hi there . i have done some quick surfing on universal and related topics...
i know there is a citywalk ??
basically there are 6 of us close to universal ... we will not attend the parks (due to budget and time , we only have around 5hrs)...
is there a place to park and just look around , WITHOUT going into the parks ?? does it make sense to even consider this ?
is there like a boardwalk type place....is it worth it to see its surroundings??

thanks for all the expert help here !

We think of City Walk as like Downtown Disney. We walk around, shop & eat. You can see some of the parks from there. There are boats that go to the resorts if you want to take a boat just to look around. We usually spend time there after the parks

thanks for the info !.. is there a preferred place to park, any tips?? coming by car ??
I assume there is no free parking ???

You can park in the garage ($15.00/day) and explore the onsite hotels as well as CityWalk for several hours. There is no free parking.

I believe after 6p the parking in the garages drops to $3. Something to consider if you're all adults and looking for the nightlife at City Walk.

we are also looking for great ice cream in the area (big kids at heart!)

any suggestions .........

also how about great places to eat that wont eat the budget !!!

There are a lot of great places to eat in CIty Walk. We love Bubba Gumps & Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. In IOA, we like Mythos. In Universal, we like Monster Cafe & Finnigans.

The parking garage next to Citywalk typically reduces the parking fees after 8pm. Here's a link to all of those restaurants universalorlando.com/OverviewPages/Nightlife/citywalk_nightlife_overview.aspx

You must try Margaritaville if you have not done so.:thumbsup2
