looking for all opinions re: a better choice for special 10 year anniversary dinner of all the signature restaurants. I am slightly partial to Narcooses' menu but open to all suggestions. will be dropping the kids off at kids club that evening. Thanks!:)

We'll be celebrating our 10th there this year as well :). Happy Anniversary! We haven't finalized anything, but I've gone from both ends of the spectrum. My ideas:

~Ohana's/watching fireworks on the beach after
~Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (if it's available that night)
~California Grill (this will probably be what we end up doing, hopefully with a good view of the fireworks)
~Vow Renewal - This is my dream, since I would've loved to have gotten married at Disney, but I don't think it will happen.

I would suggest either Cali Grill or Artist Point. Both offer consistently excellent food/service with superb wine lists(if you look for that).

We celebrated our 10th at YSH and the next year we went to Flying Fish on our anniversary. Both had great food and service, they also each did a little something to recognize it was our anniversary. I found the atmosphere at both to be pretty bustling/on the louder side, so not really a serene romantic atmosphere per say. On our 10th anniversary trip we ate at Bistro a different night - that was very, very romantic although I didn't think the food was as consistent (I loved my entree but my app was just so-so, dh loved his app but wasn't crazy about his entree). Hope you have a great anniversary!:goodvibes

If not on DDP, go to Bluezoo. My DDP choice would be Citricos. Enjoy!!

If not on dining plan, go to any of the upscale places at Swan/Dolphin; my favorite is bluezoo. These restaurants are more upscale with better food and service for the same price.

If limited to dining plan restaurants the best chance for a quiet romantic atmosphere will be Citricos, Jiko and Artist Point (and that's the order I'd rank them). Narcoosees and Ca Grill are the noisiest and overhyped IMO.

Private dining at GF is also nice. My son did his proposal dinner doing this with the Citricos menu but you could probably also do Narcoosees.

The best however is Victoria & Alberts. We have dined there several times and nothing else comes close.

We celebrated our 10th at the Cali Grill. We were seated in the wine room so it was a quieter room and we were able to see Epcot from our table. We left before MK fireworks, but loved the meal and service.

We were in the wine room with 2 other couples that were also dining for their 10th anniversary. Each of our tables had Mickey Confetti and a complimentary glass of champagne. Very relaxing and enjoyable time.

Enjoy the night out!

We will be celebrating our 11th this year and are going to Victoria and Albert's! We've never dined at anyplace even remotely like it and decided to take advantage of the kids' club (like you) and treat ourselves. Who knows when we'll have an opportunity like this again, since DH's schedule interferes with the planning anything in advance under normal circumstances.

If you can swing it, that would be a fantastic experience for an anniversary dinner.

We celebrated our 10th at Artist's Point, with the kids at the kids club. Lovely. If I could swing V&A, I'd do that. I liked not being far from the kids.

Were planning our 10th wedding anniversary too this year. We planned on eating at Ohanna's and having a cake delivered for dessert.

tell me more about Bluezoo..hubby likes the idea

Except for V&A, bluezoo is our favorite restaurant at WDW. Its got a modern and very adult vibe; we've always had incredible service.

I've never eaten anything here I didn't love. The scallop with pork appetizer is very good but I'm partial to the raw bar. I've had several entrees and have loved them all. The pastry chef is very good and except for V&A, this is the only place I order dessert and I usually get a special.

The mixologists in the lounge make amazing drinks so we usually start with a specialty martini.

Dinner is a nice pace; usually 2.5-3 hours for us. We've always had good luck and had quiet meals; we've only ever seen 1 child there and we've never been in there when convention goers were dining.

the grand floridian cafe is a lovely restaurant or the captains grill. both have really nice food. the wave is good if you fancy something different.

I am glad you asked this. DH and I are going to have a dinner to celebrate 25 years and send DS to the Sandcastle Club for the evening. He has me choosing and I am totally stumped!

We celebrated our 10th anniversary at the Chef's table at V&A.
We are foodies (DH worked in the restaurant biz) and 9 1/2
years later it's still the meal we talk about the most. If you're
looking for romantic you can't beat V&A dinning room, it's quiet,
elegant and kid free. My third choice would be the wine room at Cal Grill
I felt the main dinning room was a little too open, if you're looking for romantic. Your best bet there is to book so that your meal is before or
after the fireworks, and plan to go out on the deck to watch them. We had our meal before then sat in the bar for a drink. Even though we took out wine
outside with us the bartender reserved our seats at the bar.

What about Le Cellier, DH wants to try it too. I have heard mixed reviews though. Anyone??

We will be there for our 15th wedding anniversary in Feb. so I need ideas too.

All this anniversary talk made me want to join the thread :) My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 yr anniversary and we are planning an adult only trip in September/October. I am really looking forward to eating at some signature restaurants and am loving the suggestions.
We will be eating at California Grill next month for Valentines day, so I will let you know what we thought!

Jen
