101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

Oh ok, I was stressing a little there. Phew. Kids tend to remember these things at the most inopportune moments don't they. Of course you can always pull the "I'm the mommy/grown up" card

I have to hand it to everyone who goes to WDW with kids. I got to play surrogate mommy for a 10y/o, 14 y/o and 15 y/o boys on my June trip and my little goodness it's amazing I did not pull out my hair. The things these guys did and came up with. Half the trip I was in the middle of them and keeping them from each other. I got so beat up on that trip. Oh the stories I could tell....I definately needed some Lapus after that one

Sometimes kids make you need a drink. I buy it. I'm home all day every day with these guys doing school, etc. It's crazy some days!

When I went to visit my mom yesterday, she told me my 4 yr old nephew has been having headaches for the last week. The pedi ordered a Cat Scan for yesterday at 5p.m., and the results showed a large tumor on his brain.

I've been at the hospital all day and just got back home. I'm exausted.
It looks like it's benign and it looks like they got it all. We'll know more tomorrow after the MRI.
My cousin and her kids are coming in from out of state tomorrow to stay with me for 10 days, so I may be somewhat frazzled for a while. I'll update the PTR when I get a chance.

I have to say.... I love this Pre Trip!!!

I too am an early writer *cough* over 7 months *cough* There are some things that just can't wait... like going to the bathroom right before Spalsh Mountain. Unfortunately, my family saw it as an excuse to get out of the ride. Darn, the plans were spoiled by those rotten people I am related to. The bought the picture and it will forever haunt me.

I am sorry about the sunburns. Those hurt a lot. (mentally notes bring lots of sunblock).

My nephew is doing very well. I really appreciate all the hugs and prayers I got here.
The surgery went well on Wed. They removed all the tumor, which apparently was quite large. Being that he was so young, the brain and skull just moved around to make room. That actually was really good, because it prevented the tumor from pressing into his brain and cauing damage. The surgeon said the tumor looked benign. The results should be back today to confirm it.

Fast forward to yesterday when my cousin and I took our kids (5 total) to visit, my nephew was walking (!) around and talking like a champ. He was in the best mood. He is being released today. We're so thankful for the great reports and his recovery.

I'm absolutely exausted. I have driven back and forth (1 hr each way) at least 4 times to the hospitalsince last Tuesday, to the airport in another town, cleaned my brother's house, and kept my household together some how. I'm so tired. The emotional toll has been so exausting, I can't even explain it. But, we're settling down now. My cousin from Michigan is here through Sunday, so we're going to go shopping for school clothes and to have lunch now.
