And I for one will certainly miss him. Housing ownership at an all time high. The highest number of minorities who own homes. A 4.7% unemployment rate. The stock market doing very well, the economy is booming, inflation is well under control. I am sure that in a 1000 days he will have an opportunity to do more great things. Yeah- the economy is booming, for oil companies and people invested overseas- where all the jobs are going. I'll be sure to let all of my college-grad friends who are over-worked and underpaid and can barely find jobs in their professions know how well the economy is doing.

I love that the people who brag about the economy, including Pres. Bush, are the ones who are never hurt by it. They aren't hurt by the cuts in medicaid and potential cuts to the VOCA grants and all the other cuts to funding human need programs. Of course, some of that money will be funneled into funding for abstinence-only sex ed- which is an absolute joke, has no scientific research to prove it works (in fact, much of the research says the opposite), and the US has the highest rates of teen STDs, abortions, and pregnancies in the industrialized world. BUT, I'm sure telling kids "Just don't do it because President Bush doesn't want you to" will work.

I can't wait to see someone else in the Oval Office. I'd take anyone over "The Decider" at this rate.

I dunno, Dubya can do a LOT more damage in 1000 days.... I mean, that's approximately howlong we've been in Iraq now, isn't it (1134 to be exact). And he's only killed 2392 soldiers over there, so in 1000 more days it can't be that bad, right?
