I can't believe I'm so excited, but I am! Our trip got moved up to Sept of this year (from May 2005) because we had to cancel our beach vacation at the last minute. When I canceled that trip, I knew (and was told) that we had to forfeit everything we had paid for the house we had rented for the week, and I didn't have an issue with that; it was plainly stated in the contract when I rented.
Over the weekend, to my huge surprise, we got a check for $100 from the realty company! It was our security deposit!!! I guess we got it back because we didn't do any damage to the property, but I wasn't expecting it, just figured it was gone with the rest of the money!
