You thought my bad night was over, didnt you? Think again.

I was hobbling and shivering back to the bus stop and saw that there was a bus for POR. K encouraged me to hurry ahead and get on, and theyd catch up. I didnt want to have to stand out in the cold anymore, so I hopped on the bus.
Suddenly I was being yelled at by the driver, You need to go in the front doors! I was so dazed. Huh? But theyre closed I said.

He wasnt very nice and said some more stuff under his breath. I really did want to cry again. What did I do to him?
After a minute, I realized what was going on. The driver had left the back door open while he was helping a disabled man get all settled into his spot. The disabled Vets family (Of course hes a war hero.

) were shooting me dirty looks. I really didnt understand what I had done at first. Eventually everyone else was let on the bus and we got back to the resort about 9:45p.m. I spent the whole ride feeling so stupid and trying not to make eye contact with anyone. I shivered the whole way back to POR.
Being our first full day, I didnt understand the bus driver and the wheelchair person protocol. I wasnt trying to be one of those people who thinks they own the place. Later in the trip, I saw the way they would shut the front doors of the bus and help the wheelchair into place, then let people on. Oops! I would never get on the bus if it wasn't my turn. I still think the bus driver could have had some patience with me.

I guess we all learn somehow and I did it the hard way.
When we got back to the room, I watched the news and found that the temp was 35 with a wind chill of 28 and 20+ mph winds. It was the coldest night in Orlando in the last five years! No wonder I was shivering, huh?
