Will be at WDW for our 10th (July 7th), and from what I'm reading on these boards, we should mention this to CM's a lot!

Our 10th is on the 8th, one day after yours. We went to WDW for our honeymoon. It was my first ever trip there and I have been hooked since. I don't think anything is guaranteed for a special occasion but I have heard of special treatment for some guests.

Did anyone out there get special treatment for an anniversary and what was it? Did you have to request, ask or suggest for the special treatment?

On our 10th we received "special seating" at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. I mentioned it to my Disney TA and then it was passed on to the agent who made ressies for the Hoop..what a nice treat that was. We made our ressies just a couple months ahead and received the "Honeymooner's Table...#13" which was front and centerstage. :teeth: I've heard the later you make your seating, the harder it is to get good seats. Ressies can be made 2 years out. At Disneyquest, we were given the "biggest" peices of cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory when I mentioned our 10th anniversary celebration. Also a CM at Disneyquest made me a card saying Happy Anniversary, I love cards and thought that was very sweet.
Don't expect anything then you won't be disappointed. However, when something is presented to you, it will only heighten your celebration. :cheer2: :cloud9:

My DH and I will be in WDW celebrating our 10 year anniversary June 5, we were married at the Yacht club in WDW 10 years ago, wow time goes by so quickly

We were there right after our 10th and my parents were there with us. So one night, I got them to watch the kids so we could have a date night. We went to DTD, watched a movie, played some mini-golf, and just had some fun. It was a lot like when we dated.

We just celebrated our 10th anniversary at WDW in April. This was our first trip to WDW. We stayed at the WL and they delivered an anniversary card with a photo signed by Mickey and Minnie. It had 3 balloons attached to it. At CRT, we received champagne flutes. At Chef Mickey's, we received signed placemats and the characters all came over to our table and brought us a cupcake with a candle on it.
We had a great time!

We celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary at WDW.
We did not mention it to anyone (our kids knew).
I sent DH some flowers (anniversary message) from the WDW florist.
I asked the Contemporary to place them in our room when they arrived, so it would be a surprise when we came back from the Parks.

The Contemporary did place the flowers from the WDW florist on the
table in the room. They also gave us an anniversary certificate, 2 glasses and a small bottle of wine.

What a nice surprise. So magic does happen - even if you do not brag about an event. :flower:

We are going back for our 21st anniversary. My family loves the HDD - so that is where we are celebrating it. I did mention our anniversary when I made our HDD reservations. But, we do not want to be picked to go up on the stage.
Maybe we;ll juts get an extra slice of stawberry shortcake !

We celebrated our 10th at the GF nine years ago! (I can't believe it's been that long!) It was going to be our one big blow-out vacation, a long-held dream to visit Disney World. It was our first trip, and extra special, so we went all out: renewing our vows at the YC gazebo, Disney wedding cake, dinner at V&A's, all that on top of two wonderful weeks in the Grand Floridian. We didn't realize then how much we were going to love it. Lo and behold, we went back the following year -- and many times after. Three years ago, we became happy DVC members :)

By all means, tell everyone you can that this is a special occasion. They very often do out of their way to add extra magic. We got a nice little fruit basket waiting for us in our room -- and when they screwed up and gave us a refrigerator that didn't work, spoiling food we had brought with us, they sent flowers and offered to reimburse us for the food :sunny:

Congrats -- and have fun! :love2:

We did that back in December.
We had a great time. Talk it up, your bound to receive some of that Disney Magic.

PS...Be careful.....We now have a Disney Souvenier due on Aug 27.

If you are going to celebrate an anniversary, you HAVE to do the carriage ride at Port Orleans--Riverside. We just got back and did this--it is very very romantic (even though we had our kids with us). We did it at dusk so the hotel buildings were just starting to light up--the river was beautiful. Its only $30--call 1-407-wdw-tour for ressie.

Thanks for the tip on the carriage ride! DH and I are always looking to do something different and a little romantic. That sounds like something we'd really enjoy. In 2 yrs. for our 20th, we're going to do a Vow Renewal at the wedding pavilion. Can't wait!
