Budget minded of course ;)
My dear friend is having her 10th wedding anniversary next week. She's the kind of friend that makes you rice casserole when you've been sick for the past 2 days (she just showed up with it today), and I'd like to do something nice for them. They are going away for the weekend, without their kids, and I thought it would be fun to send something for them to take.........or maybe not??? I thought a nice bottle of champagne but she doesn't drink, or a gift card to a restaurant, but that's so impersonal. Ideas??

Is she at all interested in cooking? You could get her a nice set of pans or pots or something. If she's good at it, then it's a plus for her hubby too! It doesn't have to be a huge set, sometimes just a few nice pieces are great. Incidentally, aside from diamonds, tin and aluminum are the traditional 10th anniversary gifts, so here are a few aluminum cook sets that aren't too expensive.

Personally, I always covet good cookware.

Hi,
I just attended an informal 10 year anniversary party.

I put together a pretty (and fairly inexpensive) gift that seemed to be a big hit!

I purchased a pretty wicker basket (on the idea of a picnic basket) inside I arranged - a bottle of wine (you could use sparkling cider) 2 wine glasses (purchased at Homegoods - very inexpensive) some Yankee candle votives inside glass holders, a box of cholcolates and a "romantic" movie (I think it was "Sleepless in Seattle"). I then wrapped the whole basket in celophane and put a big bow on top!

Everything they need for a "romantic" evening and not too expensive!!!;)

Good Luck!
