101 things you MUST take with you every trip

I always take travel packs of WetOnes and Clorox wipes. One thing that I learned from the Dis was to take an air freshener (something that you don't currently use in your home). When you get home and use it, it will remind you of Disney. Worked really well.

Edited to add: I also take peppermint foot spray. So nice on tired feet.

Mole skin for blisters or irritated areas instead of bandaids
Small instant heating pads and instant ice packs.
Cooler bag when we had kids in stroller with water. Now we just use it for the pool.
Comfortable hat, extra shoes so you can switch them up if needed or as I found out, replace a pair of flip flops that broke

A shoe organizer. I hang it in the closet and put all of the little stuff in there that would normally clutter the counter.

My favorite, too. We take one on every trip whether it's DW or a cruise. Keeps the bathroom so neat and uncluttered! :goodvibes

Sunscreen and bug wipes. Come in very handy for a quick touchup when needed.

Peppermint foot lotion. I keep it in the fridge and it feels soooooooo good after a long hot day!

Oooo.... may have to add this to my list!

Extra pair of socks and Mole skin that is precut are my big 2. I have YET to find body glide!

My things that I take with me every trip (no matter where I'm going) are:

-Hat and/or sunglasses
-small wallet - I don't want to be carrying every card I own for the day just my license and cc/extra cash (I know you can now charge with the MB but I always feel better with some emergency money on hand just in case something doesn't work)
-ziplock bag or two - keeps electronics (phone, camera, ect.) safe from water rides and random rain storms
-water bottle - yes you can get water at CS but I find it best to have at least a little handy if you're in a line or waiting for a parade
-extra batteries for my camera - I ran out of batteries on my last trip in the middle of WS and I had to go all the way back to FW to locate AA batteries (I'm not sure if I just had rotten luck that day that all the stores didn't have any in WS or if that's the norm)

Advil, Tylenol, etc. as we always seem to need it and it is expensive at Disney.
For us, the "etc." is cold medicine, just in case, and papaya enzyme.

Was a great tip here before on this. Use a smarties tube and insert coins in correct order for the penny press machine, i.e., 2 quarters, a penny, repeat
We've always used M&M Minis tubes.

If you can't find precut Moleskin, make sure you pack scissors in your checked bag because you cannot tear that stuff.

My contribution would be air freshener of some type...for the bathroom.

  • Patience
  • A Sense of Humor
  • A Multi-Plug Outlet with USB Charger so that everyone can charge their phones at night.
  • Quart Sized Freezer Bags to put watches, wallets and phones into on water rides.
  • Flameless Candle to use as a nightlight in the bathroom. It will let out just enough light so that you can find the bathroom at night.

This is really silly, but I always bring Starbucks gift cards for the two parks that have one. If your GCs are registered with the app or website you can still use them and get stars for their rewards program, even if you're only buying snacks...:thumbsup2

We bring a small white noise machine, or you can download a white noise app for free for a phone or tablet. We find it very difficult to sleep in the hotel rooms without some kind of white noise.
Also, some cheap pool toys or diving sticks are great for the pools. It seems to help my shy kiddos make some friends to hang out with at the pool! So.... Less time for me to be the pool "entertainment" ;)

Insect repellant wipes
Antibacterial wipes - to wipe down airplane seatbelt and tray and use throughout the trip
Benadryl in case of allergic reactions
Laundry bag - not supplied at AoA recently
Disney Gift cards

Moleskin. As I get older my feet can't take the abuse. Moleskin works like a charm.

I agree with many posters.....
Power strips
Cheap ponchos
And snacks are a must!

But as the mother of a toddler..... I never realized that there were not rubber mats for the bathtubs in the rooms!! Now I never go without a cheap one and just toss it after my trip.

No more trying to wrangle a soapy kid in a slippery bathtub!!

Where do you find body glide?

Sporting Goods and Running Shoe stores have it. It looks like a "solid" deodorant - some people just use solid deodorant rather than Body Glide...same concept.
