Beaches and Cream? My son thought getting the Kitchen Sink Sundae was so much fun. Another restaurant he really enjoyed was the Whispering Canyon Cafe at Wilderness Lodge.
